Fractionation Station #4 lies half a mile south of East Highland Hills at the old tank farm complex.  The former company headquarters now houses the Bakersfield oilmen living away from home and the Alpha Company troops assigned to guard the oilfields.  Fractionation Station #4 is the newest of Bakersfield's refineries and the first one away from the city.  It is a triumph of postwar reconstruction and has paid for itself many times over with the diesel and kerosene it produces.
