The whole block seemed full or run down warehouses.  Most seemed empty, or in light use. Some did not appear used in a long time.  But this one was listed as the meeting site. It did not look different from any of the others, but the address matched. And it was almost the right time too. About 40 minutes past midnight where the traffic had thinned in this district and only a few individuals were seen about. The warehouse showed no signs of being occupied, but there was a dull light on over a closed door.

Roq spends15 minutes carefully going over the perimeter. Double checking to if there's anything that doesn't appear to belong or looks like trouble. And how many ways there are in and out of the warehouse. Not exactly trusting his new employer just yet.

Koy checks her pistol nervously before making sure it's secure in its consealed holster. She'd never had any intention of delving into illegitimate work, but recent bureacracy and a crazed crime lord on her tails wasn't helping to make an honest living. Trying to appear as calm as she could, she waited for the meet to begin.

The warehouse and the surrounding area looks quiet. There are very few beings around at this time of night. There appears the 1 main door, 2 cargo doors, and another back door to the building.  Looking hard, it looks like someone might be watching the building from the next street over. But as soon as you glance at the form it moves away.

Everything outside is quiet.

Roq makes sure his shock glove's were secure on his hands. They were shaking a little as memory's of the last time he wore them. Were flashing in his head, his wifes body on the floor, blood everywhere, the feeling of the gun's barrel pressed against the back of his skull. He shook his head trying to clear his mind of it. Not wanting it to distract him in case there was trouble waiting for him in the warehouse. He then entered the warehouse.

Koy stays close to Roq. Her skills as a pilot were only just beginning to bloom, but she was certainly no soldier or enforcer as her companion appeared to be.

The door opened, and there were 2 beings standing on either side.  One was an angry looking Barabel, and the other a Whipid.  They looked over Roq and Koy and glared at them.

"They are good. Let them pass." The voice of the Quarren from earlier was heard behind them.  The two stood aside, opening up the path deeper into the warehouse.  The Quarren and Devaronian stood side-by-side about hlafway into the warehouse.  There were many crates and shipping containers placed throughout. There also looked like a computer bank setup near the back, but it was too dark to really see well.

Roq walked past the two thugs, giving them bad looks as he did. "Looks like you got a good setup here. I assume the person that was watching me on the roof was one of yours."

"Indeed. And the one on the opposite roof. And the one in the alleyway. And the one on the street."

He looked over at the Devaronian, then gestured to an area cloaked in shadows.  Three more individuals came forward then. Between the tall forms of a Nikto and a Klatoonian was a pale-skinned humanoid. The Nikto and Klatoonian were dressed in clothes that looked like they had seem much hard use. The humanoid female looked more well-kept and out of place with all the rest of these individuals.

"You chose to trust us, so it is time for us to trust you.  Here are your associates for this undertaking. They, too, have an issue with the Hutts and were swayed by my words."

The Quarren bowed towards the group, then turned to the Devaronian.  "Now, I must take my leave. I am only the headhunter. What happens after I leave is of no concern to me. And the less I know, the less I can incriminate anyone. After tonight, I doubt we will meet again. I wish you all luck and good fortune."

The Quarren stood up straight, bowed to the Devaronian, and then quickly left the building via the front doors.

The Devaronian watched him go, then turned to the newcomers.  "So, shall we begin?"

"It is high time we got this under way," the humanoid woman spoke up, adjusting her glasses while adding, "I doubt we are the only ones hoping to use this opportunity."

"Yes I agree I've seen enough of this planet."Roq says to the  humanoid woman while cracking his knuckles.

The Devaronian smiled, and looked at Roq. "Well, if you do not like this planet, maybe Nar Shaddaa will be more to your liking."

"Nar Shadaa huh, going right into the rancors den aren't we. "Roq says with an inquisitive look and then asks. "So what's the plan."

"The plan is to go in, hit the Hutts, steal their credits and anything valuable. And make sure no one stops us."

The Nikto spoke for the first time. His voice was low and intense.

"I know this particular Hutt. And I will make sure he suffers."

