Re: OOC 2: OOC Harder
Another note: the goblin on the wall is currently balancing, meaning he has lost his Dex to AC. Poor goblins and their -1 Wisdom modifier...

Re: OOC 2: OOC Harder
I was intending to stop on the 'x' fo rubble, which is listed as rough terrain... not the ruins wall which has a full-round action(or proper jump/climb check) to scale, do I still need to balance?

Re: OOC 2: OOC Harder
I don't see any goblins ('s' on the map) that wouldn't have cover from you.

If you were to climb up onto a wall, or move out further from the tower, then that would change.

Let me know, then we'll finally get your turn resolved.

In reply to teslas (msg # 375):

I also said 'or the least amount of cover', since I've never had an eye for that kind of stuff. The obe that's like 30ft behind the flaming tree I guess? I mean I cant move 30ft AND climb a wall AND fire, so I'll take the issue of cover, just one without total, so I'm not balancing and lowering my ac while making myself a target.

We're in for a brawl, ya'll.

Thirty four humanoids enter, some amount less than that will leave!

I was intending to stand on the northern rubble pile, just behind Lenny.

Re: OOC 2: OOC Harder
God damn it, man. God damn it.

You could have used some words like "north pile of rubble" or something similar to be more explicit.

Let me modify the post.

edit-
Actually, that was a very simple edit. No goblins on the top side were without cover from you, either. And your decision for your 30' movement on this turn makes more sense now that you mention it...

For everyone: be as explicit as possible please. I know we don't have grid markers, so when in doubt, just mention your exact movements in order. An example might be: NE, NE, E, E, E for 30' of movement. Feel free to do this in a PM to the GM to keep the post nice and clean-looking for the other players.

For now, I'm going to see how tracking the party status in the daily weather thread goes. This way we even have a historical record of what kind of state you guys manage to get yourselves into, might be fun.

I'll reiterate that it's Bryn's turn just in case you've missed it.

Oren, go ahead and finally post your turn. If you post before Bryn can, I'll just attempt to honor the spirit of his first post as best I can.

These assholes are rolling surprisingly well D:

edit-
I need to make a party status thread to post HP and the like, but here it is now:

Lenny: -2
Bryn: -24
Oren: -4

Lenny and Oren are just scratched up a bit. Bryn has 51 max hp, to give you an idea. Wow, that seems high...

Oh, right, players get max HP for their first three HD in this game.

Speaking of this, has anyone not taken max HP for their first three HD?

Can I get around Bryn, or am I stuck in back?   I was hoping to get out in the melee

Around her to outside of the tower to the south?

Yes, but you'll be provoking mad AoO's. She's on top of difficult terrain right now, but yes, you can move through allies in battle as normal.

Looking at that, all of the 'm's and 's's are enemies. Your best bet is to take a step "back" north, toward the center of the tower.

Or just draw your weapon and start swinging because you're already in range of 2 enemies! Well, you may already have it drawn. I don't think you said you did (and if you did, sorry!), but in these circumstances I think it's not lame to retcon that you did.

In the future, I'll be more and more a stickler about such things, but this is our first encounter together.

Ah, I thought only the s marks were enemies.    What are the m ones?

Yrs, I definitely had my axe out.  It was out when the men started talking to us.  If there are enemies in axe range, I'll just start swinging then

Re: OOC 2: OOC Harder
The 'm's are the men that were begging for your help.

They are now trying to stab you.

This shouldn't surprise you since you were the only one to pass the Sense Motive check about them, haha.

And on your turn, swing away!

Waiting on Belkin Abidin now, however.

No idea, but probably? Yulina has 21 HP and 12 CON, so she would have 2d4+17 HP. Bad rolls if she did.

Agreed.

I don't think someone speaking impolitely warrants your murdering them, so yes, it's good for your alignment that they were already evil and tried to murder you first :p

In response to Oren's eventual action, I have differentiated the man that was originally doing most of the talking with the following character:

All the rest are just regular 'm's.
