By Decree of Burgermeister Miesterburger: House Rules
House Rules: Just a start..,
Aces, Deuces, One-Eyed Jack, King with sword behind his back..,

Character Creation.

1) Use the Stat Generation system of your preference: Point Buy; Array; F’ing  Hardcore(F’ingH)- roll 3d6, write then down in order, Str,Int, Wis, Dex, Con, Cha, one time only; or Blessing From Afar(BFA) roll 4d6, reroll 1’s, take only the highest three die, place your scores where you want. If you don’t like the first set, keep rolling more sets until you get one you want to use.
*Point of note, parties composed of both Team F’ingH and Team BFA players do not usually mix well. Throwing more booze into the mix Is Not a remedy.

2) Tieflings are a Nonplayer Character Race only at this time.

3) Base Movement: All Player Character Races have a base move speed of 30. The limitation of the smaller races to 25 has never added any benefit or wonderment to any game I have previously played in and the justification of short legs is bullshit. Have you seen how fast a tiny winged humming bird or bumblebee can fly? Short legs they just move more times faster in the same amount of distance as longer legs moving slower do.  Plus it makes all other calculations in movement to work out when I have been drinking.

3) Attacks of Opportunity: Not in this game. They have never added any real benefit or wonderment to the overall game that I have previously played in before. Besides, it’s a PITA to keep track of them when I am sober, I don’t need them mucking up the game works when I have been drinking.

Re: By Decree of Burgermeister Miesterburger: House Rules
The Temple of Elemental Evil Player's Companion .pdf is available for free at DriveThruRPG. It has new races and additional spells of the elemental variety.

The new races are currently NPC races only in Venture Quest. This is subject to possible change in the future as our gaming group gets some 5e experience under our belts.

The spells are available with the caveat of choosing two of the 4 elements. A native islander might have water and fire, representing the ocean and volcanoes, where as a character from the desert might have fire and air, a character from the cold north might have air and ice, etc.,

Posting Format
The, "styled text," box in the lower left hand corner of the input screen lets you choose what color your posts will display as when other players read them in the game threads.

Please pick a color for your character to use when they are talking. If we end up with more players  than available colors, then we will have some color sharing. No big deal. I try to keep all NPC characters on the same color. Orange is reserved for posting actions. Red is usually reserved for posting results from the die roller.

The bottom side of the input screen has other options for your text. Please italicize your character's thoughts, if you share them, so that we don't confuse them with spoken dialogue.
I understand that it takes a bit o' practice to get used to dropping the color tag in to the  Italics bracket. But I believe the effect is worth it. After all, it is a bit of telepathy/mind reading granted into the game for narrative purposes, storytelling. It deserves to be a bit special.

Putting it altogether might look something like this.

Wartvesicle drops both his holy symbol and his waraxe to the ground so that he can ready his two-handed maul of fantabulouse thrashing.

For all the shitty things I could have done today, but didn't do, please let me bust his skull.

Swings the club like an olympic games hammer over his head and brings it down in a mighty arc upon the shell of the Vorpalic Blue Crab.

18:02, Today: Dungeon Master Philostrate rolled 27 using 1d20+8.
18:03, Today: Dungeon Master Philostrate rolled 10 using 3d6+4. Damage to Crab.

Shouts over his shoulder.Get the fire started! We are eating good today!

Pre-Adventure Homework
Please fill out your character sheet to the best of your ability. Contact me if you have any questions. It is a generic sheet so a lot of the blanks might not pertain to your character class/race. Feel free to delete out any of those areas if you want. Also if you want to, send me your character on the WOTC standard .pdf and I'll drop your info onto your page and then it should be good accept for level updates.

Please be sure as well to pic a picture for your character.
Put in a couple of short statements in the Bio lines.
Fill out your characters description,

And last but not least, please go into the the, "Not Me Guvenyor," and type a short description of you character, use as much of the same material as you want from your Description Box. Remember, the main gist of the description in the "Not Me Guvenyour," thread is supposed to be what another character would see if they were looking at you across the room of the Inn, without knowing anything about you in advance and having not spoken to you yet.

Cheers!
