Re: New York City (Location 2)
Jump shrugged, and made a gesture at the stairwell. He blanched, and his arm slumped, but the echoing sounds of footsteps disappeared. "Thought that might get this over with sooner. I don't have any training in anti... whatever it is you do." A chair appeared behind him, and he more slumped into it than sat. A moment later another chair appeared next to Cimmeria, and Jump made a gesture with his hand. "Feel free to take a seat." He stared blankly at the wall behind Cimmeria now, and was silent for a few moments. "You realize that I can leave at a moments notice, right? I doubt you haven't noticed that there's something wrong with my power right now, but I can easily survive a teleport. Even if you did engage me in combat, I would be gone before you'd even taken a step towards me, and you'd never see me again." Jump seriously hoped he wasn't under-estimating this woman's capabilities.
Color was returning to Jump's face slowly, and he was looking a little more rigid as well. He leaned forwards. Which was good, considering what ITSDA would do to him when he got back. Disobeying orders, putting himself at risk after becoming important to their operations. The list of infractions just kept piling up in his head. Jump scanned through the reports of people he'd memorized in the ITSDA databanks, and grinned widely. "You would be amazed at what one hears in the bars across the country when people assume a blind person is deaf as well." He said. Which was true. People did get surprisngly lax around blind men, but he'd never stepped foot in a bar, let alone listened into their conversations. "I can't be sure, but you've got connections. As does the man you hid wherever that portal leads. I watched the whole thing go down from a distance. Fight with magician man, who, surprisingly enough, walked out of the building with the help of AGF. I don't think they realized who or what he was." He was stretching. He knew the man had been escorted out, and was assuming it was by AGF. Distance dropped details, but enhanced the full picture. "I came here to open a door that was previously closed to me." He smiled wryly and glanced at where her portal had been. "Didn't intend for that to happen literally, but hey, that's how the universe works."
