Temporary OOC: 6th Character Options
Name: Lux
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Good/Neutral
Primary Motivation to Adventure: Make the Empire look great, then make the Empire actually great.

Background (brief for now): Lux is a privileged member of the Empire. He was born into a good family and had a good upbringing which spared him most of the negative aspects of the Aurelian Empire. He is naive and has a hard time understanding why people hate the Empire. He may or may have some awareness of its more brutal practices, and is on a grand adventure to reform the Empire's reputation in the world and reform the Empire itself.

Imagine an upper class white guy in the USA who never had to deal with everything negative about American society (sexism, racism, ageism), who then discovers all the  crap minorities deal with, as well as how Americans abroad treat the citizens of poor countries. He's on a quest to make America look great and also make America actually great in the end.

Lux was named so because his family is both optimistic and arrogant enough to think that their son will be like the makes of old.

Crunch (1st level class + any prestige classes or dips you think sound like fun for later on):

1. Sorcerer 20.

2. Can speak all major languages. Northern, Eastern, Western, Southern, and Orc. I will spend skill points if I don't have enough intelligence for bonus languages.

3. Leadership at level 6 if allowed. I wont use it for cohort shenanigans but to have an actual minions doing my bidding behind the scenes. I can't be everywhere, so I'll rely on my minions to gather info and handle minor league issues for me.

4. I am not married to the sorcerer class. Lux's background can work for any class, whatever the party needs.

Is this okay?

Reply from DM:

Sexism? Ageism? Racism? What the hell are you talking about. I'm a just-now-thirty-year-old white male American and I've never seen any of that >_>

Leadership is a thing, and here's the houserule on it:

Leadership
It's allowed, but your cohort may only be an Expert or Warrior. No character class levels. Followers are all as normal. Granted, having an Expert with a bunch of Decipher Script, languages, and knowledges or something like that is still an extremely nice thing for a feat.

Temporary OOC: 6th Character Options
Name: Shagga Likes Axes (WIP)
Race: Dwarf
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Primary Motivation to Adventure: Mercenary; money, honor, punishment
Background (brief for now): Exiled from his stronghold for excessive brawling, Shagga now works alternately as a bounty hunter or guard in human cities.
Crunch (1st level class + any prestige classes or dips you think sound like fun for later on):
Ranger(possibly urban variant to avoid stepping on Lenny's toes, or not if Lenny is an urban varient), Dual Dwarven Waraxes w/ Oversized TWF.  Haven't looked into PrCs yet.

DM Note: The name is tentative, of course. And it's a dwarf!

Temporary OOC: 6th Character Options
Name: Sir Gannon Star
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Primary Motivation to Adventure: Narcissism
Background (brief for now): Son of a tailor to the wealthy, envied nobility until he concocted the great lie to make himself nobility.  Adventures to grow his fame and credibility as a knight.
Crunch (1st level class + any prestige classes or dips you think sound like fun for later on):
Bard, possibly taking Battle Caster to cast in Medium armor, maybe a fighter dip for proficiencies.  Maybe using Perform: Acting so that him acting heroic and knightly is his Bardic Music.

Temporary OOC: 6th Character Options
Before I post a concept, I'd like to sell myself just a little.  I've played DnD in various incarnations since the Basic Boxset came out in '88. I'm not that old, but Dungeons and Dragons has been a lifelong friend since the age of 8.  I've DM'd on RPOL, i've run games in RL, and up until recently ran a successful DnD campaign that lasted 2 years and several major story-arcs.   That said, I've no experience with Greyhawk or any other AD&D setting (i preferred to create my own).

I'm hoping to find a game to enjoy the story-telling aspect of DnD with, playing in role and having fun with a character and the plot.  But I am far from an expert on the Crunch.  It takes a secondary seat for me.

That said, reading the players wanted thread, this game really caught my interest - possibly because of the post rate, and possibly because it's a successful game.  Either way, I would be honoured if you'd have me aboard.

