Re: OOC 2

To let all know what is going on. Real Life just threw me a curve ball and started dealing from the bottom of the deck. My mother is in the hospital and will be going into heart surgery Tues at 12 noon CST. So, if worse case scenero happens, I may not be back for a few days or longer but I will try to keep you updated...depending on how I feel. I am sure she will be fine and all will be ok but still....that is my mommy there.

Things went well. She had balloon stints installed in her artery to remove blockage and open it back up. She is out of the hospital and doing well.

Re: OOC 2

Good to hear. Its almost amazing what they can do with heart procedures. A friend had quad bipass and was out of the hospital in a week, and back at the gym in 4 weeks on the treadmill, normal activity in 8 weeks. :)

I hope her recovery is full and speedy.

Re: OOC 2

My apologies all.  Real life also threw me a curve ball and this is the first day I've had anywhere close to some downtime to address things like Rpol and the fact that I haven't been around.

My computer ended up glitching out and fried my motherboard.  I was in the hospital as well due to some throat and lung issues I am having that they cannot seem to track down at the moment as to their cause.  I am stable now but will be having further tests.

The next few days I have to work on getting some priority material finished for work but I am aim to get caught up here on Tuesday.  I'll see what Marissa has done in my absence and either work it in or leave her in control if that is your own desires given my absences.

I'll be back on tuesday to get the ball rolling or whatever the decision is.

Your health comes first, my friend. Marissa has things undercontrol here. As Raiel said, we be here when you get back. I am in the process of looking for a new job. Due to lack of daycare, I had to quit my previous job. Single parenthood sucks ass at times.

Just to give you a heads up, posting on the weekends will be limited for me but I am as you may have noted back on a fairly steady basis so I will be moving the plot forward shortly and plan to get us ramped back up in posting to move the game along.

The plot awaits... :P

Sorry to hear that Taren. Not a great economy to be job hunting in. I do know that what retailers are hireing for season are finishing up their hireing. usually only part time unfortunately.

Is there a particular field and area you are looking in?

Ouch!  I feel for you.  Good luck in finding work.  We'll keep you active in the game if you disappear, no worries there.

Re: OOC 2

well, I would still have my job if I did not loose the only baby sitter I can get. But, what posed as my sister decided she did not want to help family anymore and quit watching my children therefore forcing me to quit my job as I had no sitter for my kids and there were no daycare for the times I was working. I would change hours but the supervisor already took the only hours I could work and still have day care. So, the only one that could help me in turn screwed me over big time so here I am....jobless and searching.

Re: OOC 2

I've been toying with a second story-line for some time now either as a sequel to this game or concurrent with it.  Would there be interest?

Also, considering the idea of possibly allowing one or two new players in to get some fresh cannon-fodd er... fresh mea... err ahh fresh blood into the mix.  Thoughts?

Though I can just as easily keep it going with the six of us as integrating new players can at times be a pain in the ass.  As I am around a bit more regularly though, the creative process is kicking into gear with ideas.

Are you interested in a second story-line either concurrent to this one with new characters or as a sequel of sorts to this one?

Re: OOC 2

Adding on or losing characters along the way I have not problem with, as in reality it is what happens in any sort of group--there is a core and those who are temporary.

I really love what has been going on and who knows Asurii might even get Raiel to ride a horse at some point.  I can't see the being Daughter Heirs and walking about when everyone else is riding.  HEHEHEHE

Re: OOC 2

So no interest in a second game.  The concurrent storyline would have everyone starting at 1st level.  Though I will state right now that both games are likely to limit or disallow wielders of the One Power as I am looking to make this a grittier and more localized arc.

One of the arcs being considered is to be set in a city, likely Tanchico which is the arc I seem to be most favoring.  It will be heavy on the RP.  The other arc is set among the Isle of the Sea Folk and it will focus on exploration.

Re: OOC 2

I would be interested in another game to run concurrently or whatever.  I love the WHeel of Time World.  I would like to be Aes Sedai or WIse One or WIlder.  That would be cool too.

A second game would be cool. I also like a subplot to this game if you are interested. I prefer the mainland. Not big on exploring. Not a big fan of the sea folk *grins*. Mainly cause I am not a big fan of Ocean adventures. Kinda scared of the ocean irl.

Most of my players at one point or another learn the virtues of having decent skill in swimming, climbing and jumping in any games I run.
