<sup>In 1979, this nuclear power complex in Pennsylvania gained infamy owing to a partial meltdown in its second reactor. The only actual malfunction on the part of the plant was a single stuck valve, though the matter escalated significantly due to a improperly trained and under experienced staff, combined with an overcomplicated computer interface design. Radioactive steam and iodine were both released into the environment, however there was no reported noticeable impact on the health of the general public.

Even though what happened was a minor incident in the scope of nuclear power, the event was nonetheless seen as significant enough to brand the plant a stigma it never fully lived down. While it continued to see use over a number of years to come, with new safe guards in place, various sections were shut down and the facility handed off to new owners a number of times. By 2009 Reactor Two was completely offline and shut down, with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission leveling a growing number of restrictions against the plant.

In 2012 the NRC ruled the plant's operation license would not be renewed, and the process of closing the site down was begun. By 2015 the remaining reactor was permanently shut down with the coolant system drained, the radioactive water decontaminated and evaporated, radioactive waste shipped off-site, and its fuel and core debris shipped off-site to a Department of Energy facility.

Now it is but an abandoned mass of concrete and steel, ignored and forgotten.</sup>

For once, Kane had plans. Ideas. Goals. Before, he just enjoyed the carnage he could cause. But now? After Vegas, Gaultown and the Prison, he decided he'd relax for a bit. Give himself some time to just breath. Two rounds in a row, he needed to recharge. However, this place wasn't quite as homely as he wanted it to be.
