Patrious stares down the thing slowly changing to his war form qhioe watching it but listening to his surroundings in case this may be some sort of ambush.

Patrious dives out of the way changing to a smaller form (lupus) to help him dodge the attack.

Got my Physical copy of the White howler Tribe book, today.

Cool I have been doing things PDF for a while but I prefer a actual book over PDF I guess I am just a throw back to the 90's from when I first started playing.

Can my natural senses or sense wyrm be used to sort of keep my bearings as to where the creature is at to continue the fight?

it didnt turn invisible or something.

Just curious as you said it blinded me so I was figuring out how to approach that problem.

After leaving his claws in the creature to make things more difficult for it he changes to crinos, roaring at the thing as he does. He then uses his sword to try to remove the tentacle that the thing is using as a weapon.

Your able to cut the tentacle off the creature screams but is able to form more at the ready,  and  it shoots you with some kind of acid...

He growls in pain at the acid that sprayed on him from the creature.  He then charges the creature trying to get close enough to make using it's tentacles difficult. Running in he uses his sword to try to disembowel the creature.

His rage building as a result of the acid and the putrid thing standing before him he taps into this and quickly strikes the creature again trying to put it down for good.

After the fight he returned to his homid form. His pelt covering his body had taken the brunt of the acid and was now ruined. He grabbed the body head in one hand and dragging the body itself by the feet back to the outskirts of the encampment. Dropping and covering the body with his pelt he entered the camp. Finding the older kin and the boy that journeyed with him before telling the boy
 "There is a dead warm minion just outside the encampment, I need you to gather wood and make a pyre to dispose of the body. Please leave the body undisturbed until I join you to help."

Once the boy starts the task he finds the older man.
"I slayed a formor outside of town I need to make sure that burning the body will be a proper means of disposal so it cannot infect the land."

The two of them that he spoke to could still see some blistering on him from the acid that was still in the process of healing since the fight. He is hoping that the older man had some wisdom to impart to him. Though the man was not Garou he would have been considered an elder among the kin and no doubt had many more years of experience in Garou society than Patrious has had.

He nods "It most cases it proves effacious... sadly theirs always freak exceptions..."

"Thanks that is the reason I didn't bring it into the encampment. Well that and because it would raise to many questions with the non kinfolk. Well I should go take care of disposing of the body, I have the boy helping me with it."

Patrious gave the man a nod and headed back to where the body was where he had sent the boy. He stopped by the fire pulling a partially lit branch from it to use for the fire to be built.

Arriving back to the sight of the body and the boy he found somewhere to place the torch like burning piece of wood. He then began helping him build the fire speaking with him as he does.

"So I heard you wanted to join the fight against the Romans. That is an admirable quality just remember don't be quick to throw your life away for an idea that is not your own, that is the reason I left the empire I didn't believe in their ways. But I did speak to the weaponsmith about making you a battle axe for whatever you decide."

After they finish stacking some wood he throws the body and pelt onto the fire stacking a bit more wood on top before telling the boy "back away so you don't breath the fumes" then lighting the fire.

He coughs and smiles "thank you my lord, it is just in this life, it is not my place to make war as a garou, but theirs always my next life, I hope to prove myself to Lion to Luna and to Gaia that they witness my courage and the purity of my soul, that is why Im willing to fight so eagerly"

"I admire your spirit" he said but he had a concerned look on his face and finally asked.

"Do you have a wife, a child? I only ask because you should also think of your bloodline before leaving for battle. War is a fickle thing and you never know what the outcome will be wither it be you or my kind. You should have someone to carry on your name if you fall in battle."

He spoke to the boy trying to impart some small portion of wisdom on him that he has learned from battles past and seeing friends fall.

While he spoke he tossed a couple more pieces of wood on the fire. Looking at the burnt formor he is sufficiently satisfied with how it is burning. He looks to the boy "I think it will tend itself from this point on. Lets head back and get some food."

"No my Lord but I am not my parents Only son, if I dont  make my bloodline one of note, is much lost by me dieing childless?" He asks rhetorically.

With that Patrious begins to head back to the camp. Perplexed at the youth but understanding in his reasons he says nothing more on the subject.

On the way he makes a stop by the weapon Smith to check on the progress of the boy's battle axe. "Connell how does the work on that piece I commissioned fair?" leaning in so the boy wouldn't hear.
"Are you capable of binding spirits in it? I would like a spirit of war to give him glory in battle, but also a spirit to protect him maybe a nature spirit in the wood handle. You are the architect I leave it to you."

After he was finished he went and spoke to the blacksmith about the horse shoes. "Hello there I wanted to check on the horse shoes."

He hands the man 2 gold coins and says "The kid will need a good horse strong, and fast. Please also make some protection for the horse. He is determined to go off and fight and I would like him to be glorious but hopefully return home."

He then made his way to the fire where there was almost always a pot luck going over the fire. Sitting down he invites the boy over close to him.
"Come lets eat, afterward we can train. Do you know how to track and scout?" he says while pouring up 2 bowls of food.

Blacksmith nods "Barding is difficult to make but I can do it."  Shakes head "Im no garou let alone a theruge, I cant make a fetish I can look over it though if you want it enchanted you'll need someone else to do so." sighs


smiles "Can I help you set him up with a good horse? To be sure"

Boy smiles "Yes my lord That sounds excellent."
