Re: OOC Room
I'll throw this out there now, a prequel mission is going to be started, for the sake of getting into the swing of things, after I get back from work today. Hopefully we'll get a few more RTJ's in by then, but if not, I think we've got a pretty good group to at least set things in motion.

Off to work now, but I'll be around and can generally post short responses to any questions there may be.

Re: OOC Room
Howdy everyone. I am looking forward to playing with you. While I am looking forward to getting to know everyone I would like to invite my sister to speak with me about who we are and our relationship. It is possible that we rarely spoke before our corro and know in character about as much as we do out of character at the moment. Part of me assumes some basic knowledge about each other and potentially a relationship of some sort. We shared a parent. We both lost said parent and many of our people. I am not trying to push you on anything, but I thought I would float the invitation to discuss these things. We can just let it unfold along with the story if you want. It might be possible that I did not even know you existed until that day.

Ha, shows how good I am at paying attention, I didn't even realize my brother had been cast yet!  I'm out right now, but I'll shoot you a pm once I'm back home -- typing on the phone doesn't lend itself to in-depth planning

Re: OOC Room
So, how is everyone else? Was there anything else we wanted to discuss before we got started on the prequel?

Re: OOC Room
I lived on the land, so never met either of you. Just an orphaned Mechanic. Might meet you guys in the prequel.

I am curious about when the actual game starts. Like how long has it been since the crash?

And land bound Armature pilots who want to make history, all for this idea

Re: OOC Room
The actual game will start about six months after the Fall of Paradise. The nation of Ivax will just start making forays into Fania, and we'll go from the point that information reaches the Fanian capital.

That was the idea anyway.

Re: OOC Room
Well, I'm back from work as well. I'll be starting up the Prequel mission in a little while, once I've answered a few questions and typed up the opening. Until then, enjoy discussing things and such.

Re: OOC Room
Just waiting on Kira for you, Frey. Although I do like how you're left wondering how you ended up in a cockpit instead of as an engineer. And its pretty simple.

You happen to be relatively good at it, and they needed the pilots.

Re: OOC Room
I don't mind waiting, it's something that's bound to happen in PbP games :P.

As for becoming a pilot, even if she has the aptitude for it, Frey was clearly in a more comfortable position simply doing maintenance and adjustments. Of course, she'll simply have to adapt to her new role as time goes by.

Re: OOC Room
So, how often did the Prince and Princess interact with peasants? Atlas visited Paradise a lot, but he is an orphan. Would he ever meet them?

Re: OOC Room
Since when did a military force ever care about what makes a person "comfortable"?

To quote a phrase I've heard: Beatings will continue until morale improves.

Re: OOC Room
I totally do not mean to sound like a dick when I say this, but chances are slim that me and Atlas would have met in any meaningful way. Generally speaking an orphan would not be in much of a position to meet him except seeing him at a parade or while he is visiting a site for some reason or another. Learning about factories and the like. Even if you did meet him chances are slim you would have been allowed to speak to him without good reason. This is not him looking down on you but the fact that the various people who exist to make their lives run smoothly would likely not have allowed it. Personal guards would not let you close enough and the equivalent of personal assistants would likely of given you the "The Prince is a busy man. If you need an audience you have to go through channels." line. There are extraordinary cases in all things though. If we want them to have met it is possible they have. Perhaps he was feeling overly generous one day and saw the guards stopping you or he had a day of meeting his future subjects and you were one of the ones who got to shake his hand.

No, it is fine. I am not even slightly insulted. It is what I expected. Just asking. Good luck, Sir. Hope we can meet later!
