I sort of got the impression supers are very knew so Devilgirl is probably off most people's radara and a lot of people who have seen her of heard of her probably assume she's a model or actress doing some weird ad campaign in makeup.

Supers don't exist at the start of the game.  Not to public knowledge at least, obviously some have existed, but maybe only known from the pages of the Weekly World News and myth and legend.

Take RL as it is now, add supers and shake.

I thought I put that somewhere... maybe just in a PM to Devilgirl. Oops.

Thought I saw something like that in the players wanted post.... not sure.  I put a little "great-grandpa was one of those mystery men" and "experimental/esoteric thingy used to save life as a baby" thing in my background but Gyre's powers didn't kick in until a few months ago and he has had other stuff to deal with than jump/flying around the city.

Whew, talk about timing.  I just had a rough patch this weekend and I'm ready to go, but I'm glad the GM has a vacation!.

I've. Got real spotty wifi. Devilgirl takes  no damage due to resistance.

This is going to take a while... Gyre is hard to hit (reflection works on melee too) and hurt but really can't dish out damage (Great is all he has).  Maybe she can punch herself or come to her senses.

Well Gyre could try and outsmart her. Devilgril is under a compulsion to destroy him so if he convincingly fakes his destruction she should snap out of it.

He is currently concerned with the devil turning on the crowd.  Gyre is pretty sure he can take some punishment for a while... he is hard to hit and tough.  Then playing possum is a good plan... or knocking her into power lines or something.

Almost said that he might not realize you are controlled, supers being new and all, but he is perceptive.

Question about reflection.  If he reflects the physical attack, does it reflect the aura or is it two rolls?  I'll just make the two rolls for now.

An aura isn't an attack so can't be reflected.

(was a private question, but good to answer for all):  All powers start out at Great rank, if you haven't put down what rank a power is at, I'm assuming it's at Great.

Do you have an update for my thread or should I just continue along the storyline I've been creating?

But in order for an Aura to hurt someone they have to be touched; Just standing near someone with an aura doesn't do anything (by default, extras not included).  Doesn't that require an attack and if the attack is reflected it didn't touch me?


He isn't as fast as Devilgirl... but fast enough to go hang out with the ranting guy who thinks he is invisible.  If Devilgirl doesn't have to touch for her aura to hurt, I can make him feel the burn.  At the very least maybe he doesn't have resistance so I can effect him.

Someday I'll develop a "spin others affliction" and they can ride the nausea express :)

Grye, it's a good argument.  The aura surrounds the super I'm assuming at a greater than nill distance.  I'm going to go with it touches you, as light touches the mirror when it bounces off, or a ball being hit from a bat back at a pitcher touches the bat... at least as long as her attack would have hit you.

Darien, I hid an update in the last 'Crime on the Rise!" post, you might have missed it.

Strike that, you have the force bubble, which it's reflected off of, so it doesn't actually touch you, just your bubble.

Yep, Gyre has a "Elemental Control: Force" bubble that he is spinning and spinning in (well it looks more like a vortex but that is just its appearance).

@Spook Gyre is more hard to hit and hurt than fast.  But Great speed is fast .... just not flash fast.

Darien has no movement powers, so he'll show up at the mayor's office at the speed of plot--whenever the GM says he does. :)
