Samantha is out to play.
Start the game here. Oh yeah, and just because I feel like insulting your intelligence by stating the obvious. Order and Chaos magic is hardly the only magic in the Multiverse. It's just the one you've encountered so far. Feel free to add whatever magic you want.

Also, the only magic that Samantha will do with her Chaos katana and Order hammer is healing, creating heat, light, darkness and cold. That's the only magic Samantha will do with them. So kindly remind me if I try to do more than that with them. Although I do plan to push those to their limits!!!!! She doesn't learn Bonus Strike until she runs into you in Paintball World.

Samantha is out to play.
OOC: my GM style is more of a narrator than 1st / 2nd person narrative.

I forget how she verses out of that world.

IC:

Samantha finds herself shifting through forms uncontrollably. She is a painting. Now a Lego piece. Now a powerful Ice Queen. Now a cracked gem stuck in a mirror. Now a moon overlooking a planet with the words, "Magehammer of Death" scrawled over a vast planetary desert.

Then she is floating in a vast void of neither light nor darkness. The void manifests as a soft navy blue light like an image coming into focus. She is weightless but in her familiar human form. Three voices from behind her say at once, "Greetings, Samantha." She slowly rotates until they are in view.

Two are women and the other is... masculine? She just knows that they are named Hawkica (f), Theophili (f), and Morphus (m). ((I can't remember, but if Samantha already has telepathy, there is another woman present, named Persona.))

Morphus looks like a gryphon. Theophili looks like an old woman in robes. Hawkica is wearing a three-piece pin-striped suit with a fob watch and monocle. Theophili says, "I seem to be doing this an awful lot lately."

Hawkica replies, "Indeed. You keep disturbing my plans, Theo."

"Not to worry, my dear. Your plans continue undisturbed in another plane of existence, or as Samantha would call it, another verse."

Hawkica turns to Samantha, "Now to why you are here. Beyond Theo's unknowable reasons," she scowls at the other woman, "there is a threat in our universe. You are the person we have chosen to tackle the problem. Our universe has a different form of magic than anything you will have come across as yet. It is called Magus. There are 6 fields of Magus, and we represent 3 (or 4) of those fields. We will each be lending you some of our power to aid your task and amplify your own different power. I will provide power to Order and Chaos. Morphus will assist your body morphing. Theo will... well I don't really know if she will even help at all. She's mysterious."

Theo laughs at Hawk's sarcastic remark.

Theo says, "Our home universe is collapsing. Our peoples have dispersed through Portals to various other universes. Many of those Portals are still active, and being used as tremendous sources of power by those in control of them. I'm afraid there isn't much else we are at liberty to discuss, but do you have any questions? We may be able to respond."

They await Samantha's response.

OOC) Probably a new experience for me.

OOC) After they escaped from Slider, she asked Magehammer to verse her out. So he shot her in the head. At her request, mind you. Then he stayed there alone for God knows how long. To be clear though, under normal circumstances, even possessed by the DOC, Slider would have been no match for him. But he was worn out from creating your "Date".

"You found a Multiverse hub. I've been to one of those. It's a place where different levels of the Multiverse come together. Universes collide. Travel back and forth between universes is very easy. Those are supposed to be pretty rare. But this is the second one I've been to."

Samantha is out to play.
OOC: Theo is one of a very few characters I use who frequently breaks the fourth wall.

IC:

Theo replies, "Hmm, that is an interesting concept. Anne Saxon in the hub was an interesting read. This is somewhat different. All of the Portals in our home universe were intentionally created. But that hardly matters right now. If you are in desperate need you might be able to reach us. I'll know you are looking for me if you look for me. Otherwise, you're on your own now. Good luck!"

Everything vanishes and is replaced by a busy market. There are people in all manner of dress, from nude to ballroom gowns, cowboy to victorian, leather loin cloth to space suit. Some are human, others are clearly not. Most humans appear to be of African descent. No one seems to have noticed her sudden appearance.

Some people are walking while others are flying. There are a few vehicles, but they are as varried as the people.

Samantha only now feels the familliar tugging 'this way' sensation for her items. There are also 3 other Scriff vectors. One is seemingly far above her and to the side. One is below and behind. The third is in front of her.

OOC) Well, if you're going to break the fourth wall.......

Samantha says back "Did you read Elayan in Verser World? She went much further into it."

OOC) Are you trying to run that verser world for me? The world populated by billions of versers? If so, I'd like to give you some technical aspects of it. You can use them or not. For one thing, as far as they can tell, the land mass is infinite in size. Apart from the regular hills, valleys and mountains you'd expect, it's completely flat. No curvature. Not a planet. Parts are desert, parts are jungle, parts are anything you can think of. And it just goes on forever in every direction. Imagine the resources of versers to be able to determine this. For the most part, the person feels comfortable regardless of who or where they are. Going into the desert can still be fatal for a fish species though. The atmosphere is comprised of a unique element that any living creature anywhere in the Multiverse would find as their perfect atmosphere. And it's breathable forever. They've flown up to insanely high altitudes. Still breathable. There's no sun. It just gets dark every eight hours and is light for 16. Nobody knows why. Resources of versers can't determine where the light comes from. During the dark cycle, there are stars in the sky. However, no matter how high they've flown, the stars never get any closer. It's like the perfect place for lots of versers to live.

