Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

"I have a bad feeling about this."he said quietly to himself. He couldn't help but to think this situation was going to go wildly out-of-control. He ran the scenario through his head. Two desperate criminals bounties in one bar with two different bounty hunting teams with acrimonious history. How could this get any worse. Zonvar thought himself. "At least this will be entertaining."

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

As they edged closer to their adversary, Char suddenly spoke up over the comlink. "We have another complication. Looks like the local boys-in-blue decided to join the fun."

As if on cue, 2 local police force officers entered the bar.  One of them stood by the door while the other walked over to the bartender and showed him a holo-image.

"Anyone get a visual on that? I cannot see what they are looking at from here."

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

Zonvar stood with this back to the bar trying to blend in as one of the patrons impatiently waiting for a drink. He even went so far as to pretending to be ignored by the bartender.

"Sorry I couldn't get a good look, too many people in my way. I just hope half the bar doesn't run out the door."
He waited to see which way they would go

"That is ok.  Just keep your eyes on him and be ready to move. He is NOT escaping us this time!"

The 2 local police officers talk to the bartender for a moment, and as one of them is putting way the holo-image, it is flashed out to the bar for a second.

"Looks like they want our prey. The image was our bounty. They might get in our way."

"Great. Now they are involved too. This went from an 'easy mark' to a 3-way competition. I thought this guy was small time? Who did he piss off??"

Char moved a little closer to the door as Teelk kept his eyes on the rival bounty hunter.

One of the waitstaff finally approached him and waited for an order. Zonvar could tell that she was knew because she was young and looked a little nervous. So A moment later he had a mug of the local stuff. He handed the young  Togruta the credits. He made his way through the crowd while casualy on lookout.

"Roger that, but just who is this other bounty hunter?" he said as he entered a particularly noisy part of the bar.

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

Teelk almost growled into the shared comlink.

"That evil, slimy, <untranslated words in Trandosha> of a hutt is none other then Stac As'terban. He used to be a partner. Before he screwed us of a bounty and left us stranded in the Dune Sea. He will PAY!!!!"

"Whoa, calm down. He will get his. And I do not care if there is a bounty on his head or not. We will make SURE he pays. But not here, not in public. And especially NOT with those security goons here."

As if on cue, the security personnel moved in closer to As'terban. One of then leaned in and talked to him for a moment, then stood back up and walked outside. As'terban handed the bartender a credit chip, then turned to leave the bar.

"Damn! He is leaving before the target is. I was hoping to get them both together...."

Char trailed off as his eyes stayed glued on his new target.

Now Zonvar was pretty good at picking up languages, but he wasn't sure what the heck Teelk was saying about Stac As"terban. It was clear that he was upset to the point that he was actually seething. The Red eyed rookie"s ears were ringing and he couldn't readjust the volume settings fast enough. "Burning quasars, I think I get the point."

"Teelk, cool it! I know your feelings on him, but going off now is not going to help ANY of us!"

As Char tried to calm his partner down, the 2 security personnel came closer to Zonvar's location.  Stac moved out the front door and left with a small group of patrons who all seemed to be seperate and not part of a larger group.

"I lost that kriffing double crosser! Zonvar, do you have sight of him? Make sure you do not lose him!"

Char started to move towards the front of the bar, but was slowed by the large groups of patrons milling about.

"I have Stac in my site he's leaving.I'll trail him since he doesn't even know who I am. So in hindsight this works out rather well."  He began blending back into the crowd while keeping just enough distance from the man not to be noticed. Fortunately this Chiss was well adapt in tracking and stalking

"Looks like our target is leaving too. The bounty is headed out the front door. I can be there, but not until after he leaves.  I hate to say this, but keep on the target."

Immedietly after saying that a loud and extremely angry string of what can only be assumed is Trandosha curses is heard over the comlink.

"I know!!! But we need the money and unfortunately revenge is not getting us paid! We get the bounty and the money then we get even!"

The original bounty is seeing walking out the front door just ahead of Zonvar.  Stac is already out the door and presumably walking away from their location.

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

The bounty walked away from the bar at a brisk pace.  He moved like he was late for something.

There seemed to be more of the local police force outside in the streets then before.  It could just be that it is later in the evening.  Either way, the streets were more crowded and harder to maneuver through.

"Stay on him! I just got out but I do not see either of you.  What is your location?"

