Re: The Keep

The knight looked for Xavier DeVale. Xavier had not been in the hall so Sir Excessive Force assumed he was training. He headed for the green.

Re: The Keep

Xavier was talking to the master of arms, giving him instructions based on what he had seen of each man so far. He sighed. He wished Wulfsen was back.

Well at least that would get him away from this for awhile. "I'm going to the kitchen for a bit," he told the master-at-arms."

"She stabbed a man. Repeatedly. Green was trying to save him but I think she stabbed him to death. I put her in a cell." Sir Excessive Force replied.

"Stabbed?" Xavier parroted. "She has been through a lot and has been working hard instead of taking time to grieve." He sprinted for the dungeon.

Millie was up on the roof of one of the towers, just starting out over the ruins of the village and the forest. She had been up there for hours. She sighed desolately.

"Im Juniper. I just arrived in with some friends of mine. We had been on the ocean for several weeks and came here to resupply. How long have you lived here?"

Juniper kept the majority of her story a secret until she knew more about her surroundings and their inhabitants.

"For the most part, I was born in the village that was raided and lived there most of my life. There were a few years that I lived in Bavaria, but I came home. I had needed to get away but I missed my friends after a while," Brie replied.

"It is nice to always have a place to stay. Roving the high seas isnt always as fun as some claim it to be. But Then again theres never a husband to keep you down!"

She laughed at her own joke for a moment before starting a coughing fit that caused her to wince in pain.

"Are you all right?" Brie asked with concern. She had been about to say that she had never felt tied down by her husband. But then again, many women were indeed held down by their husbands.

"Currently I'm helping my friend with the kitchen. I'll have to discuss the future with my husband Shawn, but since we no longer have a potential son-in-law to carry on, I'm thinking of taking up smithing again. I can handle one babe while working a forge."

"Ahh! So you're smith eh? I was one myself back home. Made this here for myself."

She tapped at the massive greatsword strapped to her back, something no normal sized person could wield. Juniper smiled at the prospect of working with another female smith. They were few and far between.

Ertzel had just left her family's room, intending to head for the kitchen for some snacks for herself and the little ones. She was nearly there when she heard a little girl crying out, along with an odor she didn't recognize. She picked up her pace until the sound grew louder.