Below is a possible arcane spell-caster concept.  If it doesn't suit, please let me know and I'll try another, if thats okay.

Name:
Ember
Race:
Human
Gender:
Female
Alignment:
Neutral Good
Background (brief for now):
Ember would be mostly human, with a bit of Red-Dragon Blood in her that has manifested itself in her physical features as well as in her love of flames.  She was a foundling, taken in by a Priest and raised as his daughter, and yet hated by the rest of the isolated village residents.  She has never had real friends. Her ultimate aim is to find her heritage, to discover who she is - once that is done, she may well spend time trying to deny the evil of the blood in her veins by doing more and more good in the world.
Crunch (1st level class + any prestige classes or dips you think sound like fun for later on):
Straight Wizard universalist,  with a penchant for spells with flames and heat in them.

The concept itself isn't gender-centric and would work as a male or female of the same name.  I just had an image of what I was going for in my head, lol.

DM Note: I suggested that we make something similar to silverbrow humans from Dragon Magic for this.

Temporary OOC: 6th Character Options
Name: Trasin the Wanderer
Race: Half-Elf
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Primary Motivation to Adventure: Tired of seeing the evils of the world preying on the good and weak.
Background (brief for now): Being from the Island colonies, Trasin has always been sneered at for his "Half-breed" status. It was early in his life that he decided to wander the world. Through his wandering, Trasin found that he could cast magics even while engaging a foe in "honest" combat. For years he traveled and saw what his island colony had to offer. Eventually, Trasin gathered enough funds to travel to the mainland, and it was a new experience.  As Trasin traveled through this "new" land, he watched as people were beaten for no apparent reason. Trasin vowed to himself, that should he ever have the ability, he would help those who suffered. Trasin has wandered the world and eventually fell in with a group of adventurers.
Crunch (1st level class + any prestige classes or dips you think sound like fun for later on): Duskblade (PHB2 pages 19-24) and possibly Arcane Archer (DMG 176-177). Would take feats to improve both ranged and melee combat.

Temporary OOC: 6th Character Options
Name: Hanto Sunslayer
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Alignment : Depends on Class Lawful Good/Lawful Nutrial
Primary Motivation: To do good in this world
Background:5th Son of a Blacksmith he had a good childhood was well educated by older siblings (could read and write as well as basic maths and culture but was only a smiths son not a noble) and was shown how the basics of smiting by his farther but there was not enough to go round once he came of age. His older brothers became apprentices at surrounding forges but there were not enough to take him as well.
Depending on the class he leaves for adventure/the Order/to become famous ......

First choice of class would be paladin (to blacksmith/craft/fire deity) but I'm happy to play almost anything depending on what the group has/is missing (not pure spell caster or thief though)

Thank you very much.

Temporary OOC: 6th Character Options
Name: Tywin Darkeyes
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic neutral
Primary Motivation to Adventure: Wealth, Tywin is a bit greedy, however holding a mundane job to make money is not his thing, and while not opposed to the shadier side of life, petty theft, bribery and other crimes are against his somewhat lopsided moral code.
Background (brief for now): Tywin was born of nothing, is nothing but will be something. This life is an illusion, and he knows all to well how to play that game.
Crunch (1st level class + any prestige classes or dips you think sound like fun for later on): Beguiler,

So i will go with Beguiler for the first 6 levels then do a 1 level dip into mindbender.

Additionally i would like to move into Shadowcraft Mage after 8th level. While it has a gnome racial requirement it also has the ability to re-fluff it built into the class. The purpose of this build is to control the battlefield with illusion and enchantment spells while having the ability to assist in other functions. While it is not the powerhouse of a wizard nor is it a fireball throwing arcane caster it will allow the other members of the party to perform there roles better while still helping on the battlefield.

DM Note: Small. Bits. Of. Bad. Grammar. Cannot. Go. Unnoticed.