The Devaronian spoke up to cut him off. "Yes, yes, we will make sure to steal his valuables. But I think our friend means the overall plan. The part about how we get in and avoid getting killed as soon as we step foot inside. Fortunately, such a plan exists. And it involves one of the oldest cliches in the book. The fake prisoner transfer."

"And let me guess, I'm going to be playing the prisoner. So when am i going to meet the rest of this team. I'm going to be a part of."Roq says with an interested tone.

The Devaronian smiled and rubbed his hands together. "Actually, no. You are not the prisoner. You are the distraction. HE is the prisoner."

The Devaronian looked to the side and a large Weequay stepped out of the darkness. His face was scarred and showed the signs of recent injury.  There was a small gash on his chin, and other small cuts on his arms. He wrists showed burn marks in the pattern of high-powered stun cuffs.

"They will not be happy to see me. They will want to kill me. And that is when you can cause the distraction."

"Okay that sounds like a good plan. What exactly do you want me to do start a fight as the distraction?"

"If need be. Security will be tense and on edge with our friend here. So if YOU show up at the same time, they are bound to screw up. And once they screw up, we have an opportunity to use that chaos to our advantage."

The Devaronian turned and pulled open a case sitting on a crate.  He then walked over to Roq and handed him a data-card.  "This is a false id. It should hold up enough to fool your ride and get you off planet. Then, you need to convince them to take you to see Speegella the Cruel."

Roq took the data-card and says. "Speegella the Cruel huh sounds like a swell guy. Got any tips on how to convince them? Like  anyone he'd be afraid to refuse a messenger from?"

The Devaronian looked at him and laughed a little.  "He is one of the Hutts who know about your.....situation.  Your presence alone will be enough of a distraction. ESPECIALLY with my friend here."

He looked at the Weequay who nodded. "The Two of us, in the same room. That will get ANY Hutt's attention. I wonder which he will be more upset to see."

Roq looked at the devaronian. "Well that's good to know. So who are the people I should watch out for? And is there anyone you want me to make sure won't be a problem."

The Devaronian smiled again, and looked at the Weequay.  "Just be aware of the security forces. And make sure there are no surprises in the crowd. No one who might screw up our plans our oppose us."

He then turned to look at the short female that stood between them.  "Is there anything else you would like to add to the briefing?"

"Try to keep a low profile before showtime. If we are going to get chaos, we need surprise."

Arms crossed,  she shifted her gaze over to the twi'lek, "You have been rather quiet Miss Koy, I take it you figured out your part?"

The Devaronian and Weequay looked at Koy as well.

"Are you ok? Are you having second thoughts? Beginning to wonder if we are crazy and all that?"

"I'm sure anyone can have second thoughts. About crossing a hutt. You'll get over it .Now how about we get this thing going."

The Devaronian laughed and looked at Roq. "A man of action. Perfect. We are still missing a player of two, but that should be resolved shortly. I need one other action from you, Mr R. I need you to draw some attention to yourself and set the trap for our final players."

Roq nods at the Devaronian. "Well I have to be. It won't be long before my keepers try to track me down. That'll be easy to do where do you want me to do it. And who are the players I should be expecting to trap."

"To gain an audience, we need to make sure our arrival is genuine. And what better way to make sure we are seen as legit then being brought in by a semi-famous bounty hunter?  I happen to know one is on planet at this moment." The Devaronian smiled and rubbed his hands together.

The Weequay looked at the small Arkanian woman as he spoke.  "Our associate here has leaked some information about your presence on planet. And that the bounty on your head has gone up to the local holo-net.  Just enough to spike an interest.  We just need you to be visible and draw some attention."

Koy has not signed in for the last week, so I am moving ahead. She can catch up.

[Private to Viera Mantisa: Feel free to be creative and describe the bounty posting. As well as anything else you like for the mission.]

"I think I can manage that."Roq says thinking on what he should do. He figures that if the bounty hunter was good he'll be looking for him at a bar. "If there isn't anything else I should know. I'll be out causing trouble."

"The hunter is a Rodian named Theeke. Former law-enforcement. Very profesional, prefers live-capture and sonic weapons."

