Re: Merry Christmas, Everyone!

alright ready to restart. I have a small issue to deal with concerning the events I had planned for the evening. But nothing that can't be fixed with some careful GM wizardry.

I have been busy wth the new revision of the rules. We'll be staying with the ones we are currently using.

The new rules are pretty solid, but the first edition of mongoose rules is solid enough for our needs.

The only changes I'll be making are on my side and have to do with how ships are put together..so unless anyone wants to take a course in starshp design 101 I don't see the new revisions impacting the game for you guys.

You will notice is the artwork will be better than MSpaint scribbles I have done before.

During my sabbatical, I have been working on my modeling, and design abilities connected with my seriously delayed book for Mongoose.

So if you see this....You might want to go back and get a bigger ship...It's a Q'sa battleship...and if you remember from the previous storyline...they Q'sa don't like you guys so much.

Yeah its ugly as a mudbrick and looks like it's been through hell, and half of Georgia. But I am pretty happy that I got it to look this good :D :P

Alas...it appears as though my dance is merely acceptable.

08:15, Today: T'risa K'mahda rolled 8 using 2d6+3.  dance.

congrats on the model. I see you've been busy in the other thread you posted :-)
I think I can safely say we'll do our utmost to avoid battleships until our dreadnought comes back online.

Re: Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Well, Hell. So got news from mongoose today, due to workload and projected scheduling they are not going to be able to do my book....guess how happy I was t hear that.

But, the good news as that using a new licencing agreement, I can now self-publish my material with some support from mongoose.

I am not a happy camper about losing out on a proper publishing contract...but hell, most of the work is already done, and I have art of my own now. So now all I have to do is get the book formatted and laid out properly and I am good to go.

anyone know anybody with experience doing book layouts and publishing software???? I have a 150 page book to put together.

I think your art is awesome and will gladly buy your book. Hopefully you can find some resource to self make it.

I've done a lot of proof reading in my time, and I worked with Adobe Framemaker a long time ago when I was a technical author, but that was a very long time ago. I honestly think I've forgotten everything I knew about it.

right now it's a peacock parade, feathers include...just looking pretty has it's advantages. Unfortunately, one of the individuals who chose to drop had a key part to play in the proceeding...so i am trying to get you guys back into the ship and off the planet as smoothly as possible.

By the way Elspeth was there, Balkiir..and poppy is Looking on waiting to meet the guy with the pretty feathers ...nd scars...lots of scars....( smacks Poppy i the hand and puts her back in her box...) Geesh some NPC just push their wy forward without warning

Re: Merry Christmas, Everyone!

As duly noted, Elsbeth is there.  She was staring down some of the honor guard apparently for a bit (darned those high rolls..:D).  I'll try to post getting out of that situation as soon as I can...

Or Balkiir can come and save me.

Re: Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Oh most certainly, Alex could introduce you if he wished. At this point, you are his personal assistant.

Even as Cyberoids who haven't been emancipated yet are considered Sentient and are treated as sentient, at most social events...The O'maeda are still a little behind the curve as are a few other Human factions..but at TAE, Valkkiir, and  official Imperial Functions they are considered guests, or personal staff...not hardware.

There has been a slight hiccup in my ISP they are really good at canceling accounts but not so hot at setting up new ones SSheeshhhh, or fixing billing errors...

yeah I know the transportation issues, due to a complete failure of the front end of my truck I am a pedestrian right now...

Also, I would like to pick up the pace a little before everyone drops off the map due to lengthy delays...does anyone have issues with that?

my attention hs been diverted a bit due to trying to land two jobs doing art for actual published games...but I am more than willing/able to pick up my pace if you guys  are.

I don't have anything to add if anything I say has already been thought of and the boss has her own plan.

Ready to move forward and try executing boss' plan.

The reception was part of a nice little scenario suggested by a player..who had a part to play in it..who then quit the game... and dumped it all in my lap..so I got derailed and sort of lost focus for a bit

There is some information the Admiral can give you, and then your off.

Seems that's pretty much the number two reason for games on this site not lasting.   Number one being real life is a bitch tends get in the way.

For me tis number one. Everything goes well.....until it doesn't and I get sidetracked for a while. Then I finally get things back on track and can post again.

The reception adds to our situation I think. Diplomacy and deals are part of my...*cough* our plan to stabilise this sector.

Still here!  Summer has been undeniably hectic - but, am willing to try and get back into the swing of things here.

Elsbeth is a fish out of water with respect to the politics.  But that won't stop me from posting ... :D  It just won't be much more than naval contemplation ... ;)
