Chapter III: Escaping Kau'dan City
Zirak does not appear to be at all enthused by this suggestion, but is spared from responding as the turbolift door opens a moment later, and they find themselves looking out into a large alcove carved into the side of the sinkhole, and lined with a series of green, mossy plants which cascade down the side of the rocky walls on either side. In the middle of the alcove, a dozen or so meters from the turbolift, a group of humans have come to a halt, with a group of Pau'an warriors beside them. The group of humans numbers eight in total, and appear to be comprised of muscular soldiers, dressed in matching heavy battle armor and armed with heavy blaster rifles. All wear helmets, except what they take to be the captain of the group, a grizzled veteran, armed with a light repeating blaster. All of their armor bears the colors and insignia of the Republic, and the dents and marks on their armor suggest they are seasoned warriors. At odds from these troopers is the woman who leads the procession, a slim, young woman in a Republic officer's tunic and garb, a blaster pistol holstered at her side.
