Gear update

For those looking at space suits, the Bio-suit with all the add-ons has been added to the list. This would be the the fully kitted suit developed (and worn) by your employer and a number of his employees not in combat situations. Of note, it has the same DR as Nanoweave against laser fire, but half as much against against projectiles usually used by Vilani. However, it's long operating time and light weight means that it is perfect for explorers and repair/maintenance workers. The full space suit weighs less that the basic Nanoweave suit.

As a side note, many of these options are available with any suit, and would increase price accordingly.

Progress report

In reply to Raymond 'Duke' Vurhund (msg # 32):

Ok, just waiting on Kat Steele equipment list and the Duke's final sheet and equipment. Duke did mention that he has been snowed under at work, so we wish him the best with that. Once these are in, we can get underway. If any of the other three of you wish to make minor modifications to your equipment or characters, please do so before the above mentioned complete their tasks. I have the Captain and Navigation officer stated out and ready to go as NPC's now, as well as the petty officers.

Trekker also mentioned he was looking at joining us, but I have not heard from him since then, so he can come in later when/if he is ready.

I also have a co-GM who is new to GMing, so please be gentle with him! His wife is having a baby around now sometime, so you may not see much of him for a while!

Re: Progress report

Fate: A quick question on crew readiness. How long have we all served on this ship. I get the impression that it hasn't been long, but long enough to have little doubt about our ability to work together. Can you give us an estimate of "history" as a crew?

In reply to Carrick Teague (msg # 36):

The crew can have served on this vessel for years...the Captain certainly has, or months. It is really up to you, but the vrssel has been making runs into Sirius occasionally for the past few years, but mainly doing cargo runs around local terran systems.

I'll say I joined the crew 4 years ago, after I was retired out of the UNN Scouts.

Re: Progress report

How closely do you plan on tracking ammunition for personal weapons? i.e. do I need to buy a ton now and keep track, or is it safe to assume that the ships store should have plenty to restock between encounters?

I'll say two months, for Carrick. Still having the smell of new paint, but no longer unfamiliar to everyone.

You should be able to restock most ammo easily enough.

Re: Progress report

Hey,

I've not spotted and i might be coming in hot here, rather than reading through everything properly...

but do we have any kind of details about the ship? I mean, i know the size, what kind of stuff it has, stations etc etc. But anything juicy that i can get my teeth into?

As my guy likes to 'fiddle' with things, it'd be nice for him to start playing around with the thrusters to see if he can give them some kind of temporary handling boost.

also, is there a deck plan?

Re: Progress report

Where is the chief engineer on this ship? Should be be in the engine room? or usually on the bridge?

Also, if not on the bridge/command deck, would this infromation be relayed?

Re: Progress report

https://www.dropbox.com/s/j0lw...p-Traveller.pdf?dl=0    This links works for me...

I assume we are all on an intercom hook up and are located wherever we can best do our job ...so you are probably in or near the engines in some sort of control room. I'm not sure where the sensor and weapons controls are, but will assume in or close to the bridge.

Re: Progress report

yea, the link does't work for me,. that might have something to do with being unauthenticated to dropbox.

That's what i'd assume anyway - in terms of my location.
