"You'd think that after witnessing the almost complete destruction of Landfall, burying scores of their friends and relatives, and cobbling together an aircraft and flying alone for two days over eight hundred miles of wilderness to get help, they could show just a little gratitude and respect!"
In addition to his recent herculean efforts, he'd been one of the few to have spent most of his life maintaining the New Tel-Aviv and it's sleeping passengers, been in the first group to set foot on Aquitaine, and for the last six years worked tirelessly to explore the planet and search out new suitable lands and resources.
Now though, those very people he'd supported, most of whom owed him their lives, appeared to have turned on him. Perhaps it was because he was seen as an outsider, somebody who spent the vast majority of their life far beyond the edge of civilisation?
