(IC) The golden Jawa
This is the thread where you can make in character posts to represent down time and socializing with other characters without holding up the main thread. There's no specific time set for this thread and it's considered somewhat 'out of time'. It happens whenever it's convenient.

"So how's every one holding up?" Waryn would ask checking in on everyone. It had only been a short while since they arrived to a new planet and new that could be jarring for some. "Also so where is everyone from? I know most of us have done some brief talks, but I like to get to know the people I might die with."

Re: (IC) The golden Jawa
"It would be a cliche to say I was raised in every space port that my family's ship ever stopped in, so I'll say I was raised in Warren Clan Ship Lenn.  I didn't learn to speak all of these languages without a good bit of hopping around." Dara smiled, stretching out a bit.  "I remember all the jumping around used to bother me when I was younger, but now...it's almost boring if I get stuck somewhere for too too long."

Re: (IC) The golden Jawa
"Although I technically was born and raised in Urdorf City over Duro, my parents liked to joke that I was born in the shipyards and raised by droids.  Sure, I watched my fair share of holovids like the other kids, but many of the free moments I had were spent trying to be a better pilot, whether that meant learning how to maneuver through an asteroid field at high speeds or figuring out how to fix a damaged hyperdrive."  Leemy sighed, put his hands behind his head, and looked up.  "I never liked just to 'go with the flow' because 'the flow' was just too damn slow for my tastes. I wanted to get out there and make my own path among the stars that shined brightly in my window every night.  Heck, some nights, I spent so much time building or testing those starships that I just slept in the pilot's seat."

"Honestly, just the fact that I don't have to make any standard-issue Imperial deliveries, and instead have the freedom to go almost anywhere or do almost anything here, is keeping me from worrying too much about anything bad that this could result in."

"Heh, my childhood was a little different I'd say," he took a sip from the drink in front of him as he kicked back. Waryn looked as if he was debating on what to say, how to say or even say it at all. "I'm glad I'm in the Rebellion now."

Kell sat, cleaning his gun as he sipped his drink. Looking to the others for a bit, he gives a shrug, "I'm a clone... so, petri-dish!?" he states before talking a drag from his drink. "I dunno... some facility somewhere that I made sure was gone when I left. My childhood is literally nothing more than memories and imperial training..." he states before pulling up his gun to inspect it closer, "...and now, I use that training and those memories against those that meant to use me for nothing but enforcement." He states before lowering the rifle again to continue cleaning it.

Leaning againt the wall near the doorway, Grannos listens passively before eventually chiming in. "Grannos had a typical Gand upbringing..." He shifts his shoulders slightly. "...it wasn't until near adulthood that Mer lost connection to other Gands, and was compelled to set off alone." His hand absently brushes the blaster cannon leaning beside him.

Re: (IC) The golden Jawa
Dara cannot help but find a little relief in hearing the stories of her comrades.  For all that is abnormal about their upbringings to her, safe on the Warren-Clan ship and occasionally unsafe cavorting around spaceports like only a child can, it makes them all seem less like business associates and more like potential friends.

"Varied bunch, are we?  It seems like we've all got one thing in common, at least.  Staying in one place was never for us." Deciding to keep theme with the others, she inspects both her silver sporting blaster and proper blaster with its dull grey tint.  "It's good to work with the lot of you."

In reply to Dara Lenn (msg # 8):

"So why did all of you join the rebellion?" asked Waryn curious to their motivations.

"Honestly, I was just sick of a monotonous existence doing standard delivery jobs for the Empire.  I left home to make a name for myself, not to just be a delivery man.  I complained about my boredom to a few people in various taverns, and one of them got me started doing some simple delivery jobs for the Rebellion.  After some time spent earning trust and showing my piloting skills, I jumped at the chance to be a part of this 'Blue Haven' project."

Re: (IC) The golden Jawa
"Because I should have died, and Jibb did." Dara's smile twitches for just a moment, her tone not matching her expression.  "Stormtroopers started shooting civilians at an expo over Duros, and my brother took a few blaster bolts for me..."

She sighs and shakes her head. "I couldn't go back to my family after that.  Jibb was supposed to protect me.  I knew that.  But he wasn't supposed to die.  He was supposed to find a female.  Join her Warren-Clan.  Live a long life and have kids of his own..."

Re: (IC) The golden Jawa
His voice suddenly wispy, Grannos stares off into space "Grannos knows that only the Empire can provide what Grannos most desires." He shakes his head slowly, his voice hardening. "The irony is that the Empire's savage actions and bigotry force Grannos to draw close as an adversary, rather than an admirer."

Re: (IC) The golden Jawa
"I've been working with you guys for a little bit now, and I know my appearance may make you think the contrary but I appreciate honesty in my line of work," he said as he looked around the table. "Other then Kell, none of you know where I'm from, or who I really am." He sighed and took a breath as he continued, "I'm not from Nar Shadda that was all a Lie, I'm actually from Alderaan. I was actually a knight for one of the Royal House; before you ask, yes I was called Sir Waryn. The only reason I was spared was because I was in The Tampanni sector as a diplomatic Liaison when they used the death star."

Grannos goes still at the mention of the death star. "Ah yes...an instrument of unsurpassed beauty, used to create such an ugly tragedy. How I wish things would have been different..."
