Merry Christmas everyone :-)  It's been a tough year, but we are slowly starting to adjust to our life as it is now.  I am eager to resume this campaign, and deeply touched that so many of you are still here for it.  I'm not sure yet how often I'll be able to post, but the only way to know is to try, right?  You'll hear from me soon and we can discuss where we left off and hopefully get things moving again fairly quickly, but with time enough for us all to get back in touch with the setting, situation and characters.

Meanwhile, may you and all your loved ones have a  Blessed Yuletide and a Peaceful and Jubilant New Year :-)

Greetings everyone.  I said I'd be n touch in the new year so here I am.  I've been rereading some of the old posts and I'm still amazed at the quality of role playing we had.  I'd like to pick up again in the Eryn Lasgalen or "Forest of Green Leaves" formerly known ( and sometimes still referred to) as Mirkwood.  You were in a hard fight with a pack of Wood trolls and things were slowly starting to turn in your favour.  I suggest we begin following said battle, assuming you were wounded but victorious.

My First group: You were in the Realm of the Wood-elves investigating the rumour that a lost dwarf colony might yet exist in the forest.   You had received permission to explore the "Mountains of Mirkwood" by the Wood-elf King  Thranduil, which was no small feat.  You were still being pursued by the Stone guard of Erebor on the orders and of the King Under the Mountain, Thorin III Stonehelm.

My Second group: You were in the Iron Mountains, having investigated a wolf attack that lead you to the strange monastery of healers high in the mountains.  You were drugged and attacked by these monks and their Abbess who turned out to be some sort of Sauronic Cult!  You had just finished the fight and were fleeing through the secret tunnel; the rest of the Cultists were battering down the hastily barricaded door!

Now, let's start off with a roll call.  Let me look and see who's responded to the call to continue your quest for Moria

Okay wow, you certainly know how to make an old man happy.  Not sure what I did to deserve such an extraordinary band of loyal players, but I am certainly grateful for the gift.  Cymon, good luck on your move.  I know they are never easy or fun, but certainly change can be a positive thing.  Let us know when you're back online.

I'll have a post by tomorrow at the latest. I'm eager to continue, especially now I see you are, quite possibly, even more enthusiastic than me. Taking things slow, for now, while I try and remember how to RPOL 😝.   Onward to the Mountains of Moria (the Emyn nu Fuin) and through the tunnel in the Iron Mountains (Emyn Engrin)!
