Onyx enters the building with a minimum of noise or shadow. It's dark in here, except for the light from the small windows high up on the walls. It's pretty easy to avoid casting a shadow, but the floor is cluttered with random junk. Avoiding kicking it will be tricky.

Once inside, Onyx tucks himself into a corner and holds still, for he can see someone else in the room.

It's a rodian, wearing a desert cloak around his shoulders. The cloak is bulked out a bit; apparently he's wearing body armour.

The creature is sitting in the gloom in front of a wide tool bench. Arrayed on the table before him is a collection of weaponry. He is absorbed in cleaning the parts.

Onyx moves forward keeping his back to the wall and legs bent. He is trying to get close enough to make a grab for the Rodian. He wants to grab him in such a way to keep him silent, but unable to fight back.

I want to do this silently batman style, so how do you want to do this? Stealth check, or initiative check, and if I can take him down in 1 round then I did it stealthily?

Onyx approaches the rodian with stealth. He intends to take the thug down quietly, to avoid alerting the others.

Just as he gets close, he sees the thug's body language change. He pauses, and reacts just in time.

The rodian's hand snaps forward to grab something off the table. He whirls, intent on driving the vibroblade into Onyx. He hisses a high-pitched angry buzz through his snout as he attacks.

Onyx is ready for action. He has a split second before the first blow comes.

Onyx activates his vibroknuckles.

His left fist slams into the rodians jaw. Onyx can't help but smirk to the sound of fist on flesh. It had been to long. As soon as he makes his move with the left, his right is in front of his face. Waiting to protect its owner.

Taking a crack across the scaly face, the rodian recoils. He bounces off the table, but comes back swinging.

The vibroblade's subtle hum becomes a howl as it cuts through the air. The blade narrowly misses Onyx, cutting harmlessly through the air.

Onyx, now that he had seen the rodian attack, has a sense of his form. This allows Onyx to see that when he swings his vibro blade he leaves his gut open. Onyx waits for his opportunity and happy goes in hitting the rodian hard, right in the gut.

1 success. melee for real. 4 dmg gross, 2 pierce.

The rodian half-collapses from the impact. He charges forward, spinning counter-clockwise. The blade whips out unpredictably, gashing into Onyx's leg.

As the fighters dance, they kick pieces of scrap metal and small rocks around. Their vibroweapons hum and howl as they are swung.

6 damage, and put this advantage toward no one noticing our little brawl.

Onyx not happy to take the dagger goes in on him. Onyx hits him with a left to the chest and right to the head. As they spin around each other waiting for another opening Onyx manages to shut the door with his foot. Hopefully this will stop others from noticing there fight.

The hit to the head causes the rodian's head to twist sideways. Onyx hears a 'snap.' He steps forward just in time to stop the green alien from falling right onto a pile of tools. His body hangs limply in Onyx's arms. Onyx gently rests him down on the floor.

Although the body isn't particularly large, moving a humanoid body is hard. The weight and limp nature can easily hurt you if you do it wrong. Right now he's right in the middle of the floor, however. If anyone comes in, he will be plainly visible.

Onyx cases the room. Two landspeeders are here, technically. One appears functional; it's probably the one the thugs took to get here. It's a midsized one capable of hauling six people or so, with plenty of cargo space in the back.

Another landspeeder is in pieces, being little more than a chassis and scattered parts right now.

Onyx checks the body for stims, a comlink, or other things of value. If he finds anything great. If not he continues on. He goes to the door and listens waiting to see if it sounds like anyone noticed his activity.

Onyx finds two hundred and twelve credits in cash on the rodian.

He is carrying two commlinks. One is a common civillian model, inexpensive but good for only a short distance with not much interferance.

The other is a military model. Powerful, bulky, durable, and locked with a code-key.

On the table, in various stages of deconstruction, are a bunch of weapons. A light blaster pistol is assembled but unloaded. A slugthrower pistol is next to it, with a clip of bullets resting neatly beside the slide. A field-stripped blaster rifle is in the midst of being cleaned before reassembly. In addition, the rodian dropped his vibroblade. When it fell from his hands, the small engine disabled itself as a safety precaution.

Onyx creeps to the door and listens. It sounds like a conversation occuring at the other end of a hallway. At least two people, more if some are keeping quiet.

Onyx grabs the credits, and both comlinks. He sets the non military one to the rebel com channel I always thought comms worked like this. if you use them differently let me know. And whispers This is Onyx. Anyone copy? As he does this he takes a couple steps back from the door and waits with his rifle pointed at the door in case anyone enters. If he gets no response he assumes the ship must be to dense for the comms to penetrate.

If this happens then he grabs the blasted pistol loads it with his extra reload, and grabs the limp Rodian. Onyx then opens the door holding the Rodian out in front of him with one hand, and holding the blaster pistol to the rodian's head. DONT SHOOT. I want to make a deal.

The door opens to a short hallway, about twenty feet long. At the far end is another door, hanging open. Onyx can see a pair of humanoids standing in it, leaning out to see what is going on.

One is an aquilish male, and the other is a human female. They goggle at him holding their comrade up before them.

"W-Who are you?" the woman stammers. "Are you that moisture farmer?"

I'm no moisture farmer. I'm just man trying to save the only friends I got a chance keeping. Now who wants to give me the keys to that ship outside?

The two thugs draw weapons, but don't aim them. Possibly they're worried that Onyx intends to blow the rodian away.

"Mister, you've got a gundark by the tail now. Do you know who owns this land? Jabba the Hutt, that's who. If he wants to make a delivery to his own property, you'd better not try to stop him," the woman warns.

"[Language unknown: Enc e lo] Rix," the other says in a warning tone of voice.