Viera pulls out a datapad from one of her pockets and starts pressing a few keys. "I would suggest heading to Chedin's square, judging by Theeke's search patterns he will visit that place not too long from now. There is plenty of opportunity to cause trouble there." She hands over the datapad, the display showing a bounty posting.

Roq looks at the bounty and says to viera. "Disturbance of the piece huh that gives me an idea. I'm gonna need some alcohol. And help from you miss, I'm sorry what's your name. Or is that not something you want to keep to yourself?"

"It's Mantisa." Getting a pointed from the Devaronian she shrugs, "He already knows my face, the name won't hurt."

Turning back to Roq she raises an eyebrow, "What do you need my help with?"

The Devaronian sighed in response.  "That is your choice. From here, we just refer to each other by our race. Harder to betray us this way."

Roq smiled. "You can help me spot theekes . And help me draw his attention if you can handle it."

The Devaronian nodded and smiled.  _{"Very good. You bring us this Bounty Hunter, and we will work with the Twi'lek to make the ship ready. The faster you catch him, the faster we can get our payment."}

Roq nodded. "Don't worry I'll get you your rodian here in no time." He then headed out to Chedin's square.

Either way works for me. In any case, Viera is going to change into something more discrete and lower class before meeting up with Roq at the square.

Over Viera and Roq's comlinks (and Jase since she hacked it) an annoyed and worried voice speaks.

"Is that commotion out there your doing?!? Everyone ok? Did you acquire the new hire?"

"Yes and no. We should meet in person, the comm is compromised."

"Agreed. Return to base for debriefing."

"Viera, we have a situation.  It looks like someone tried to hack into our encrypted comms. They tried at the time all that chaos was going on in the square. You might want to look into this."

"V I've made it out of the square and am heading back to the inn. You have any trouble getting out"

"Another security issue? At this rate we'll have to resort to carrier birds." Viera's tone hints at irritation. "I made it out without issue, I will meet you at the inn."

Sorry about the posting silence, I was waiting for Roq to make it out to keep things in synch.

Also, since I'm not sure of a easy way to convey this in character, could you refer to my character as "Mantisa" rather than "Viera", please? There is a reason I said "Mantisa" and not "Viera" when Roq asked my name, keeping things by surname feels more professional and in-line with my character.

No problem. I can change it and refer however you like. I initially was going to go with only using your role as the name when talking to the group. But then even I got confused who the hell I was referring to.

"Alright see you there." Roq turned off his comlink puts it away and thinks to himself. Oh man if Agtab hears about this I'm a dead man.and makes his way to the warehouse.

Both of you are clear of the square. You can post here returning to the warehouse with the other members of the team. Or post somewhere else if you like.  If you need me to make a new thread, let me know.

Roq arrived at the warehouse after making sure he wasn't being followed and went inside.

The lights were mostly off in the warehouse, but Roq could tell someone was watching the door from the corner. He could almost feel the blaster pointed at him as he was identified.  A few seconds later the lights went up a little and he saw the Whipid and Devaronian standing near the back office talking together. He was too far away to hear their conversation.

Roq cautiously approaches the back room, he didn't exactly trust his new employer yet  especially with a blaster pointed at him. As he got closer he tried to listen in on the conversation. Part of him worried about the fact that Mantisa nowhere to be seey.

Making doubly sure she was not followed, and that the outside sentries were in place, Viera took her time arriving. As she entered she turned her head towards where she expected the inside-sentry to stand watch, giving the guard a moment to identify her before continuing further in.

The guards watched Roq and Mantisa enter, and nodded at both.  They returned to watching the entrance as the 2 associates moved to the back of the warehouse.

Once they were all in place, the Devaronian spoke up.

"It appears our plan has run into some outside interference. And our pilot was lost in the chaos. We need to regroup and figure out how to salvage this situation."

The Whipid looked over each of them before speaking.  "You were not followed, right?"

