Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

The post is out! Hurrah!

Commander took a bit of a beating, but a busted hand and the loss of his 'Keepers' unit isn't so bad- considering that his objectives were all still accomplished. I think that he'll probably take not getting a 'clean win' pretty hard, though. That's kind of his whole thing.

I don't really mind who judges the NYC battle. Ma's post is worryingly good, and I don't really have any complaint about it. The one change is that 'Killer Queen' isn't young- but It's a minor detail, and I'm not sure if Ma' was just making a whippersnapper joke at her expense or not.

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

I did try to work it out for the best of all involved; The Commander got away and managed to steal Military information, Dieter only lost a double, Kane has new playmates and his own Army Unit to toy with, and Frank was enjoying a nice cigar.:)

I am sorry some of you seem a bit displeased with the outcome of the post, I tried my best yet I know such is not always good enough.:( I would like to remind those involved in the Gaultown contest that, if you wish, a request may be made for a new judgement.

As for the time skip, all seems well for me regarding that.:)

Oh, right!

To elaborate when I say that Commander's gonna be unhappy that's literally what I meant. As a writer the outcome suits me just fine. I have no issues with the post at all, and think that the end product does an excellent job of wrapping everything up.

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

I was very nervous when I posted my NCBP and kept checking to see if anyone was going to comment on  the writing.  By the time I went to bed, I was down to hoping that someone would notice!  LOL

@Khaos:
I am glad that I did a decent job with Khaos.  I sort of fell in love with the idea of the character after reading his sheet.  I will watch out for flamboyance in the future.  In my inner movie, he was portrayed by a taller, thinner Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka in the proper makeup.  I was thinking that 'Toodles' was more of a taunt to incite riot.  And I would have had him be meaner to Ma except that he was using her as a tool against the guy chasing him by allowing her to fall on him.

@Commander:
I admit that I forgot to research your villains, mea culpa!  And as far as Ma is concerned, she is older than anyone except maybe Frank.  But the turnip truck comment had more to do with being naive from having "not been to town before" than age.

And thank both of you for your kind words!

Peace and roses,
Ma

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

I'm good to timeskip. It'll be interesting to see where we end up- and a reshuffle will make it easier to start new fueds >:)
We should probably start off with some kind of narrative 'Intro scene' like last time, since that would help establish what exactly has changed.

-incidentally, I really like what Revenant is doing up in the Colombian Highlands. Just thought I'd mention that.

For my part of it, Black Magic and Frank Jackson will be involved in hearings performed at The Hague.:)

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

Thanks Commander.  I'm worried I might be being a little self-indulgent in regards to giving myself set-up time, but, it's the start-up for the character so I want to give him a little room to stretch and be him.

Next post should be Murder Time, Fun Time.

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

So which Gifted characters are currently in prison anyway?

Assuming that nothing major happens in the time skip, and that only the Gifted get sent to Maine, here's who I remember:
-Kane
-Spurt
-Mister Green
-Bohemian (Only if he loses his battle. Not technically gifted, but definitely not suitable for gen-pop)
-Destroyer
-Scrap (Jesus Jovellanos)

Status uncertain:
-Redcap
-Vincent Lee

I'm gonna' assume that the ITSDA don't attempt to arrest Black Magic or Meta for vigilantism, because that would be hella rude.

They'd save face by stating that Meta and Black Magic were ITSDA all along. ^_^

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

I'll write a post soon detailing the changes that occurred during the gap. Just gotta finish the New York post. =)

Brianna, I hope that you don't feel that our Gaultown post removed your character from the game. Are you okay with the temporary damage to Valorum?

Oh, believe me, I'm relishing in that. I can't wait to see how Brianna fares without him. :D

I'm just trying to get a handle on who died and who was captured. Does anyone have an accurate tally of the body-count?

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

Hehe. Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth back there. I was at the epicenter of a couple things I know, but life got... crazed for several months. Got engaged, changed my near future plans, worked incredible amounts of over time. You know.. the usual "life craps on your plans" stuff. Still, Dieter and the game are tons of fun and I am back on RPoL for the foreseeable future.

If you are willing to have Dieter back, I can try and find a place to jump in.

That said, what has happened since last I was around?

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

We've got a canon battle-post in Gaultown and we have a few new players; The Revenant is on the scene and killing coke-sellers, Boomer is lounging around in the ITSDA's home base, and Mister Khaos is starting some shenanigans in New York with Ma Nature.

I cannot offer you a new chair at the table, for your other was never counted as empty.:)

Allow me to give you a warm welcome back, and tell you how pleased I am that our happy world will be slowly ripped apart by cold hearted cunning and... wait a minute...

Just a little humor, yet I truly am glad you are once more with us.:)

Dieters back, awesome! Congratulations on your engagement! :)

The game's going to undergo a timeskip in the near future, so that should bring a ton of opportunities for new Namidian shenanigans.

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

Well it's not a thing just yet, but conceptually it's a Gifted think-tank for solving problems in the world. It will focus on the grey area between ITSDA and Namidianism. Sound fun?

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

That sounds like the Illuminati team from Marvel; ProfessorX, Doctor Strange, and the rest trying to solve things without resorting to punching their problems in the face.

Commander would want to be all over that.
Although he would probably question the logic of Meta naming the organisation after himself.

hehe!

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

Yeah, it would be interesting at least. Meta is not quite so selfish as to name it after himself, but the it's a bit easier to explain that way. Just a concept at this point.
