Re: Chapter 1: Greetings and Salutations
The mighty bear succumbs to its injuries, unconscious and dying. The villagers stop attacking for a moment to begin to tend to the wounded and unconscious.
The flameskull screeches in anger at the bear. It commands something in Blood-tongue, and the villagers pause for a moment, puzzled. It screeches again and a few reluctantly raise weary weapons toward the party, still unsure of whether they wish to use them.
(The party has time for speech and short conversation with the villagers. Any substantive actions post-combat should wait for the next real round, including checking on wounded, the bear, the forest, as well as any attacks or spells. Diplomacy, Intimidate, Bluff or other speech checks may be appropriate. If you do not speak Blood-tongue, you can attempt to communicate simple ideas with an Intelligence check. Complex ideas will require a higher Intelligence check.)
