The droid continued on and on about the family history of Lord Deikun and his position as CEO of Balmorran Arms and Robotics Technologies. It stopped once they reached the end of the platform and turned to look at Maliq.

".....reported they increased profits by a total of 0.00006% last quarter, which was on track based on the findings reported last year.  Here is where you can rent a transport that will take you anywhere in the city you would like to go. There are others that can handle longer planetary based transports, if you would like to visit other cities or regions on the planet. From here you can either rent a transport or hire one to take you to the headquarters of Balmorran Arms and Robotics Technologies."

There was a small enclosed pathway that lead outside the spaceport to the street outside.  There were a number of local transports, ground and aerial based, that could take one to any destination in the city.

Maliq pays close attention to what the droid says concerning Lord Deikun and his company while trying to stay conscious of any unusual tremors in the force. "Thank you for the information. I think we'll rent an air speeder?" He looks to the other Jedi for any objections.

Jax had started to wander back towards the spaceport after sending his message and doing some research. As luck would have it, he saw Maliq and Jido walking out of the spaceport with a guide droid just as he approached the entrance.

"An airspeeder would be good, how about one with a closed roof."

"I see nothing wrong with renting a speeder with an enclosed roof since it will protect us from any unwanted attention.Jax while we fly could you appraise me on what the weapon choice of the Sith was when you fought her last."Jido says grimly.He thinks to himself if the Sith is in league with this Lord Deikun or if they are both Sith this was going to complicate the mission more than it already was.Jido proceeds to center himself on the Jedi code in anticipation of the coming fight.

"Yes, that was my thinking as well."

"Yes. An airspeeder with a closed roof would serve us well. Can you show us to a suitable model?" Maliq again folds his arms across his torso with his hands tucked into the sleeves, thinking to himself; assessing the possibilities, probabilities, and inevitabilities of the upcoming encounter with Lord Deikun. Is he friend, foe, or neutral? Is he ignorant to the probable threat? Not likely. You don't become a "Lord" by being out of the loop. And you don't become successful in interstellar business without accurate and timely intel. So it's only safe to be cautious. Maybe he shouldn't be told exactly why the Jedi have arrived on Balmorra... His thoughts trail off. "We should be careful what we say in public. You never know who is listening. We can discuss things at a hotel. Speaking of hotels..." Maliq turns to the droid once more. "Where can we secure a room close to the Balmorran Arms and Robotics Technologies headquarters?"

The droid took a step back and reponded in an apologetic tone.  "I apologize, but all hotels near the BART headquarters are either on hold or rented currently. With the party Lord Deikun is holding tonight, there are very few places avaiable in the center of the city. If you are willing to travel some, there are some cheaper places available on the outskirts of the city."

It turned to the speeder rental stand and pointed an arm at a mostly empty lot.  "The same is with the speeders.  Many are rented for tonight's gala and therefore are not currently available.  I can have one brought forward for you if you like from the remaining stock."

"I guess we don't have much of a choice but to take advantage of what's available." Maliq sighs and shakes his head in a display of inpatients and frustration. "Yes, please. Show us what airspeeders you have in stock. Also, where is this party being held?"

The droid points to a mostly empty lot with only a few speeders left.  "There is the available stock.  There might be other dealers with more, but these are the best you can find. The party tonight is being held in the Grand Operatic Hall. It is a gala to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of Balmorran Arms and Robotics Technologies."

"Then we'll take that one." Maliq points to a random airspeeder, anxious to get started on the matter at hand. The speeder was a dark, metallic grey with not many notable features. Just something to get from point A to point B. Again he looks to his partners for any objections. "We still have to find somewhere to stay during our visit." He shakes his head. "Probably something we should have done before we arrived." And then to the droid. "How much for the speeder?"

"You can rent a speeder for 250 credits for the week. Just make sure to bring it back on time an without any damage in order to get the full deposit of 75 credits returned."

"Thank you. We'll take it." Maliq starts heading toward the speeder but pauses. "When does the party start"

"The party starts at 7pm Balmorran standard time."

"Do you need an invitiation for the party or is it more of an open celebration? We'd love to pay a visit and express our congratulations on this historic accomplishment."

"The party is closed to the company personnel and their esteemed guests. You must be on the list in order to attened the event."

"Then I guess we'll have to head to Lord Deikun's office and make sure we're on that list."

"Lord Deikun is currently unavilable. His next available appointment is for tomorrow at 10am."

"Well then I guess we'll just have to wait until then." Maliq shoots a glance at his partners, hoping they understand. "Thank you for your services."

"Very well, sir.  Just the speeder then?"

"Yes, thank you." Turning once more in the direction of the speeder after handing the payment to the droid, Maliq pauses. "How, exactly, would one gain an invitation to the gala?"

"The only way to get an invitation is to be an employee, relative, or noble. There are other invites that you could get, but they need to come from one of the lords. And I believe only Lord Deikun or Lord Zabi can still extend an invitation. Both of them are currently involved in a council meeting at the statehouse and will not be available until shortly before the gala."

"One last question before we leave. Who are all the Lord's here on Balmorra?"

"Including all minor houses and honorary titles, there are currently 173 individuals with the title of "Lord" currently on file. Would you like an oral listing of each lord, their full title, lineage, and current displomatic relations?"
