Re: The Keep- Kitchen

Difyr eyed the vomit, it looked like the food had hardly been chewed. She had never seen him before but he sounded like a Portside streetkid, she guessed Sileas or one of the others had brought him back with her.

"You're not poisoned and you don't have a plague, you'll live. "Come on, I'll get you something to make you feel better."

At least she already had to steep some ginger tea for Sileas. She got hte pot of hot water and headed for her healing rooms.

Oscar felt so miserable he would follow anyone who promised to make him feel better. He trustingly followed the woman.

Mrs Ragan came down to the kitchen to get food for her family- only to find the kitchen empty with bloodstains on the floor! She gave a startled shriek.

Juniper was wandering down the hall looking for a bed her size when she heard a shriek. She followed the sound and her nose to the kitchen where a blood stained floor and a distressed woman were.

"Are you alright miss? What happened?"

"I don't know. I just came down here to get food for my family. Those that usually work in the kitchen are gone and there's blood on the floor." Mrs Ragan was clearly upset.

"I don't know all the details but there was some confrontation where Questa cut Mrs Cort's ears off." Difyr volunteered. "Mrs Spenser and Ila were there, they should be able to tell you more."

"Why is it always Questa?"

Juniper muttered to herself as soon as the name was brought up. She swept the room with her eyes and stopped on Difyr. She paused a moment before speaking.

"Where did she go?"

"If Questa is with Ila she may be in Ila's room." Difyr said and headed for the dormitory.

Receiving no answer from Oscar, Sileas turned to Wulfsen. "Do you think he's still in the healing room? What if he made himself terribly sick?" Sileas started to worry.

No one had come to the kitchen yet, so Shawn decided this would be the perfect time to speak with his wife. He walked over to the cooking area.

"Hey, Brie. I made a decision yesterday. It's a rather big decision, and I know I should have discussed it with you. But I think you will pleased. I hope you will be pleased." Shawn reached for her hands. "I told Wulfsen yesterday that I was retiring from the guard. "It's time for me to settle down and have a farm." He looked at her expectantly.

Brighid kept her gaze on her husband as he spoke. At first, her expression was one of confusion, her husband and loved being Captain of the guard. But then her eyes brightened and her mouth widened into a smile. "I'm beyond happy! You're right, it's far past time. I'm so glad you won't be putting yourself in the line of danger everyday."
