The project I have been working on for 9 months is implementing from this coming Thursday to next Sunday.  And there are bound to be clean up and issues afterwards.

So starting Thursday, for a week, I may be pretty sparse for posting- all depends on how the implementation goes.

I intend to try and get on and at least squeeze one in, but just in case, feel free to have Father Alden fall asleep on the train :)

My Nan's sister passed away on Saturday and I must settle her estate.

My apologies for falling off the face of the earth.  Long story short the combination of work travel, construction project, and our children being home from college has gobbled up all my time.  If the GM hasn't already kicked me out of the game,  I am going to withdraw from all the games I am in and shut down all of the games I am running save one; because this won't get better until the fall.

FYI: My father fell off his roof on Saturday morning. He was very, very fortunate—he has only broken bones and a relatively mild bruise on his brain to show for it. However, he is still in surgical ICU in case the slight bleeding in his brain does not stop and his recovery will be slow—among the broken bones were his collar bone, his clavicle and several ribs, all of which heal slowly and painfully.

My wife, kids and I will be visiting him and helping my mother throughout the week, so I will have limited availability at points.  I still expect to be able to do an update a day, though, barring any bad turns.

DO NOT NPC me though. Just send me a PM if I'm holding something up and I'll post.

Here's a heads up. I am preparing for my annual trip to Columbus, Ohio for the Origins Game Fair. I'll be away from Tuesday 6/10 through Sunday 6/15 with little opportunity to get on line. Between now and then, I'm polishing up and printing off all the materials for the Call of Cthulhu games I'll be running.

I'm at home taking care of my sick cat, he caught a cold and one nose is obstructed, so he can't breath properly. I didn't know cats don't know how to breath through the mouth and they don't eat because they don't feel the smell of the food. So, it's like to take care of a baby, I imagine, because babies can't talk and tell what is happening, where is hurting...

By way of head's up--I am on the road (driving someplace and meeting with folks) tomorrow, so I may or not have time to post. If you hear nothing, then this is your forewarning.

Update from me at the weekend.

Hopefully getting better. However, just to screw me over, it seems I'm catching a cold, combined with a bad stomach :D Feels lousy, but at least it is posssible to handle, compared to the God awfull migraines I use to have :D

I'm in a kind opposite situation but feeling bad as well. I live in Rio de Janeiro and it's been so hot in here that I have constant headaches or just have to lay down because I feel very tired.

Temperature is not so high (for us, around 30 to 35 Celsius degrees), but the thermal sensation is around 50 during the day (122 Fahrenheit). Yesterday, at 8:30 am, temperature was 32, sensation was 40. At 9 am I was in bed feeling bad...

Yikes! Feeling grateful I'm not a mess right now.

It's still hot. We had a storm last night but just to make a mess around the house, when we finished cleaning it was almost midnight.

9 am, 30 Celsius degrees, thermal sensation at 35. Fortunately I have to go out quickly this morning then I can stay the rest of the day inside with air conditioning. I think I'd prefer cold because you have more options of what to do to get warm than to get cold when it's hot. There's not much to do but turn on the air conditioning and stay inside... :-)

Well, that's more or less how I have it each year when we go to Spain. 30-40 degreees. First week I lie down in the house with migraine, 2nd week trying to recover, and tries to go back in as soon as there is a chance :)

It seems this year all I did was saying "I'm sorry". Unfortunately here's another one. :-(

I don't want to go through personal details, but since I came back from Papua last November it's like almost everything that could go wrong, went wrong. I say almost everything because I have to look at the positive side, I'm in good health. And I have to be to endure everything that I'm going through now.

From health problems with my mother to legal problems (at the moment I'm dealing with 3 lawyers), it's not that I don't have time, it's just my mind can't concentrate in anything else than solve the problems I'm having now.

Sometimes I just would like to be as an ostrich, to put my head in the sand and let the bad things just pass through me.

What I can say to you now is: I'm really want to continue playing this game. But I don't know when I can do this because I have to "calm" my mind. I hope next week (which is Carnival in Brazil) I can come back, because it's holiday, no one will do anything so it will be a good opportunity for me to relax a bit and enjoy myself.

And FYI, I tried early this week to enter RPoL and couldn't. Tried again yesterday and my computer wasn't working. It's just for you to see the "hits keep coming"...
