As they walk back to the speeder, Jax runs other ideas thought his dual brains, "Perhaps one of the other major families might be more amenable to our approach... Maliq, you seemed to have the most background on Balmorra, any ideas on who to approach?"

You notice an increased presence from the last time you were outside the building. In fact, it seems as if a few drones are tracking your movement.

[Private to Maliq: The next largest rival family would be Lord Zabi.]

"Looks like Lord Zabi is next on the list."

"Sounds good. I'll take lead this time. What should I know about him and his organization?

"I dont know much about him beside his name. Im sure that theres public information about him though. Lets check a database and find out something about him. We also need to find our exactly who is keeping tabs on us and why. Im sure you've noticed the drones."

Whoever is looking for information, give me a roll. I want to see how much public vs private data you can find.  If using computers, do computer check.  Otherwise, if you are asking around, do a streetwise check. Bascic, public information 1 Difficulty.  Private, sensitive information 3D.

09:47, Today: Maliq rolled 1 success, 3 threats using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 2a 3d. computer.

The data is pulled up and appears on the screen:

"The Zabi family was once the ruling family on Balmorra with the most profitable company and the majority of control over the planet's governing body.  This changed about 10 years ago when the now deceased Lord Lucious Zabi died due to complications from old age.  His rival, Lord Anaval Yazen Amar Zum Deikun staged a coup and was able to take over control of the Ruling Council and Balmorran Arms and Robotics Technologies during the instability that followed.  Since then, The Zabi family has been mostly outed from day-to-day governing and corporate operations. They are rarely seen in public these days."

Maliq takes his time rummaging through the information the computer terminal displays. Though not much of a computer whiz, he finds it quite simple to navigate. Maliq shares his findings with his partner, Jax.
"Looks like it might be easier to deal with this Lord Zabi than with Lord Deikun. What do you think?"

Jax is still mulling all the new information in his dual brains, "It would seem that while Deikun had nothing to gain as he is already on top, Zabi lost his spot as the top dog, and might be looking for allies."

"My thinking exactly. How do you want to do this? I know last time wasn't the smoothest of operations on my part but this time let's do this the right way. With a plan."

"Let's see if we can dig a little deeper for better intel on this one."

Can I make a harder computers check to dig up more dirt on these guys?

OOC:  Wow.  Ok.  Going to need time to think up this answer. Should have it up by tomorrow.  I take it you are planning to meet him?  In that case, want to just post the looking for him and I Can fill in the search results later?

And those threats, in addition to Maliqs, are going to REALLLLLLLLLLLLLY hurt.

The results will tell you he is most likely at his family's mansion outside the city.  Normal security for a billionaire who is in exile.

A deeper search into the Balmorran databases reveal that Zabi lives in a mansion at the outskirts of the city. Since his family has lost influence he has taken to being a bit of a hermit, largely remaining on the compound.

"It looks like he should be at the Zabi compound at the edge of town. Let's stop circling the city streets and head that way. With any luck we've lost some of those drones in these dense streets."

"Sounds like a plan." Maliq adjusts his course, heading to Lord Zabi's compound.

Outside the city proper, in a more residential district, a large mansion appeared at the top of a hill.  It was well back from the main road and there was a large gate that was closed at the edge of the street.  2 large guard droids stood on either side monitoring all traffic.  A smaller droid, about normal human height, stood in between and by the gate controls.

In reply to GameMaster (msg # 115):

"Droid,may we pass we have business to conduct that will profit your master." states the Zabrak as he exits the speeder.

The 2 large droids turn their bodies and weapon systems on the Jedi.  The smaller droid looks at all 3 before speaking.

"Please state your name, corporate affiliation, planet of origin, and reason for visiting. A scan of your faces does not reveal any appointments or meetings scheduled. For security reasons you must be scanned and entered into the database before proceeding."

As Jido talks to the droids near the gate, Maliq still feels pretty uneasy about the drones that have been following them. He keeps his head on a swivel, periodically checking for any of them or anything else that might be tracking them.

I'm assuming that would be a perception or vigilance check?

Perception.  Or vigilence. I will let you use whatever is higher.
