Mission 1: Red Jester

Ikki nodded as to show he understood "I'm old enough, I was just looking for a guy named Urvel. Do you know him?" He asked the Trando, if he couldn't get in at least he could do is find their contact. He didn't lie, but if anymore questions were asked he'd have to give false information.

The others looked busy for now and it would ruin their cover if they helped him out regardless.

The trandoshan nods, and points at the human in a brown robe seated at a table by himself. "That's him."

Ikki approaches the adult male human. The man nods nonchalantly, and pushes a chair out.

"Are you here alone? I thought there might be more of you," he says, out of the side of his mouth.

In reply to The Force (msg # 34):

Forim laughs and says "Rancor, that must be some giant of a man!" before dealing the cards.  Maybe they would elaborate... maybe they would get mad at him for asking too many questions.

Forim starts to wander internally if this was the best role for him to take in this mission.

A few of the spacers shake their heads at Forim's remark. "Not a human. Gamorrean. One of Jabba's enforcers likes to come in here to drink. If you're here when he is, be careful."

Ikki nods at the Trandoshan "Thanks." Moving over quickly he takes the seat that he offered him, answering the question as he sat down "No, some of us are already in here." He answered back before offering his hand out for a handshake for appearances. The introduction of his comrades could wait, now wasn't the best time.

"So Mr Urvel. What do you have for us?" While the question was made to sound like a work offer, anyone involved would know what he meant.

Mission 1: Red Jester

Cole Urvel the moisture farmer murmurs as he speaks. "This isn't the best place to chat; we can't have those guys overhearing. They're Jabba's shipping crew, waiting for orders. I think they're waiting to take the stuff you guys are after too."

"Their ship is at one of the nearby moisture farms that Jabba has bought out. They don't know when they're going to ship out, so I'm worried it could be soon. If you think we need more time to work, we could sabotage their ship."

"The local honcho for Jabba is Boss Thrumdush. He goes by the place every day or so, makes sure everything is in order. He's a venal, arrogant womp rat of a man. I think Jabba promoted him as a joke."

"One more thing. I've build a..." with this he leans in and speaks in a hush, "bomb. I packed a bunch of bantha dung around a core of chepatite. One blaster shot should set it off. I don't know what to use it for, but it's ready if you need it."

He sits up. "Anything else you need, I'm happy to help with. I know the local jawa clans pretty well. They'll do anything for credits or junk, except fight."

Ikki rubbed his chin in thought, Sawalim made a good point. However what if they just let them load it on? Hijacking would end up with both a ship and cargo. But ideas would have to come later. Taking all the information, hopefully they could get a bit more. The area was too much of a blind spot.

Sorlock nodded as Sawalim asked to move to a quieter place to talk. "If you could give any jobs in town to me. It gives me an excuse to scout around and it helps you out for helping us." He keeps his voice down still.

Mission 1: Red Jester

The customers of the Cantina are eyeing Sawalim curiously. Cole feels moved to explain.

"There's only one of your people on the whole of Tatooine so far. Most call him Hammerhead. He lives in Mos Eisley, but I met him once. He was scouting for sites to grow his plants, and was trying to secure a water supply."

As Ikki asks about jobs, Cole shakes his head. "There's no work in town. Jabba is buying out all the moisture farms. What he's doing with them I couldn't say, but there's no-one working them anymore. Without any water the town is... uh, drying up." He sips his drink, and speaks low again. "Raiders attacked my farm, just like the others. The authorities blamed Sand People, but I know the difference between a Tuskan and a Rodian in robes."

When asked about a safe place to plan, Cole ponders for a moment. "I split the rent on a storage shed here in town with a friend of mine. If you promise not to steal any of his stuff, I'll loan you the key." He gives you a metal key and draws you a little map of the streets. The storage yard is two streets to the south of Jabba's warehouse.

Sawalim shifts uncomfortably under the heightened attention. "Yes, I am familiar with that exile." She burbles a throats-clearing huff.

"The storage shed will serve well - and the Rebellion isn't so desperate as to start raiding moisture farmers storage sheds. We are here..." Sawalim points to their shipyard and describes the ship. "Is it safe to presume that the shed is where you store your faecal explosives?"

Ikki raised an eyebrow at Sawalim's knowledge of the other Ithorian. But this wasn't the place to ask. Sorlock nodded at the agreement "We won't touch anything." when Cole handed the key, Ikki took it and slid it into his Duster's pocket. Since he already scouted the area, he already had a vauge idea where it was.

