Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

Meta, you may want to approach a brand new character known as "Vector" when starting up your organization. Whether she wants to join in, however, is up to her and her player.

In other news, I haven't forgotten about New York. That post will come sooner rather than later and then I will post the timeskip announcement. I love this game in general, but I'm really excited about the Season Two initiative and I hope you all are too.

Welcome back, Dieter! I truly did miss your character (he's one of the game's backbones, after all) and presence in the OOC community. I believe we've treated your character with respect in Gaultown and hope that you're okay with his copy's fate there. On a more personal note, congratulations on your engagement!

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

Okay, Gaultown was awesomely epic, but was the card captured Dieter actually held? What is the status of that card that Jump made off with...

That could be important to what Dieter does next... Also, E.Nigma has so become one of my faves! It was a well written use of Dieter's tactics and powers. I love how his experience with his own abilities lead him to victory several times as that is an essential part of Dieter's schtick. Hehe, he certainly is a monster when he puts his mind to it. Gaultown is sort of a mess, isn't it! hahaha...

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

It is a joyous, chaotic mess of several people's design. And Dieter was a big part of it; in a way, it took Vandal, Valorum, Meta, Frank, Kane, Black Magic, and Jump to take him down.

I intended for Jump to deliver Magic's card to the prison in Maine, where Dieter would be "released" from the card and turned over to the facility. However, if the possibility of Dieter's copy in prison doesn't seem too enticing right now, it is possible that Black Magic's enchanted cards faltered while he was unconscious. What do you think?

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

A captured Dieter double is not optimal, no, but that is hardly a reason to have the effect falter. I leave it up to you. All I need to know is what happened to it. Dieter will be applying his considerable will and resources to finding it/himself. He cannot have the smoke and mirrors removed from his trick yet. I mean, one of the  ajor reasons Dieter always refrained from combat was revealing his own tricks, so that he remained more of a trump when he does engage.

Also, what is the exact effect and what can Dieter do from within that status? Inside a pocket dimension, what the heck is it? IS the copy aware of the situation, can he strain against it? I doubt there is such a thing as the perfect prison... maybe it does require Magic's conscious effort to contain a being as powerful as Dieter in there?

I am going to save myself some headaches and let the two minor villains from that combat die or be captured. Red Cap has some potential as does Nigma, so keeping them around. The Smith was a fun time against Frank but needs to be dead. You DON'T double cross Dieter and live to talk about it..

That leaves me Crimson, Green, Black, Vincent, and Nigma as pawns... erm, important pieces like bishops and such... OK ok, Nigma is probably a Knight at least. I need to gather resources, assess situations, and apply pressure to certain points. Whatever I got from it, the loss of resources and moneies in Gualtown will be a blow to SA for sure. Luckily, events elsewhere have been quite lucrative.

This is only how I myself read it while judging the battle, yet it seems to me the card trap would be based on Will; Diet looked to be in shock at the time of his capture, of course after surviving a mushroom cloud who could blame him? Black Magic's will infused in the card was greater than the villain's so in he went. Once said shock wears off however, Dieter will grow more and more like his old self, straining against the boundaries of 'cage'. Inside the pocket dimension there is most likely nothing, save for a window to look out of which serves as the surface of the card now depicting Dieter.

As for the location of that card, given whom was in it, the pasteboard was most likely delivered directly into the prison by Jump, and is sealed away in a room under the heaviest guard possible awaiting the inevitable event when the magick wears off and Dieter emerges from it

So, to recap, Dieter was in shock and unable to fight against the card, then probably confused immediately after yet his will keeps going; when it is strong enough, he will break free and the remains of the card itself will simply cease to be. Given whom he is, the card was most likely ordered to be directly transported inside the prison, where everything that could be done to prepare for Dieter emerging has been.

This is simply my take on things, and since none of it was written into the Canon post feel free to use it in whole, part, or not at all as you like.:)

I'd be glad to have you! Welcome to the game by the way!

I'll figure out a way to contact you in-game as well as other potential recruits! Anyone can let me know if you'd like to be party to that and I'll see if I can drum something up for an invite!

Hmm, let me think. I have a long day of travel ahead, but I will try and post something up in the prison thread about Dieter's circumstances.

His incarceration had to be a likelihood considered and factored for. Hehe. Time for a prison break! Anyone think that sounds like fun? Hmmm, what is this timeskip and when is it occurring?

Welcome to the game, Vector!

Loving the character. You wouldn't be interested in turning some of your scientific talents toward doomsday devices, would you? :3

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

The time skip was suggested to be anywhere from one week to a month, and I vote for a month as that would be enough time for everyone to heal up, get their strength back, resupply, get new vehicles, and what have you.

As for when it happens, if everyone is ready I see no reason to wait any longer. I would however like to double check and make sure we are set to move forward, lest someone's plans get messed up by a misunderstanding.:)

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

As much as I'd like to play Brianna with a half-broken Valorum, I agree. A month-long time-skip would probably be best.

As for when the Gaultown party gets back into things, I see no reason we should hold it up. I'm ready.

The New York battle post is done and done! Everyone did a good job with their posts; I did my best to weave some great bits from each one into a coherent whole. And Mister Khaos, I hope you like my attempt to portray your character in the scene I added!

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

And now the two-month time skip (though we can shorten it to one month) is complete. I hope everyone is alright with the changes I've announced. If not, they can certainly be altered!

And Revenant; since your story is still ongoing, you do not have to work the time-skip into it. Just know that the story jumps some time ahead following the conclusion of your character's introduction.

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

I for one loved the post, and I think that your additions and the way that you tied in the other two narratives definitely helped to patch up the weaker parts of my contribution. Good show!

I'm also hyped for the Timeskip! Considering that he got off fairly unscathed The Commander will definetly be pursuing his true objectives far more aggressively this season. I'm also going to try to get my other characters to be a little more proactive, which could have some fun scenes.

Re: Renovated Editor's Room (OOC Chat 2)

So, I've been doing a little research on particle physics and CERN. Currently it looks like UC Berkeley (Berkeley, California) and Fermilab (Batavia, Illinois) are our two largest cooperators with CERN research. Any chance either or these two places could be future locations in the story? Both could easily be targets for super-villians and super-heroes alike, looking for an edge against each other.

Just looking for places and ways to tie super-science characters together / into the plot ^_^

Soooo, Chicago and Gaultown might require Season 2 description updates... or just new, Season 2, threads? Spitballing as I try to decide where to start my current plans off.

Well, actually, I already know I am coming to New York. Finally!
