Re: Pacing

Fighters are loaded and ready to go

Trust 6 gravitcs/12 with afterburners( one hour fuel for boosters)
they are armed with a single fixed pulse laser.

these are TAU built ships..actually built by K'mahda family so they are designed for use by Tae, and Valkiir as well....you won't have to suck it in to fit inside the cockpit. but leg room is at a premium you might need help to get out afterward :P

as a side note, TAU forces don't rely on fighters in an offensive role they view them as a support element for the main fleet.....so they are usually set up as interceptors..fast, good sensors, and not much armor....and the radios suck..royally you are going to be hearing a lot of static and distortion anytime you use them....

usually they use Psionics to coordinate movement of fighters so the radios are there as a backup...

In reply to Prometheus (msg # 352):

So yeah, flying around in one of these fighters is suicidal is basically what your saying.

Oh well, doesn't help I have no idea what I'm doing for combat anyways so should totally work out for the best lol.

Re: Pacing

So basically, you're in a TIE fighter. A collection of parts made by the cheapest bidder to be flown by expendable mooks when droids aren't an option for some reason.

The sensors are good though, so you know exactly what you're going to get killed by.

Thank you for flying TAU ;)

Re: Pacing

They are well made, and not suicidal. TAU pilots are experts at using speed, precision and agility over firepower and armor. against the normal enemies of the TAU they are ver capable. It's only when they go up against TAE, Or Valkiir fighters they run into trouble.

compared to a run of the mill raider/pirate fighter they are high-end Porches/Lamborghinis with a cannon.and for shooting own and intercepting missiles, torpedoes and boarding craft...and ugly freakish critters from the depths of hyperspace.... they are perfectly suited to the role.

in this case, you have a major advantage most Kraken can't take any damage at all from a starship/fighter grade weapon. they have the equivalent of

0 structure and 0 Hull. if you hit the with your weapon they pop like a big bloody balloon.

in combat, you have a few options

Attack
Evade
Outrun
Pursue

you can designate how much thrust you use for speed, and how much for agility...for every of thrust used for agility you can choose to evade an attack, shoot down a missile.or execute some other maneuver to protect yourself/carrier vessel.

I'll post a list of combat maneuvers and orders you and give/execute asap.

Re: Pacing

well that took a while...I just sent my ship catalog off to be approved by online store I am using.

that's a lot of work done....and the back to the process of working up the next one.

after teaching myself to use Blender, teaching myself to use Indesign and a couple f other programs my head hurts...worse than working out a couple hundred pages of material.

Re: Pacing

This M'n'kuhl is in a flying CAS tank like an A-10. 150 vehicle armor  distributed 200 ventral front 100 dorsal back and 150 sides.

Not as good as a fighter for space combat having fusion gun and lazer best against personnel but way better than battle dress.
It is made to fight battledress infantry with ease and might survive a ship laser with a low roll .

combat capabilities

In reply to IooOoo'NackhAa (msg # 367):

sorry, it took so long to get things worked out. I had prepared the background material ahead of time but couldn't find it when I went to go post it..had to  recreate a lot of stuff from scratch.

Your battleframe on the other hand can take down an apache gunship. Those combat frames actually make him slightly more powerful than Elspeth with her battledress and plasma gun. your biggest advantage is that you can fire on anything crawling over the exterior of a ship without actually damaging the ship.

Elspeth  may not have the same heavy weapons but she  can definitely win a fist fight with a Krogan...or two...maybe three if she's feeling rowdy. Now if she hops in an EVA combat pod she can flash fry an entire platoon of Krogan.

However neither of you should Get in front of Kendrick or Alex in their LIGHT starfighters. the average starfighter is roughly as powerful as an M-1 Abrams main battle tank that can hover, duck sideways, and hit Mach3 without straining.

the Audacious Rose is about as powerful as an Aegis Cruiser, loaded with anti-aircraft, and anti-ship missiles....so no playing chicken with corvettes...

Now the real magic happens when Trisa, Lyn and Mister Soleil get involved they can drastically increase combat effectiveness. if they can coordinate they can increase he Audacious Roses to hit score To +4 and her damage to +2 so those little beam lasers  are hitting at +4 and doing 1d6+2 against targets that have 4 points of armor at most.

the missiles will do 2d6 per missile that gets past point defense and  the ship can offload about a dozen of them a round...

And there is the fact that T'risa is a Battlewitch...she can change what she does after the fact to a certain degree due to the fact she is a Precognitive.

What I want people to do it post their actions in narrative form,  If you all agree I can handle the mechanics at my end and you can roll three 2d6 roles and add them to your posts. I'll explain options and rules as I go along

I was away back home over the winter holidays.
but I'm back now!
Though admittedly things did not go well over the holiday and I needed to go visit the hospital...but all is good now.

No bonuses for my coordination?

:-)

I'll take a look at what's going on and update tomorrow.