Ikki nodded the Cole "Thanks. We'll be in touch if we need anything. Probably tomorrow at the latest." The spy already had an idea of what he wanted but he wanted to talk it over with the rest of the team. Ikki made eye contact with Sawalim "Shall we go?" He suggested as he stood up, making eye contact with Onyx for a bit longer than a moment before heading out the door. Hopefully Onyx would follow suit soon after.

In reply to Sawalim Oord (msg # 45):

Cole blanches as Sawalim asks about the bomb. "Heck no! I wouldn't keep that thing in the storage shed. What if it goes off? All my stuff would be ruined! No, I put it in a plasteel box and buried it near the town's edge. I'll show you."

With a few more lines from his stylus, he expands the map. 'X' marks the spot.

Onyx notices Ikki's glance, but does not follow suite. Instead he stays at his seat waiting for Forim to finish his game. Onyx knows from experience how dangerous it can be for someone to be alone on an unknown planet. He shakes his head thoughts of his childhood returning to him. He finishes his glass before relaxing back in his seat.

Mission 1: Red Jester

Pretty soon, part of the team has assembled at the storage area. Several rows of sheds stand in a field, surrounded by a fence. You are able to use your key to convince the sleepy security guard that you belong here, and soon you find your way to the shed in question.

It's crowded in here, mostly with parts and tools. Everything here is either broken or partly assembled. You imagine that a skilled mechanic could use these parts to assemble a simple but rugged vaporator, or some other device. On one wall is a collection of plasteel crates.

Dienton meanders through the streets enjoying the oportunity to see a new place with new people.  He leasurely makes his way to towards the storage shed dancing out of the way when larger folks barrelled through.

He shook his furry head in amusement . . big people . . they just lumber in straight lines pushing aside what they considered to be in the way.  He always though that if people would just notice the wonders around them, the galaxy would be a nicer place.

Reaching the shed he uses his comlink to alert his cohorts of his arrival and steps inside.  Having some mechanical experience himself, he steps us to asist Sawalim.

Lost... again.   The press of people in this place was... confusing to say the least and Caddy struggled with both the closeness and with the unfamiliarity of a place like this.  But.  If she was one thing, it was persevering and she struggled on, every now and then asking for directions.   Eventually she spotted someone heading towards a storage shed who look remarkably like one of her 'soon to be' compatriots and tailed him in.

Pausing at the door, she peering into the half-light, "Hello?"  Relief as she saw a second 'match' which almost certainly confirmed that these were indeed the people she was looking for - though she did wonder what game they were playing together.

Cassidy Jammer shielded her eyes against the twin suns, the blue bandana wrapped around her head and keeping her multi colored hair out of her eyes did nothing for the glare. Her white tank top was drenched in sweat and her tight fitting black pants were proving to have been a poor choice. a small blaster hung openly on her thigh, and a heavy long jacket was thrown over her shoulder, hanging on a hooked finger from her other hand. Spotting a number of humanoids that fit the dscription of her supposed contacts converging on a particular shed, she moved toward them. "An Ithorian, a Chadra-fan, and an Arkanian all walk into a shed. Are we all here for the same reason?"

Ikki grabbed his rifle at the first sign of the new people arriving. However they didn't seen to be any threat. Allowing the rifle to lean against a crate that he was sat on. Looking at them in turn and then to Sawalim as she spoke "Actually. We promised we wouldn't take anything. But they don't look like locals and are too friendly to be anyone from around here." He summarized as he looked at their clothes and weapons "I don't suppose....you're more agents?" He asked them, though his hand hovered a bit closer to his rifle once again.

He had been thinking over a few plans but waited for the rest of the team to show up until he announced them.

"Here for the same reason you are, I suspect. There's a Hutt with something that he should...'lose' soon." He grinned more widely. "Name's Jeron Rist. Pleased to meet you all. Especially you two." The last was said to Caddy and Cassidy.

"Jammer. Cassidy Jammer." she said, stepping into the shade of the shed's interior. She gave Jeron a confused look, as though unused to the concept of flirtation. "What I'd give for an IFF system at ground level." she said, barely loud enough for others to hear. "I really don't care for this sneaking around bit. Anyone here not with the Rebel Alliance, say 'Aye'.
