Re: OOC 2

Nod...I'm way out of practice in real life but I tend to make sure unless I have a specific character concept counter to the idea that all my characters have at least rudimentary skill in swimming.  Though Addaru barely knows how.

Those underground lakes tend to be hazardous in most standard DnD games.  :D

Re: OOC 2

irl i swim like a fish, lived  two blocks from Venice beach in CA, My father ws a life guard and life guard instructor, I could swim better than I could walk when I was real young.  Anyway  Aiel don't swim but usually may character have some swimming skill above ability but mostly in climb,. and jump.

Who is GA that needs to make a spot check?

Re: OOC 2

I think I mentioned this before but just in case, postings on the weekends are going to be rare for me.  I will probably be on Rpol at least once during a weekend (that being 4pm Fridays through to Monday afternoons MST) but most of my posting will occur during the weekdays be it as Addaru or as a GM.

Re: OOC 2

For the record there is a surprise round coming up, so no warning can be made or reacted to before the round occurs.

In the future, I will post in the PM whether or not you will have time to give warning.

During the surprise round only Raiel and Addaru can act as they made their spot checks.  I will be posting that tomorrow though as I need to get ready for a dinner date.

Re: OOC 2

We learned a lot of weave from the globes, I thought balefire was one of them.  I am serching the old posts for the information of what we recieved from the globes. I am not sure what level of weaves we can do, given the diadems Asurii and Raiel now wear.

Re: OOC 2

I'm pretty sure Marissa spelled out somewhere what everyone learned.  I just don't remember where exactly that was.  I'm sure she has a better idea and it would be helpful to have the thread and post number so we can all review it if you do recall it Marissa.

Though I would double check your PM's as that is where I worked things out for what Addaru learned.

Re: OOC 2

OK  I found that I already updated PC sheet with what was given.  We now have all affinities, and talents, +1 to Channeling level, and the feat Cast on the Fly.

Just not sure of the Diadems.

Re: OOC 2

Once all results are determined from the surprise round, I will proceed with setting up the first official rounds.  If you would like to go ahead and roll for your initiatives for that round, post them to me in a PM and that will move combat along.

Pays to read over ald things.  Found ther were were to taka Wilder and not Initiate for channeling class to I have at least updated my sheet.

Also looking over my goodies I found that I had the Crystal Spar that does 4D6 of damage to shadowspawn and that only the One Power hurts them as they regenerate normal damage.

Re: OOC 2

Depends on whether these Darkhounds are lesser or greater as to whether weaves of the One Power is the only thing that can kill them.

Even the Greater Darkhounds can still be hurt by normal weapons, they just cannot be killed by them.

Re: OOC 2

Just to make sure we are all on the same page, actions taken after reply #463 in the I.C. thread have yet to occur if you were surprised as the attack takes place within seconds of you all coming through.  Only Addaru and Raiel were unsurprized.

Marissa and Raiel have posted potential actions for Round 1 but may choose to change them based on how Initiative shakes out.  Once Taren's init is posted, I'll move into the next round.

Also of note, I tend to run things a bit more with the numbers then freeform.  There is a definite risk of death for all characters in games I run.

Regarding the other games would you prefer to just use this game forum for them or set up new ones?

Re: OOC 2

Taren, in answer to your question, no for a number of reasons.  This is a balanced encounter based on one factor of designing encounters and the overall abilities of the five characters, three of whom are proficient channelers.

It is meant to be an extremely tough encounter.  While I am not saying this is one of them, not all encounters are designed to be won by the PCs ... some you are meant to run from.

Re: OOC 2

I'll adjudicate the next bit of the combat round shortly but to give you a heads up, due to a cancellation a procedure I am scheduled for is now happening tomorrow.

As long as there are no complications I should be back on my feet by some time Wednesday but in case I am not, you all know why if the game has a pause for a few days.

Re: OOC 2

Thanks.  I wish that was the end of it.  This procedure is just exploratory to try to find out what is going on so a treatment can be determined.

I'll drop a line as soon as I am able though active posting may be a bit after that.