" We are already up the street and around the corner. This guy is in quite a hurry. I won't lose my mark even though he is trying desperately to distance himself from the bar and its patrons."  Zonvar  took even greater precautions so he would not be seen. His years of tracking and stalking prepared him for avoiding a target gaze.

The guy looked back once or twice as he hurried along, then suddenly ducked inside a bar.  He moved inside quickly and was lost in the crowd easily.

"Teelk is keeping his eyes on Stac. He is determined not to let him get away.  You still have eyes on the bounty?"

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

Zonvar walked into the bar and saw the man he was chasing holding a blaster pistol.  His hand was shaking as he looked back at the entrace.  There was a large man on the floor next to him holding his head.  There was a Nautolan standing to the side of the bounty yelling at him to calm down and put the blaster down.  On seeing Zonver, the man straightens and points the blaster at him.

"Why are you following me?!?? Who are you?!? Why are you chasing me?!? I didn't do anything to you!!!"

His hand is shaking as well as the rest of his body. He seems unstable and his voice is too high to be at his normal tone.

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

He didn't expect the man to be so quick on his feet and quick on the uptake . Given his situation, the most he could actually do was stall till back up arrived or he could just have a shoot out.  First he still needed to let his team know where he was ,fortunately he still had his com link open.
"Am I to believe you think I followed you up the street and around the corner from one bar to the next. Are you on spice?! I left the previous bar because there was too much security for my taste. If you don't mind I'd like a drink "  He acts very casual about the situation almost nonchalant as if the other guy is just paranoid.

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

"No way!!! I saw you talking to them!! They have been following me! I am not going that easily! I will shoot!!! I swear!!"

His hand shook as he yelled his response and kept looking at Zonvar, then around the bar.  His eyes were wild and he looked ready to snap at any second.

Standing over the large man on the ground was a Nautolian and a human.  The human looked after the downed man, and the Nautolian looked back and forth from Zonvar to the man with the blaster.

The rest of the crowd slowly backed away.

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

Much to the credit of the Chiss species, his composure remained calm  yet unreadable. He kept talking only to wait for an opening, then he would blast"Yeah I talked to a lot of people it's a bar after all. Also they, whoever they are, would still be here right and do you see them."  Also at any moment he was expecting to get shot himself so he braced himself for anything.

While he was shakily pointing the blaster at Zonvar, the Nautolian suddenly moved forward.  She brought a bow off her back and smacked the man directly in the head with it.  He crumpled to the ground immedietly and lay there groaning in pain.  The blaster fell from his hand and slid across the floor out of reach and into the crowd.

Char's voice cut in on the comlink as soon as the man went down.  "You ok, kid?? What is going on? You have him handeled?"

"All clear here", he briefly describes to his team what all transpired before going to go pick up the body. He picks up the blaster and heads over to the unconscious man."Well that didn't take too long at all, I need you to stan-back, thanks in advance"  he pulled his binders out and began to handcuff the man while still being very aware of his surroundings.

"He was a danger to everyone here, though it would seem he wasn't quite as crazy as he appeared, was he?" the Nautolan said, putting her bow back over her shoulder.

"I don't suppose there is any compensation for doing your work for you?" She leaned down to help the large man with the leather vest to his feet.

A smile crossed the blue skinned man's face as he cuffed both the hands and legs. He then searched him to make sure their wouldn't be any surprises later, also hoping to find some extra credits or gear. "Normally no...Normally. You did do me a favor though, so here's 50 credits and his blaster. Thanks by the way. I wish it were more but times are hard for everyone, but i'm sure the blaster might fetch some nice credits." He looked the blaster over before he handed it over to the Nautolan.

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

"So you're a Bounty Hunter then." While the tone in her voice sounded indifferent, the tentacles that protruded from the back of her head wriggled; a tell that she was at least partially impressed.

"Hrm. I've found creatures in the wild tend to have more intelligence than the various sapient species I've come across. Case in point."
she said, taking the blaster and gesturing to the man the Bounty Hunter was currently putting in binders.

Re: Zonvar: New Allies, New Enemies

"Yes in the wild it's basic instinct, no greed to corrupt that. In some ways it a bit simpler." Zonvor stood up and nodded his head in agreement. He stored the other contents form in his bounty into his pack.

"Ok I have our mark how are things on your end," he said into his com link. The thought of there bounty having back up somewhere crossed his mind. He slid his weapon out and waited should he have need of it. He then waited for his team's response.
