Re: OOC Chat

Welcome back, Evia, I'm very glad the install wasn't as difficult as predicted and sorry that it took so long for them to find out.

Thrilled to have you back, you were missed my friend.  Evia is recovering from her fight with the archers.  She's had a full night sleep, and is under the care of a skilled dwarvish healer, so she should feel much better.  We'll can discuss the details elsewhere :D

Thrir son of Thrur:
"Are  you sure this sword be dwarven made?" Thrir asks

Also LOL Thrir, that was priceless :)

Re: OOC Chat

Thanks for reminding me Thrir, I need to answer Ymir, he's identifying the magical items for you, with Oli's help.  Oh and Bosi needs to take his share, he'd never forget to complete a deal.

Btw don't forget to update your character sheet if you've gone up a level.  Its important to reflect any changes so your friendly DM and you can see the up to date information at need.

Re: OOC Chat

Please do Ymir.  I agree RL does suck sometimes.  Very glad to see you back my friend, we'd never leave you behind :D  I'll look forward to your post.

That reminds me.  Everyone please do your best to interact with one another.  I meant what I said, you'll need to work together to get to Moria, let alone achieve anything more.  For that you'll need camaraderie as much as anything else, which comes from knowing one another, your individual talents and strengths, as well as having each other's back when it counts.

Not to mention which it does make my job a bit simpler if people share their experiences, rather than everyone going off and doing their own thing.  I know it happens now and again, and that's fine, I expect that, but all the time gets to be challenging, not to mention confusing.  Be invested in what's going on, you'll find there are a lot of things going on in the background too.  Everyone has a secret, and some have more than one.

I know our posting schedules make that hard to do sometimes, but that's Rpol unfortunately and we have to make the best of that.  We'll be embarking for Mirkwood as soon as our various conversations and other business conclude.  As always thanks guys for making this a game I look forward to every day :)

Re: OOC Chat

Hi everyone :-). May I just say Daylight Savings Time needs to go down like a flaming Balrog LOL!

Thank you EVERYONE for working together more, I really appreciate it.  I know how hard it can be on RPOL, especially with such varied schedules as we all have.  It's making a difference I think to help keep up our momentum and move things along story wise :-)

Once we've finished with the current scenarios we should be ready to take off to Mirkwood; may Aulë have mercy on us all :-D

I have reached out to Noin once more, since it's been over a month from his last message to me.  I'll let you all know when I hear news from him.

I wish everyone a wonderful day :-).

Re: OOC Chat

A quick question for Thrir and Evia.  Did Thrir accompany Evia to the grave site to bury Embla?

Re: OOC Chat

If he sees her going outside alone he would have followed her to ensure her safety. After all the bandits have already proven not to be men of their words having killed their previous employers and presumably retaining any retainer fee already paid for their services. Thus there is no guarantee they aren't out there waiting for opportunity.

Re: OOC Chat

For anyone who celebrates it, Happy Easter, and for those who do not a belated Ostara/Equinox.  Its about time to leave Bar Awarth and venture once more into the unknown.  Let me know if there are any last preparations you make for your journey.  I will be posting shortly.

Sadly I have still not heard anything from Noin since his last Rmail, but I remain hopeful and will bring him along as an NPC for the time being.  So far it would seem that the groups are as follows:

Going to Aglarond/Glittering Caves in Rohan

Dwain
Bosi
Nós
Bofri
Nali and Rali

Going to Emyn-nu-Fuin/Emyn Duir/Mountains of Mirkwood

Noin
Evia
Kronin and Dwór
Óli
Thrir

Ymir undecided or at least uncommitted so far.

Any questions, comments, or concerns before we start out, just let me know :)

Re: OOC Chat

It occurs to me we should probably have one member of the party keep track of whatever loot/treasure/valuables you have acquired.  You might also wish for someone to keep track of the groups supplies as well.  Let me know if you agree and/or who you think should do the honours.

So far you've now journeyed two weeks and your supplies, or lack thereof, should reflect this :)

Re: OOC Chat

Looking forward to it Kronin.  There is a new thread up for your company's journey :)

Evia, so far as I am aware the only things that are "party treasure" so far are:

1)Any items taken from Algar and Dunstan that were NOT claimed by party members or NPCs.

2)The items found in Embla's chest (though at least one person has expressed interest in the crystal with the flower embedded, but no one has claimed it).

If I'm wrong, please let me know.

What no one trusts Thrir to keep the party treasure, afraid he might forget what's his and what's the parties :)

Just kidding....I probably wouldn't turst a thief to hold the party treasure either :), if I wasn't the thief....

Re: OOC Chat

Sorry for the amount of exposition, but I wanted to move things along.  Also apologize for the busy week, I'll try to get back to at least two posts per week.

Lastly, Noin answered my R mail at last and it would seem that real life has become a bit too busy for him to continue with the game.  I hope at some point that he may return, but in the meantime I need to decide how I am going to deal with his character and whether or not I should try to find another player for our game.

Thank you as always for your posts and your faith.  Thrir you may very well have enough pips to increase your charisma soon :)

Re: OOC Chat

Always happy to see this game update, and while it's a shame about Noin, it's a testament to his player that he still reached out to confirm his situation.

I would be in favor of keeping him an NPC unless you already have an outstanding player in mind.

Re: OOC Chat

Update in the morning everyone.  Twelve hour days and overtime on the weekends are kicking my behind.  I truly appreciate your patience, I'm eager to get to the next morning.  Evia has expressed interest in seeing Old Scaela and Kronin has decided to talk with Nendiel the Raft-elf.  Its up to the others if they go with either one, but I promise to make those meetings brief and to the point..

I think, unless anyone has objections, I will advertise for a new Noin to join our merry band.

Goodnight my friends.  See you in the morning :)
