"Oh." Wulfsen glanced towards the door leading to where Sileas slept, but made no moves to go down there.

Shawn eyed his friend and the direction of his gaze. "Maybe we should go to the hall and get some breakfast."

"Okay..." Wulfsen said in a disappointed voice.

Shawn smiled at Brie. "I'll come back after breakfast and we can go look at the plot of land I have in mind."

Wulfsen looked longingly towards Sileas's rooms.

Shawn clapped his hand on Wulfsen's shoulder. "It's not proper for a man to be in a young, unattached woman's room. Come on."

"We're to wed soon..." Wulfsen said, and blushed again.

No one had told Shawn of any such development. "What's this?" He glanced toward his wife who, to his dismay, was at the ovens."

"We were talking about getting married sooner instead of later..." Wulfsen said, wondering if Shawn knew Sileas was pregnant. He did not remember Sileas saying anything about her father's reaction to the news.

"Why sooner? Is there a reason for rushing it?" Shawn waved his hand. "It matters not. Until she is your wife, you have no reason to be in her rooms."

"I would never do anything to dishonor her!" Wulfsen protested.

"I never said you would," Shawn said. "But people talk. And it's not always the truth."

"Yeah, I know." Wulfsen sighed. He shook his head and headed for the stairs leading to the Main Hall.

"I'll see you later, sweetling," Shawn said before following Wulfsen from the kitchen.

"Aunt Brie!" Yehudit panted, trying to stand but she was too worn out to balance on one foot. "Galina has Sileas!"

Brie looked up from the tray of biscuits she was sliding into the oven. She wiped her forearm over her brow. She needed Aislyn here to help, or better yet, take over. "Galina is dead and gone. What do you mean she has Sileas?"

"She has a necklace with a thing... Galina talked to me through it!" Yehudit said.

"Are you absolutely certain it was Galina? She's never talked through jewelry or things before. She usually just gets in a person's head."

"Who else could it be? She has Sileas being all secretive." Yehudit said. "Get into her head calling her the Lowell heir and stuff."

"Lowell heir?" Brie thought for a moment or two. "I didn't know Galina was aware of Keegan."

"That sotah gets into heads, she knows everything." Yehudit said. "Am I the only one who is concerned that it tried to kill me and won't let Sileas go?"

"You didn't say anything about it trying to kill you. And what do you mean, it won't let Sileas go?"

"It's around her neck and won't let go." Yehudit said.

"I can't go check on it until after everyone's fed," Brie replied. "Without Ila and Aislyn, I have to do all of the cooking."

"Oh, and if Sileas winds up being strangled in the meantime?" Yehudit asked. "At least everyone got their #@&*( porridge today."
