Sorry everyone.  Update tomorrow.  How is everyone enjoying things so far?  Hopefully  you're having fun, but if not I'd like to know that too.   I am going to try and post a bit more, just ten and eleven hour days are wearing me out.  I'm sure things will slow down eventually.  We should have a reunion real soon,

Hi, Just an update. The expected install on the 1st did not happen and we have now descended in the black abyss of inspections not being signed off so they have to be rescheduled for the 13th and the actual install is who knows. So sorry hopefully we will be up and running gain in a week or so.

Yes Thrir, you receive experience for "DEFEATING" a foe, that includes outwitting them.  They weren't exactly bandits, more mercenaries, and what's more important to a mercenary than money?

Likewise Kronin will receive XP for finding a way to defuse the tension between his party and the Man-Swarm they encountered.  I will ALWAYS reward intelligent players, especially if they find away around my clever plans :)

I do know Evia is offline right now, the player is keeping in contact so we know what's going on.

As for Noin, well I'm not sure we've lost Noin just yet.  He or she, works in a production environment, which I understand entirely too well.  Long hours and little leisure time can really limit your posting, as it sometimes does for me.  Having said that Noin's last post was on the seventeenth of January, so its been more than a couple weeks now.  I will try to reach out to the player and see if I can get an update.  Hopefully its just real life getting in the way.

Update either tonight or tomorrow.  I want to wrap up the Bar Awarth thread and get Kronin and company reunited with the rest of the group.  Kronin, however, and Noin if he's still with us, has a choice to make first I think...

Good news my friends, I've heard from Noin.  He's been under the weather, as they used to say, but he's still with us :-).   He assures us that he should be back soon and is eager to continue our, ahem, noble quest.

Okay, we are about through Chapter 2, Escaping Erebor.  Later this week I will be giving out more experience for everyone.  Very well done, you've avoided some potentially troublesome situations, though not without consequences as you will see.

I do hope everyone had a good weekend :) Here's hoping both Evia and Noin can rejoin us soon.

I would say we have completed Chapter Two.  In Chapter Three a very important decision awaits.  As you are all together, please feel free to talk amongst yourselves, or to the various NPCs if you wish.  Remember I did say you'll need to work together.

If I have time tomorrow I will give out experience privately as before, otherwise I will do so Saturday.

Evia is sleeping as she heals, Noin is present, but currently is lost in his own thoughts, or meditating perhaps, at least until both players can return and post, hopefully soon.

Thrir can make an Appraise check to see if he can figure out what qualities, if any, the Items of Quality have.

Ymir can make an Identify check to figure out the specifics of the Magic Items.  A separate check for each item I have indicated.

Well I am back... the install happened two days early, but two weeks late if that makes sense. In the end a install that was suppose to be difficult, so much so that it was passed around between three different installers took only a couple of hours.

Welcome back, Evia, I'm very glad the install wasn't as difficult as predicted and sorry that it took so long for them to find out.

Thrilled to have you back, you were missed my friend.  Evia is recovering from her fight with the archers.  She's had a full night sleep, and is under the care of a skilled dwarvish healer, so she should feel much better.  We'll can discuss the details elsewhere :D

Thanks for reminding me Thrir, I need to answer Ymir, he's identifying the magical items for you, with Oli's help.  Oh and Bosi needs to take his share, he'd never forget to complete a deal.

Btw don't forget to update your character sheet if you've gone up a level.  Its important to reflect any changes so your friendly DM and you can see the up to date information at need.