"Of course not." Viera quirked an eyebrow at the Devarionan, "We lost the pilot? Well, at least we can work around that, or find a replacement." She continued with a small sigh, "The comm intrusions on the other hand are a larger concern. Depending on who is behind each they could be disastrous."

The Devaronian nodded at her assesment.  "Agreed. Pilots are easy to come by. Someone who hacked our comms? That is a problem. A BIG one.  Do you think you can track them down and see who it was?"

Roq nodded at the devaronian. "Yeah I  think we can track  them down. What do you want us to do when we find them? Try to recruit them or take care of them?l

The Devaronian and Whipid glanced at each other for a second and then back at Roq.

"I will leave that up to you. If they seem they can be trusted or turned to our cause, then recruit them. If they are unreasonable, or a government agent, then eliminate them.  And if they are working for the Hutts? Destroy everything they hold dear."

Roq gives the two an angry look and says to them aggressively. "Listen here you two I'm not in this for your cause  I'm here to get back at the hutt that killed my wife. But if you want me to do what he did to me. Then I'm sorry you have the wrong man."

The large Nikto, who had been mostly quiet since the initial meeting, spoke up.

"Our associate has the right idea. We are not here for violence for the sake of violence. Or to kill and injure innocents. Or even to kill all Hutts. This is about a specific Hutt and his family. The ones that ruined my tribe. And enslaved my family for fun. HE is the one we hurt and injure. Not his lackeys."

The Whipid and Devaronian both looked at him and stepped back.

"Do you agree? We make this Hutt suffer for what he has done to ruin my life and my family. But we are honorable. We only go after those who deserve our wrath."

Roq looked at them and nodded. "Yes as long as we're in agreement on that front. So where do you think we should start on our search for this hacker."

The Devaronian held out a datapad to Roq.

"Shortly before you arrived someone hit our network again. We thought our network was secure, but that does not appear the case.  We think we located the intruder at this location.  Will you investigate?"

Roq takes the datapad. "Yes I will. What information do you have on the area? Anybody around there I should be worried about?"he asks after he gets his answer he moves to leave. Before he does he turns to Mantisa and asks. "You coming along or am I going by myself?

"Oh, I'm coming. If someone breaches our network I would very much like a face-to-face."

Apologies for the lack of posts, work plus a heat wave left little time and energy for other things than sleep.

"The area is near the spaceport. And there are many potential threats or enemies that might come in via the spaceport. There is a potential this is also a setup. But either way we cannot just ignore a violation of our comms."

He had set up the meeting, with Jace, whether it will go well he didn't know. He entered the wharehouse  wondering how long until he could get off the planet. No doubt Agtab's men would be looking for him by now.

Once Roq arrived at the warehouse, he noticed the team was packing up.  All but the communications equipment was being stripped down and packed into crates.  Klevelin was in a discussion with the Whipid and Devaronian in a side room.

Seeing that they were packing up, Roq guessed they must have found a pilot. He approached Kelvin hoping that this doesn't mean that they'll decide to not to recruit Jace.

Klevelin spots Roq walking towards him and pauses his conversation.

"How did your meeting turn out? Is this slicer a threat? Or a potential ally?"

"It went well she's willing to join us. She wants to meet with you  in a cantina to work out the details of her employment."

The others around Klevelin paused upon hearing that remark.  "Me? She wants to meet me? Personally? In a public location?"

The Devaronian shook his head and spoke up. "This is a trap. She means to expose us to the authorities. Or maybe the Hutts."

"Relax she only wants to meet the person who's in charge of negotiating her pay. If you don't want to you could send just Viera and me. While you leave to wherever your next destination is. and the reason she wants to meet in public, is that she is comfortable that we won't try to take her out."Roq says trying to assure them that it's okay.

Klevelin listened to the argument and then replied.  "I cannot be seen in public. Already the police and bounty hunters are closing in on us. We are moving ahead of schedule so no one finds us here. I will empower you to contact this hacker and win her to our cause."

Roq nods and says. "Very well sir I'm sure she will understand. I'll be on my way. How long will you be here and how will I contact you.  if you aren't here when I get back?" As soon as he gets his answer he leaves for the meeting.
