The newcomers rush up the stairs, then into a room. A door slams. The muffled shouting is now even more muffled...

"So...", Jonathan whispers.

"keeping quiet it is..."

Jonathan sits down, thinking for himself... There is probably a search party leaving soon. No dogs has been heard, so there is a big chance the group might be safe for a bit longer.

Re: Saturday August 8th, 12:30am

The talking gets louder, you can hear one voice raised in fear and pleading... then the sound of a gunshot.

A few moments later you hear someone outside on the landing, a local by the accent.

"We know you're here, your Lordship. I'll go easy on your friends if you just give up now"

Obviously awaited. Obviously rough people.

Obviously not a good idea to actually give in. Jonathan stands still, trusting George being able to handle the situation.

After a short but stressful delay, you hear movement again. From what you can hear, several groups are searching the house room by room. You hear them move to the room next to you and open the door...

Re: Saturday August 8th, 12:30am

Jonathan feels the tension in his body. He slowly kneels down with one of his legs, sitting low. Giving George free sight for the gun, and ready to explode and making a dive to the knees on whoever tries to open the door. He awaits the signal. The signal being George's gun shooting.

Re: Saturday August 8th, 12:30am

The door is opened swiftly, revealing two figures silhouetted on the landing. Both are clearly armed, the one in front with a pistol, the figure behind holding a shotgun. They will register your presence in less than a second, but that is plenty of time to pull a trigger...

You folks get to act first. Rolls (with spends) please.

Re: Saturday August 8th, 12:30am

Two gunshots ring out, shockingly loud in the small room. George's bullet hits the shotgun-wielder square in the chest, and the man falls backwards without a sound. Then Jonathan barrels into his falling body pushing it onto the man behind. All three fall to the ground in a heap, the man on the bottom cursing in anger.

Next round, apols for the delay!

George steps up and aims his gun right at the man's head. "Stay right there or you're a dead man."

If needs be, he will kill the man, but he hopes the fellow listens to reason.

Re: Saturday August 8th, 12:30am

The man stays down and as you see him clearly you recognise the police sergeant, Luna. At the same time you hear a commotion at the front door, shouts of anger, and suddenly an overpowering fishy small wafts up from below.

Jonathan, I assume you are standing in the door of the room. Two steps out on to the landing you will see what is in the entrance hall below.

Kit nods and, assuming Luna does as he's told, Kit holds his gun tightly and moves out to peek at whoever is coming inside...
