Re: OOC Chat

I dunno, I think four is the perfect number. What do you folks reckon? One of Jonathan's school friends is also in London for the summer after all...

Re: OOC Chat

Jonathan doesn't see much sense in moving to the townhouse for one night. He does send word to the staff that he has arrived, but will be out of town for a few days, maybe a week.

Re: OOC Chat

Yes. Jonathan will read the journal during the evening and during the journey. Does he finish it?

Hello, everyone! I'll be picking up the character of Kit.

And I'd like to make that a 2-point credit rating spend. :-)

Re: OOC Chat

I'm going to say that Jonathan finished reading the journal last night and gave it to Father Alden to read on the first leg of the journey. It then went to George around noon and to Kit in the early evening.

Jonathan asked that there be no discussion until everyone had read it and they got settled at Blenheim House.

Would a Preparedness check help vis-a-vis the padlock on the gate?

In theory, DC would depend on what you want to have with you.

Re: OOC Chat

Something to open a lock with. This is where this system's skill system is a bit wonky--I don't know what I'd use for lockpicking off of the top of my head, except Locksmithing, which is an Investigative ability.

I'd say some kind of skeleton key or some hairpin or such big enough to pick the lock.

Re: OOC Chat

OK, a skeleton key is concievably something a louche young man such as yourself might carry. And the fact you have the Lockpicking skill makes it much more likely. So make a Preparedness roll target 3. Remember you can spend points on this roll, might be worth it since once you have it, you have it!

Re: OOC Chat

Okay, just a head's up about this week:

I am going on a trip with my wife and two oldest kids this coming Thursday-Friday and weekend, which means:

a. posting will be less frequent this week due to having to scramble at work to advance things to where they need to be so I can leave in peace--for this game, that means maybe once per day at most.

b. I'll be pretty much offline Thursday-Sunday.

Re: OOC Chat

All four of you have met up in a small brick-lined corridor leading from one part of the cellar to another. You were looking for Father Alden and he was looking for you.
