Not upset in slightest as Artem takes a swing at the hobgoblin.
"Or not"
It was not as if he cared for the beast, his own firebolt simply missed.

Re: The Road to Phandalin

With only one hobgoblin left, Mithra understands taking it out quickly. Failing to do so could still result in one of her allies getting injured or worse.

She swings at it.

22:21, Sun 07 June 2015: Mithra Stormraven rolled 15,8 using 1d20+3,1d8+3 ((12,5)).

I think that's a hit. Whether it's enough to finish it off remains to be seen.

Re: The Road to Phandalin

Amiri has been persistently searching for the Drow, and finally spots the brooding figure sitting perched atop one of the ruined walls, looking southeast. She's keeping an eye on the party that went after the returning hobgoblins.

Re: The Road to Phandalin

With the hobgoblins being dispatched Cunaar makes sure the rest of the ambush party is in good health. If so, figures they better regroup and see how to proceed from here.
"Let's get back to the others. Better to get on from here. Not exactly friendly."
Smiling he turns and leads the way back to the rest to see where things stand.

Maldor kicked at the corpses of the bugbears, greatclub ready, just in case.

"Lagrok dead. Good."

As the others prepared to part, he studied the direction from where the foes had run from.

"Maldor wonder why they run like they did. Could there be something else that way? I hope not. We have job to do."

In reply to Maldor (msg # 411):

Maldor could be right, so now there may be a use for the goblin prisoners.
"If so, we get our stuff together and send the lot of the goblins that way in mass. Let who or whatever chase them for a while."
He kind of chuckles at the thought of something trying to catch the little rats in the woods.

Artem nods in agreement with Cunaar's idea. "Yeah I guess if somethin' is chasing hobgobs then it probl'y would chase goblins too."

"I suppose we should go and see if the others have spotted the returning bugbears yet," says Ero.

"Aye" says Lureene. "They might be in need of aid, or healing perhaps."

"Heal?" Maldor questioned when he heard the cleric. "Maldor more worry that bugbear run from bigger something than bugbear."

The half-orc grinned. His lower fangs jutted upward.

"Would be nice to see dragon. Maldor don't think is dragon, yes, but Maldor always want see one. Good galnor, dragon be."

A sense of dreaming covered the fighter's eyes.

Re: The Road to Phandalin

To assure Maldor of his concern and to acknowledge his observation of the bugbears rapid traveling,
"Well my friend,, keep an eye out the door while we prepare to go. Thus we will not be taken by surprise."
It could be they were running from something and if they have time they may yet have use of the goblins.
Back with the others Cunaar will get a head count of the remaining goblins, so he can start making a suggestible plan. If its one thing they could do its run.

Re: The Road to Phandalin

"I don't think the hobgoblins were running from anything," Mithra suggests. "The wolves would have been prone to run hither and yon, on the prowl, so the hobs were probably just running with them."

"Besides, they seemed more... exuberant... as if they were just celebrating a successful raid."

"You are right, Lureene," the Warlock replies to Lureene's suggestion.

"If they are still alive, we should see about tending to their wounds. If any are dead, we can bury them."

Rihala did not wish to traipse through the room the goblin's had been using for a loo, so she retraced the way she'd come in. That still meant circling halfway around the ruins, but it was better than trying to climb up the crumbling walls.

She glanced back as she exited the ruins to see if Lureene or anyone else was coming with her.

Re: The Road to Phandalin

No sooner do Lureene and Rihala make it outside the ruins at the southeast corner than the others return.

Everyone then goes back into the ruins to make sure nothing and no one is left behind. Since everyone could agree on what to do about the goblins, they are turned loose and chased out of the ruins and told to flee south.

The last remaining wagon is loaded up with supplies, and those who can pull it do so. It's slow going, but there's no hurry now, so eventually you make it to the road, and then follow the road to the town of Phandalin.

Re: The Road to Phandalin

Cunaar for one is glad to be moving again, his captivity at the hands of goblins and such truly has left a bad taste in his mouth. Wen the time comesfor his turn he does not waver in giving it his all and though not as strong as others he is devoted to his team. At least once they get to town they can get some replacement horses and sate the thirst that grows in them all. He for one needed a drink.
"We cannot get there soon enough, I need a good drink and even more so a long bath."

Re: The Road to Phandalin

Maldor was fortunate to be sturdy. The orc half of him, added to his larger size, made the moving of the wagon easier than his teammates. But it was still work. And, when the group finally reached the town, he gave his brow a good wiping. But a bath was not the first thing on his mind. Sustenance was.

Mal scanned the area for a tavern.

"After wagon secure, Maldor think drink and eat be good."

He scratched his head. The long hair pulled back was drenched in sweat.

"I wonder how little girl is. I think Maldor find out how little girl is. Maldor want little girl be safe."

Artem helped as he could on the trip and was never in a foul mood. Whistling and humming seemed second nature to him, though he had little talent when compared to the bard. A drink sounded good too, though he didn't know if he could trust the proprietors in a "big town place."

Serena was chatting with the others.

"...so then he was like, 'yeah I'm a king and I've got gold. I'll take a demo first though.' Oh man almost can't believe that all worked. Almost." she said followed by a mirthful chuckle.

she looked at Artem then.

"And if it's a drink you'd like, then I've got good news. I found some coins under the 'king's' throne and intend to split them with everyone. So you'll have plenty to drink with. You and Ero in particular deserve it, so I've got a little something else for you two as well."

Re: The Road to Phandalin

Could someone please help me come up with a list of all the people who I'd like to give some coins too? They need to meet the following requirements:

*They were in Serena's "encampment' group.
*They participated in the goblin fort raid.
*AND are active in the game still.

Anyone from groups who aren't with the main camp group (i.e. the people who were attacked by styrges earlier), you may get some coins only if you're currently in the tavern our group is at in Phandalin.

so if anyone can please help me get a list, I'll sort the coins out.
