Re: Commenor: The Meeting

Miko scratches her chin, and eyes you speculatively, "Ah, well, Woontar says he mentioned the Kashyyyk job and you didn't seem interested. Not that you look up to such a job, Your friend here perhaps." She says eyeing Roq. "But at the moment, once We reach Kwenn, I don't yet have an Outbound Cargo lined up yet. For the mean time, Either of you good at manning a turret? There could be pirates between here and Kwenn, and having a few extra pair of hands on the guns could be useful in a bad situation."

Roq takes the other seat next to Jace, and accepted the wine when offered. "Thanks." he lifted his cup and started drinking from it. Letting Jace do all the talking. he flinched slightly when the captain shot a look at him worried that they might know who he was.

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

Using weapons of any kind was not her thing, besides her mind of course. "I don't know about Roq here, but you don't want me on guns, however if there is any damage to your ship, I can help with repairs. I am also handy with computers."

She felt her partner tense up and implored him wth her eyes to relax. Observation along could tell a man that he was good with guns or a hunter, the way he walked or made sure his back was always to a wall.

Roq relaxed with Jaces help, while he couldn't hit the broad side of a sandcrawler he didn't want to make a good impression on the captain.  "Well I prefer getting up close and personal with the people I'm fighting I'm good with a blaster."

Miko Ponders a Moment and then says "Well, You, Roq, I might be able to use as a Bodygaurd on some of my Transactions, if your interested?" She then looks at Jase, "As for you, I can put you to work on some of our systems, I may have some other tasks you can aid me with, but I am going to need to put some hought into it. In the meantime, we have a Few days travel before reaching Dock at Kwen Station."

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

Jase finished her wine, it was retched, but she suspected it was her lack of a palette as opposed to it being rotgut. "Anytime you need help with your systems, let me know or if you have a mechanic on board you want me to work with, you can let me know their name." Tired, as the adrenaline seeped from her body, Jase stifled a yawn, before saying, "Thank you for your time, Captain."

She stood, looked at Roq to see if he was joining her and headed back to their berth with or without him.

OOC:
Overseer, I am not sure if you want to continue roleplaying in the ship or if we want to have time pass until we either hit the station or are hit by pirates.

Roq finished his wine, it was good, he wasn't much of a wine drinker but it surprisingly tasted good to him. "You need a bodyguard I'm your man, just tell me who to take down and I'll knock them into next week."Tired from all the running Roq stretched his body before saying. "Yes thank you captain you won't regret it."
He then followed Jace back to their berth to get some much needed rest.

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

A Few days later, the trip having been, so far, uneventful, Miko Calls the two of you to the common room.

"Thanks for joining me. I have a proposition for the two of you. I am currently carrying a Cargo of Alderanian wine, which isn't a problem really anywhere in the galaxy. An okay profit, but nothing spectacular. The Real profit is in a Smaller Cargo I am carrying for a Different customer. It's on the down low, as it were. I am not completely sure of who the End customer is. I just have a Name to contact once we arrive at Kwenn. The profit is Good... Perhaps to good, but I couldn't pass it up right now, we could really use the credits right now.
So what I am looking for from you is if you"
She looks at Jase, "can help identify who the Receivers are working for so I know what I am going into. and if you Roq, Would be interested in acting as my backup or Bodyguard when I make delivery, Just in case they try to stiff me on he Payment, Or stiff me Literally, Into my grave."

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

It had been a long, boring trip. Jase was antsy, she preferred to be on the ground, where she had access to intergalactic network. Just when she was going to do something drastic, the Captain...Miko, she had to get used to calling the woman by her first name called them in for a job.

She looked at Roq, they had talked, a lot, in the past few days, become more of a cohesive unit instead of two strangers, "We are interested in helping out, what are you offering in exchange?"

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

It had been a long, sleepless trip. Roq was tired, he had been having nightmares the whole trip. Just when he seemed to get some good sleep, the captain...Miko was her name he recalled had called them in.  He felt weird it had been a long time since he needed to remember someone's name.

He looked at Jace, they had learned a lot about each other, he felt like he could trust her and that they had each others back. "Yes what do we get. I assume that a portion of the credits from the job will go to us?"

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

Miko Pours herself a Glass of the ever present wine that seems to always be stocked in the common room. "The Alderanian Wine itself will bring in a sparse 2 to 3000 credits. This has a very small profit above my expenses bringing it here. It is the secondary product I am smuggling in with the Wine that has the potential for greater profits. I expect to make, at minimum, 30,000 from the transaction."

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

"So we are looking at a minimum of 1500 credits each for this job," she said. It seemed reasonable to her, heck breaking into systems was game for the young slicer, she probably would have done it for free. "How much time do I have to find the information you want? I could do the search from the ship once we are closer to the Station, but that adds some complexity to hide where my signal. We don't want it traced back to the ship. If I had time to access from a public node once we've landed that would be perfect."

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

Miko replies, "I'll leave that detail to you. Once in system, we may have to wait a few hours for docking. Then of course there is getting through customs, which can take more or less time depending on how much we are willing, or able, to bribe the inspectors. Either way, it won't be immediate to be released for unloading. I also have to wait for contact from the buyers of the secondary product.
I also have to find some buyers for the Alderanian Ale. Think you might be any help there?"

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

"Once in system, I can definitely connect to the trade boards and see if there is anyone interested in Alderanian Ale. If not, I can post that we have some for sale, just let me know what is the price per unit. I could also use my special talents and make sure ours is the best price anyone will get." She was excited, looking forward to using her skills before they atrophy.

She turned to Roq, "What do you think?"

"We are agreed."

"If you could provide me the details on what price you want for the wine, I will start looking for a buyer. Also, any and all information you have about the special delivery, please send it over."

Jase was cautiously optimistic, she had a new home and more people she could trust.

Later, in their room, she asked Roq, "Are you concerned that your slug might see this crew as friends?"

OOC: I don't need to know the price as a player, just know that there is a price the Captain is seeking. Also once in the system, Jase will use her computer skills to locate the current Market boards to find a buyer. Depending on what she finds relating to Alderaan Wine, she might even manipulate other Captain's prices to make it seem like Miko's slightly higher price is still the best price.

Roq was nervous, he it had been a long time since he had settled down. Much less been a part of a team.

In their room Roq replied. "I'm always concerned about who he might consider as friends. But they seem like they might be able to handle themselves in a fight. While your looking for a buyer see if you can find out any information on anybody who might want the slug dead here. We might want to take him down but I doubt the captain will."

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

She provides you the details.

The Buyer of the special Cargo is some one named Horruke.

You arrive in system in another 2 days.
The Captain informs you it is going to be about 3 hours before Docking is allowed. She asks if that will be enough time.

Will need computer rolls to slice the net with difficulties of

3D for getting the best price on the Wine.

2D 1C for getting info on Horruke.

3D 1C to see if you can find some one opposed to Your "Slug" here.

Re: Commenor: The Meeting

(Sorry for the delay, Health issues, Thank you for your patience )

You Are unable to find any info on anyone who might have a beef with the Slug.
Butt.. interestingly, Horruke is deeply involved in the underworld here on Kwenn Station and else where. He seems to have connections. And you uncover a communication between him and an unknown buyer looking to purchase Battle Droid Program chips, delivery to made at Cloud city.
