IC 3: Roving around Raevin
Meek nods and leads you out of the inn, back into the tangle of streets which are starting to fill once more as the last of the night fades away and the day starts to wear in. Meek takes you into an area you've not yet visited, the streets growing wider as you go. You pass the occasional building which looks clearly much more recently-built than its neighbours, something which happens with more frequency the further you get. At one point you pass a large space with no buildings, though it seems that some did once stand there. Given what you've learned of Raevin in recent days, it's not hard to guess what might have happened here.
Eventually you come to a fairly large stone building. It looks perhaps a little worn around the edges but certainly sturdy. A low wall runs around the outside, giving it a little space from the surrounding city, though this wall has clearly seen better days and looks in something of a state of disrepair. It looks in one part to have been destroyed completely. Again, it can be guessed at what might have caused such damage, in which case giving it lower priority than things such as homes and orphanages seems only fair. A set of strong-looking, wooden double doors etched with various strange symbols forms the entrance to the building, a few wide and shallow steps leading up to it.
Meek gestures to the building.
"Well, here we are." he says. "The head librarian is a chap called Arandor. Decent enough fellow, but doesn't have much time for people who mistreat books or show a lack of respect for knowledge. So I don't imagine you'll have anything to worry about. You may not even see him, anyway - he has plenty of assistants who'll be happy to help you out, I'm sure. Feel free to ask them any questions. I don't spend much time here myself, I must admit, so I can't really give you much more information than that."
He looks up at the sky.
"But time is passing - Mortaar and I should head to the training grounds for the bullclash."
