From Victor's group, who all's still here? Are we waiting for Ero to relay Spinner's info about the empty room, or what?

Re: Questions and Answers

I've been doing this so long I sometimes forget that not everyone else 'knows the rules'.

If something is posted publicly such that everyone can read it, it means that the information was passed on. It's simply a waste of time and memory to repeat all of it over and over again.

That's not to say that the player can't post passing that information along and putting his own little twist or flavor to it. In Ero's case, you probably wouldn't understand what he said anyway. ;)

On the other hand, if a player wants the information kept private, then his request should also be private.

There's also the Two-Day Rule--if someone hasn't posted within two days (and that includes me!), then you are free to move the scene along... within reason, of course.

DM, correct no other doors visible, but far side of building unexplored for possible door/window?
No other exits from the cavern apparent?

Re: Questions and Answers

There are two buildings visible--a small one closer to you, and another larger one on the other side of it, probably connected. The larger building blocks the view of the rest of the cavern, so you can't see the other side yet nor even tell how large it is.

Spinner wasn't actually asked to survey the cavern, probably wasn't capable of doing that effectively, but he could easily spot an opening off on the left.

The buildings are built against the right-hand cavern wall. The small building is about 15' from wall to front, and the larger building sticks out another 20' past that. That still leaves about a 20-foot wide passage through the cavern.

Re: Questions and Answers

Hello everyone an Happy Valentine's Day!
I have had a lot to do around my new job and expecting to become a father in a few months, that this game has not been a top priority. I am not saying I am dropping out, because I would like to play. I am just letting you know I have relatively a lot on my plate, so that is why I haven't been active. I will do my best to try and find a little more time to participate.
Now let me go try catch up!

Re: Questions and Answers

Congratulations Krazh!
My wife and I are new parents of a 2-month old little bundle of girlish smiles.
Except when she needs to be fed - then she has daddy's lung capacity, quickly resolved with bright blue eyes when we resolve the need :)

As my father-in-law said, "May you have more sleep than I did until age 12," but with my addenum, "And just as many wonderful smiles and moments."

Re: Questions and Answers

Congrats, and condolences (for the loss of sleep!) I don't have any kids myself (still single, and not a one-night-stand type of guy,) but I have enough younger siblings to be familiar with the feeling of being woken up every night by crying, though its been awhile, since I don't live with them.

Anyway, I have a bit of insomnia to begin with these days, so when I finally do get to sleep, I'm usually hard to wake up. of course, I sleep ~100 feet from a train track, and have five dogs (who bark at every train, of course) so I've gotten very used to loud noise at all hours.

Hello people! I will be taking over the character of "Raus". I'm not very experienced with DnD, especially 5E, so I might need your patience and understanding, but I'm very much looking forward to play! :)

Ha-ha! Yes, I'd forgotten about that.

The booming of the surging water echoes through the caverns about every two minutes. It only lasts for a few seconds, but the echoes reverberating for nearly a minute.

Re: Questions and Answers

Sign is inside, but should be visible from the door, as long as no one is standing in the doorway. Raus could probably relay the message simply enough, or at least draw your attention to the sign. If you have any suggestions, VIctor is waiting until the next boom of water to make his move, so you have a short time to make them.

In reply to Nixon Nantickle (msg # 911):

Since only a single hinge holds each door, the doors are already hanging at an angle. Opening them should be easy; the issue would be to keep them from falling off.