Also, (And you're going to love this.) Feel free to use Magehammer. But only for me. Not for anyone else. I'd like to see what you think of him. How you'd play him.

Or you might not be running it at all.

IC) "Okay!!! I've been on my own since I was eight years old!!"

Check for scriff senses. Just the first thing a verser does. Look around. Have the Chaos katana at the ready. She's got that, a compound bow and arrows, and her survival pack, contents to be discussed.

Survival pack is a gym bag.

Before Samantha got the body morph skill, she dressed in jeans and tee shirts mostly. After she got that, she took to dressing in practical skirts and button blouses. Easy to modify to fit her at any size. Roll up the sleeves and the skirt and put extra buttons on the blouse so it can be closed smaller. Wears sweatpants or the like underneath it. Again, fits at any size. Often wears cardigan sweaters. Tends to wear combat boots.

So since she just got the skill, she's probably still in jeans and a tee shirt.

Nope. Totally different. Remember, other than her items, there are only 3 other Scriff vectors. Hub World would have Scriff vectors all over the place. I appreciate the info, though.

Okay, thank you! I don't have a part for him to play yet, but I'll keep that in mind.

It's all there. Do you want to list it in your description for me? Also the skills she would have.

There are a number of people dressed similarly. Mostly younger looking people in their childhood to teen years. There are plenty of clothing shops in addition to any other shop imaginable. Even so, most shops look more like art galleries than regular stores.

Having observed the scenery for a few moments, Samanta also picks up on the fact that there are a number of non-organic people such as robots and drones etc.

OOC) Elayan was my favorite player of all time.

IC) Samantha says "What was that? Sounded like a voice from nowhere."

She's referring to the OOC comment.

OOC) I'd love to run through it.

Are they verser senses or equipment senses?

OOC) We should probably do that over private message. Send me a message with what you want to know.

OOC) I don't know if you are trying to use biases at all. I wouldn't be concerned either way. But I wanted to tell you that Samantha's body morph skill is what you would call a low bias tolerant skill. As far as the biases are concerned, it's easier than walking or running. (Honestly, I can't remember if it's walking or running (different biases) and don't feel like looking it up.) That is, once you have it. Getting it in the first place is the part that might be biased out.

I remember the bias rule now. Didn't have to look it up. As far as the biases are concerned, her body morph skill is as easy as standing upright. Because, really, standing upright is all your body is doing when you do it most of the time.

I get it now. The biases make more sense all of a sudden. There are worlds where you can walk but you can't run. Other worlds where all you can do is things like stand upright and lay down. If you're standing upright, you can do most martial arts. Although you might not be able to walk away when it's over.

I didn't realize there was a significant difference. They don't belong to her. They have Scriff in them. More info might be spoilers. But they aren't moving significantly. So far they seem to be relatively stationary.

In this world, indigs couldn't get or use Order or Chaos magic unless they had an Order or Chaos magical item. Even then, they'd never become mages or Order or Chaos. Mostly this world is biased like our RL world, but with Yahweh magic being easier, and Magus (this world's magic) existing.

This area is definitely near the center of a busy futuristic mega-city. Samantha notices that everyone is able to communicate regularly regardless of their appearance. Although she never witnesses money exchange hands, people walk into stores empty handed and leave with items while the store attendants never seem to argue with this. Mostly people browse the items and only choose one or two.

There are many entertainment venues. Some are very reminiscent of movie theaters, and others of arcades. There are various sex-stores and bars and other such things. Miraculously Samantha can read the signs ((mostly for simplicity)). There are bars, hotels, casinos, clubs, theaters, art galleries and more.

No one is assaulting anyone else - even the nude people are being left alone. A few people seem to be carrying weapons, but no one seems the slightest bit nervous about this.

OOC: More can be written if you need more.

Samantha is out to play.
((Just to move things along a little bit, and because... DOING THERAPY!))

Samantha notices one particular store due to the animated images of people moving around and changing shape while wearing these items of clothing. The attendant catches her eye, and invites her over. The attendant is a short big headed beak-faced frog-like creature wearing a tuxedo. He gestures to his wares. There are dresses, parkas, jeans, kilts, and more.

He says, "Greetings, traveler! I have the most useful clothing for you to peruse. Shall I show them off to you?" Without waiting for a response, he flourishes his hand and morphs into an anthropomorphic horseman. The tuxedo bends and stretches to accommodate his new shape.

Moving his eyes up and down her body, he says, "The indigs won't even know it's special!"
With this he flourishes again, and his tuxedo becomes a kilt and loose shirt. He then shrinks to the size of a housecat, and the kilt and shirt appear to remain the same, shifting only slightly and imperceptibly. "Whatdaya think, friend?"
