Duen Jalos: Doctor Without Orders

"Hey, you. Someone left this for you."

The bartender handed a datapad to Duen and then moved down the bar.  He went back to taking orders and did not pay the note any further attention.

Meet me outside in 15 minutes.

The note was sparse and did not have anymore information.  It was purposefully vague and did not have any identifying information.  It could be a trap, or it could be something important. Either way, there was an amount of risk and danger involved.

Re: Duen Jalos: Doctor Without Orders

Duen frowned as he looked at the datapad and thought about what it implied. On the one hand, it could be nothing as he had been asking around about work. On the other hand, it could be something worse. He downed his drink and shrugged. *Either way, it's better than jsut sitting here losing what little creds I have left. You would think that just luck would once work my way with a good hand of Sabbacc. But nope, not yet.*

He stood up, sliding creds over toward the bartender. "Thanks. Any idea who left it for me?"

Re: Duen Jalos: Doctor Without Orders

The bartender looked up from another patron with a scowl on his face. "Do I look like a secretary droid?" He then turned back to the other customer and ignored Duen.

Duen shrugged. "Just asking was all. Sorry to offend..." He turned and headed out the door, getting some fresh air from the suddenly stale environment.

Once outside, he headed for the corner of the building and waited, keeping an eye out around him as he waited.

Re: Duen Jalos: Doctor Without Orders

As he stood at the location and waited, a small Rodian child walked up to him.

"Here mister."

He held out a small datasheet to Duen.

Duen smiled as he took the datasheet. "Thanks little one. For your trouble...." He pulled out a pair of credchips and handed to the youngster. Not waiting for a reaction, he took a closer look at the datasheet as he began walking down the street.

Re: Duen Jalos: Doctor Without Orders

The datasheet was simple and only contained two words: "They know."

That was all. No other marks or words or identifying marks.

Re: Duen Jalos: Doctor Without Orders

Durn frowned. He'd gotten messages like this before and it was usually what qualifies as a "bad thing". Several times in the last few months he'd gotten similar and forte out of the area just before some bounty hunter or worse arrived. After a couple moments thoughts, he decided his best bet was to try to catch a ride off-world as soon as possible. As he started heading for the spaceport, another thought hit him. Why was he running? Maybe he should just stick around and find out just how bad it was. Then again, that could get him killed. i hate days like rhis......

Re: Duen Jalos: Doctor Without Orders

That feeling returned.  The one where it feels like a warm senstion that starts at the bottom of your spine then slowly rises up.  The one where it feels every person around is staring at you. The one that freaks you out and makes you want to run screaming in the opposite direction.  And the one that has never really failed you before...