Onyx is glad to know that they care for the rodian. At least he has some sort of a bargaining tool.

I could care less about what Kriffing Hutt owns the place. Right now you should be telling me wether or not you can get that ship to open up. I mean you got to have some fusion cutters, keys, anything. I'm not picky. Get creative. 

"You're out of luck, bantha-breath," the woman says mockingly. "No-one outside the ship can get in without Tech-Hound's approval. And he only listens to him," she says, pointing at the rodian in Onyx's captivity.

Well maybe you should get your comm out call this Hound and let him know that this scary man has a gun to his favorite rodian's head, and the only way he won't blast him is if the hound lets go of the man's friends. Did I explain that in simple enough terms?

"Yeah, but they don't even like each other. Tech-Hound would probably --"

The woman's gloating is cut off by a sharp comment from her colleague. She looks abashed for a moment, then aims her gun at Onyx. "We've got a dozen guys here, in the farmhouse," she says menacingly. "They'll hear any shots. You'll be surrounded."

Onyx smirks. A cocky smirk. A look someone who had control of the entire situation would have. Yes he had no control. In fact this probably wasn't his best idea, but he needed results. Times like this is where you gotta go all in. If they call you your fucked, but whats the point of living if you don't take risks.

Ya I won't get out of here alive, but you can be sure I'll make my death a glorious one. In fact if we can't work this out you got my second bullet.

Onyx gives her a little wink.

So what do you say? We gonna work things out, or are we gonna get a little messy?

The two look at each other, plainly out of their depth. The rodian picks this moment to fall forward limply. Onyx barely manages to keep his grip on the alien.

The thugs, already twitchy, react with violence. They aim their slugthrowers, preparing to fire.

Acting just a moment before Onyx manages to, the thugs open fire. Bullets ring off the steel walls and Onyx hurriedly ducks behind the doorframe.

Their loud, clumsy firearms are still deadly at close range. Onyx catches a single bullet, but also hears the woman scream. He sneaks a peek. The woman's gun seems to have misfired. She is clutching her neck as blood pours profusely forth.

Ranged (light) 2 successes, 4 threats. 7 damage presoak. spending threats to endure weapon damage.

Onyx dives to behind cover and then grabs his sporting blaster. He then fires. If it looks like the girl who shot herself can still shoot, then he aims for her. If not he goes for the person with her.

Onyx blows away the other thug. The second, still terrified of the blood streaming out of her neck, fires wildly. The slugthrower bangs until it clicks empty. Onyx is unharmed.

Onyx walks over to the women. He pulls out the blaster pistol and holds it to her head. I'll make the pain go away if you tell me how to get that ship to open.

I really gotta put some points into coercion.

2 failures, 1 advantage

The thug refuses to surrender. She attempts to raise her gun up and fire at Onyx at point-blank range, although she accidentally drops it. It goes skittering across the floor.

This room is small. It's almost a utility closet; there are circuit breakers and wires running through it. There are also a pair of shelves that hold a number of small tools and odds & ends.

Onyx shakes his head at the women. I honestly didn't want it to come to this. He walks over and grabs the vibroknife the rodian used earlier. He than walks over to her. Lets start left arm. He sits across her his left leg over her neck. His right over her legs. He than slowly cuts into her arm doing his best to cause as much pain as possible. As he does this he puts his left hand in her right hand. If you feel like talking give me a squeeze.

oday: Onyx rolled 3 successes, 2 advantages using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 3a 1b.  Cutting through her with a coordination.

Now coordination might be pushing it, but let me know. I was sick of failing my coercion rolls.

The thug shouts in pain and distress as Onyx begins torturing her.

Onyx feels sickened by his actions. He is uncomfortably aware that inflicting physical pain on a prisoner is against Rebel doctrine.

Roll Discipline 2D. Uncancelled failures represent strain. Uncancelled Threats will result in the prisoner's cries alerting others!

Meanwhile, the prisoner surrenders her arms. She has little choice but to comply.

Onyx can take the two thugs' slugthrowers. One is a rifle, and the other is a pistol. He also acquires the thugs' wallets; they have one hundred credits between them.

Onyx can't help but feel he is betraying the ideals he is protecting, but if it can free his friends. Anyways why would anyone have to find out?

After a short interrogation, Onyx concludes that these thugs didn't really know much of import. They were simply brought here to keep the place secured while the deliveries occurred. They're still waiting on more supplies that should be in sometime during the next standard day.

Onyx reflects on the utility speeder the team saw being packed with supplies back in Mos Espa. Surely they must be getting close now.

Apparently there are four more of Jabba's people in the farmhouse. Tech-Hound brought a half-dozen battle droids onto the ship once it arrived. Then he locked it and has since refused to come out.

The thug passes out after conveying this information.

As Onyx concludes his interrogation, he hears a sound from outside. The hissing, shunting noise of a ship's gangplank lowering is familiar enough. Dienon and Forim must have gotten the door open again! Unfortunately, it's loud enough that everyone on the farm must have heard it.

Do I see anyway i can get ontop of the building im currently in?

The building is connected by a short tunnel to the garage. The garage is built into a dune. Climbing to the top of the dune is easy, and stepping onto the garage roof is no more difficult. Creeping along the top of the tunnel is a bit harder, as it has a rounded roof.

Onyx starts his climb. as soon he scrambles onto the rounded part of the roof he realizes this isn't gonna end well. As he slides off he readies himself and does his best to take minimal fall damage.

Onyx lands softly in the grassy sand, but then hears something even louder than before. The ship is now whining. It is powering up its repulsorlift engines!

Onyx sees the group of thugs running out of the farmhouse, shouting and waving at the ship.
