The Zeison Sha were generally dismissive of the Republic, but actively hated the Jedi for abandoning them millennia ago. As an offworlder, I would probably still respect the Republic but would have picked up at least a distrust of Jedi. Sid could work with one if needed, but I don't know if he would prolong a working relationship by choice.

This brings up some interesting choices.

I would like to assist the jedi in their stories. my character doesn't want to get involved in the war. so he's going to need a good reason, my suggestion would be that the hutt that killed his wife is working with the empire.

I am really hoping this does not devolve into a recruitment thread. Or at least come up with some good incentives.

While I am going through this reorganization, does anyone wish to change or create a new/different character? I am not suggesting anyone do so, but just offering it up as now would be a good time to change things around.

Considering the fact that I'm currently running 2 other games, I realized I don't want to over extend myself in the GM department. I can still help out here or there when needed though.

My potential co-GM has decided to back down.  I fully support the decision as there were concerns over time and taking on too much. I personally know that feeling all too well.

I am willing to come back - my work schedule has dropped back to a "sane" level and I'm trying to get back into my games. I had just started when my job went insane, so there's not a lot of character development yet.

I am one of the un-aligned - specifically I play a seer type character who uses Seek & Foresee to chart my course. I fly an old exploration ship.

Status update:

I have a co-GM who is going to take on the non-force users.  This will allow me to focus mainly on the force section of the story.   I am still looking for another GM to help me take some of the Jedi since I have more then I anticipated.

I have 1 Jedi changing sides to Sith and a new player that might be Sith too. That can help even out the ranks a bit.

Isn't it annoying; there you are, minding your own business when all of a sudden these nimrods come out of nowhere blowing crap up, using your merchandise to throw at each other & generally scaring away all the paying customers. Why do we even go to shady bars with big bouncers to do business anymore?
