As usual, the hyperjump alarm sounds after 156 hours in hyperspace. Just four hours later, the hyperspace alarm signals you are dropping out of Hyperspace.

Ahead looms a large orange gas giant, with a blue ball with speckles of green and white dwarfed by it's presence. Three small rocks orbit the blue ball.

Petty Officer Gun, as always on the sensors for emergence, is quick to scan.

"No obvious ships, sir. Wait, a small scout coming around the moonworlds horizon. She has activated a rebel IFF. Permission to transmit a response?"

Lewis patches into sensors from his station and flicks the switch of his comm unit to green. His hand rests on the alert button, in case he needs it, to notify the gun crews. "It's a lovely sight, innit?"

a. The crew best be at battle stations!!!!

Go ahead and send Gun Da Bin ... Lewis, keep guns on him just in case...

"Aye aye Cap'n." Lewis brings the nose turrets online, and activates the targeting computer, locking on target.

As soon as the IFF is sent, the vessel returns to orbit.

"We have engaged a hostile warship and shot down his fighters, but our beams could not penetrate his armour and our missiles were shot down.  He has landed here on this planet. We are short on supplies, so we ask that you stay here until he is neutralized or relief arrives. "

You note that the typical scout configuration of 2 heavy turrets has been replaced with 2 double light turrets, an inner light turrets with triple beams followed by an outer ring with triple missiles, in both the belly and dorsal position on the 300 dTon flying saucer.

Where is this enemy ship? We will deal with him if we can ... when is your relief due in? We can provide missiles if needed...

The planet is about 3/4 covered by water, with a number of islands, some of which are marked.

Three locations are marked. One is a medium sized Island with a large burnt section. The second is a mountainous region, whilst the third is a lovely small island with a mountain lake.

Nice, where is the damn destroyer?

"Let's get in a closer orbit and see if our sensors can pick up anything, from the marked regions?"
