Addaru steps up and to the side of his wife, drawing his sword as he does so but otherwise holding and waiting.

Prophecy - The Glade
Both of the remaining animated trees swing wildly, one focusing on Asurii and the other on Addaru.  The strange warped tree limbs shake and creak even as they swing with terrific force but not one limb connects as the two warriors quickly dance aside.

End of Round 1.  Beginning of Round 2.  Asurii, you are up in the initiative order.

Asurii lobs another level two fireball at one of the trees. but is prepared to duck and dart if needed aborting her cast or holding the One Power, if she can.

Prophecy - The Glade
This time the bead strikes dead on causing the animated tree to be blasted hard but even as some of it smoulders and shows little fires, it still moves. [Private to GM: Takes another 24 damage - total 36.]

IGA: Marissa you are up, you need a ranged touch attack to deal with the next one.

Taren continues to attempt to calm the animals. He does not want to kill it and they could use some more allies to their cause. He backs away slowly though, showing it that he is not a threat to it.

The Grolms look at Taren, shake their heads and three of them wander off in the other direction away from the two strange beasts.  The wounded one just watches Taren but makes no move at first then begins to lope in Taren's direction...

Actions? Raiel...Taren?

Taren pulls out some of his left over rations and offers it to the Grolm. He whispers over to Riel, "When I give you the word it is safe, please heal this creature. It is wounded. The others are not interested but this one may be of use." He continues to watch the Grolm..."Just in case, be on the ready."

The beam catches the next animated dark tree and it begins to glow then brightly fades from existence.

IGA: Addaru is now up in the initiative order.

Addaru takes a five foot step closer hacking at the limbs that threaten Asurii but making sure to stay well clear of the beam that is sweeping out and across the glade.

Re: The Prophecies of the Triad and the Four Seals.

Addaru's sword cuts through the limbs with ease though his first full slash missed as his attention wandered and focused on the beam of balefire but his series of cuts and scores afterward seems to cut the Dark One's strings as the limbs severe and the animation leaves the tree...

... standing several feet from where it started, stripped of bark and palm leaves with smouldering places as the humidity dampens the few small fires on its trunk.

No further attacks appear to be forthcoming, it appears inanimate once more.

IGA: Actions Marissa & Asurii.

Raiel takes another step back moving out of the animals "territory"  however being unfamiliar with the range of that territory for this animal she just keeps backing up .

The creature comes over snuffling at Taren's hand then with its sharp beak snaps up the proffered treats gulping them down.  It shakes its head, seemingly making a face before it sneezes abruptly spraying Taren's arm and upper torso.

It butts Taren hard in the chest with the back of its head but Taren gets the sense that it is more of a greeting then any real threat though its strength alone could do some injury.

Taren smiles and rubs the beast on the head, finding the spot that every animal has that just iches but they can't reach and scratches it for the creature. He pulls out more rations and feeds the animal if he can. If it takes it, good. If not, he watches to see what it actually does eat so he can offer that food to it. He looks back over his shoulder, "Very calmly come closer so you can examine its wound. Make no sudden movements and make yourself appear as nonthreatoning as possible." He continues to befriend the creature.

Marissa quickly ends her weave, moving forward to examine the area. "If this is only a bubble caused by his bonds being released one at a time, what will happen when he breaks free?"
There was no need to mention who. Marissa checks the area, to see if the intense heat and release of energies has left any crystal structures behind. Such material could be just what she needs to make a ter'angreal to let everyone access the One Power.

OOC

Thinking it might be easier to make a smaller ring sized ter'angreal for each person, rather than a larger ter'angreal to cover and area.

"Only the Dragon Reborn can truly stand against him.  If he cannot then all will be lost but that does not mean we should not fight against his influence or his agents." Addaru commented watching the glade for the return of their comrades or other threats.

Re: The Prophecies of the Triad and the Four Seals.

Marissa shivered at the thought and Addaru felt fread through their link for the first time. There had been grief and anguish, fear and anger, joy and love. This feeling of dread was new and very unlike his wife.

She moves back over to her seat after examining what changes the bubble had wrought, and finished working on her plans for the ter'angreal the channelers would need soon.

OOC

14:20, Today: Marissa rolled 22 using 1d20+20. Knowledge Arcana.

With the time to work it out, can 10 or 20 be taken?

Marissa does manage to find some crystalline objects near where the one animated tree was blasted.

OOG: A 10 can be taken though just for figuring out the current theory.

Taren manages to keep the Grolm relatively calm though it reacts with fear and tries to shy away when Raiel heals it but then it seems to calm once again butting up against Taren.

Re: The Prophecies of the Triad and the Four Seals.

Addaru stalked the glade absently doing various forms as he paced watching for the return of their scouts.  Thoughts had started entering his mind, none that he liked yet he had a duty.  Maybe he even had a destiny but regardless of whether he believed it, not everyone had a choice.

If he made it out of this he would have to find his cousin and get her to return to Stonebridge.
