LOVE Cordon!
If you're modelling missions on that, it's going to be very interesting (and deadly).

Re: General Discussion and OOC

Should go into the character sheet section that probably hasn't been opened up yet, unless we're all supposed to see each other's most deep, dark, intimate details - not the best of ideas.

Hmm, looks like mine has already been done, so it's possible yours has been too. Click on the "Character Details" link at the top left and you should see.

Anyone got any equipment yet or do we want to do that as a group?

Info about equipment was we were to "shop" for it in game, I think we have the Basic walk around and load bearing stuff but weapons and ammo and "war materials" are a no no
Second point I need a bit of help here, How/where do I set fro RMAIL

Re: General Discussion and OOC

rmail is an internal, rpol only message system. You shouldn't need to "set" anything with it.
The link to it is usually located in the upper right of the screen - I'll send you one so you can see how it works.

Well... while I'm dealing with food poisoning I'd like to at least think about my character. So what are you two playing? Not just skill wise. Term wise and the like.

Mine started out with 3 terms of Rangers, followed by the last 8 years (2 terms) as a (renamed) State law enforcement (renamed to bounty hunter). He is a master tracker, and obviously a shooter.

Re: General Discussion and OOC

Norwegian born, 2 terms construction, 1 military academy, 3 Marinejegerkommandoen (Norway's version of Rangers/Special Forces/Seals), specialising in explosives.
Current rank equal to Captain (OF-2) and only recently discharged from the army (due to cutbacks, not choice). Speaks passable if accented English as well as his native Norwegian.
Although the team will be based in Antwerp, I'll probably still have him living at home in Southern Norway (it's only 800 or so km away) and commute as necessary.

Re: General Discussion and OOC

Please the character stats in the details section (which I hope isn't visible to everyone - let me know if you can see Sam Allington's) and send me the bio via PM.

Again, I've been away from this site a long time.

Re: General Discussion and OOC

Can see this:
General Seaworth:
Samantha "Sam" Allington

A petite Caucasian woman with brown hair, a New York accent and a degree in Accounting, Samantha Allington is a demonstration that while librarians may be scary, what you should really be scared of are accountants. Especially ones that were also Marines... until she got caught filching money from the Corps for a cartel.

She serves as the chief accountant of the Rats of Cork.

My character sheet is in the right place, and description/background written up. Just need to sort out basic equipment and I'm right to go.

Changed bio for myself and for PC.
I have a question regarding equipment, or more than one;
First; I will assume that basic gear is permissible as per issue for a new PC in the 2.2 book. Any add on?
Second; No weapons or Military grade stuff at this time. I presume this does not mean mundane survival and load bearing type material.
Third; since that type of equipment is mission specific (not all I know) we will go into obtaining such equipment in “game”.
Fourth; will we use our earned financial amounts from character creation or so other means for funding?

Re: General Discussion and OOC

My character should be done. Turned him into the GM. Former military intelligence interrogation specialist who's spent the last couple of years working with Adam. But I wanted to know something. See I am not experienced with this system. I played in one session of it once about 15 years ago. Not exactly a wealth of experience in it.

So what I want to know is if primary skill assets of 13 or 14 pretty solid for the system? Doing the math it seems so but that doesn't always translate into play.

I'd guess anything in Pauls site (http://www.pmulcahy.com) should be acceptable, in particular the Equipment sections (obviously not some of the more high tech military grade stuff, not to begin with anyway).

Third; since that type of equipment is mission specific (not all I know) we will go into obtaining such equipment in “game”.

Makes sense.

Some missions will probably require us to provide our own gear, others the patron might supply it for us. Probably best to avoid buying that Ferrari from starting cash I'm guessing.
Eric Woods:

13-14 is quite respectable really. Even a 10 or 11 should accomplish most tasks without too many problems.
I've got Combat Engineer:17 because when you're dealing with explosives, you REALLY don't want to screw up. Rifle's up there too, but almost all other skills are hovering somewhere between 7 and 11 with a couple slightly higher.

I would suggest that used financial amounts be used in buying 'owned equipment'. I will allow you to own a handgun or similar semi-auto weapon as per Belgian law.

Also, in terms of money, to factor in roughly 30 years of inflation, assume that all costs and term earnings are doubled from the printed/web materials (easier than 2.5 that's for sure)

The company pays your rent and other general living costs.

I'm taking a quick trip to the nation's capital from today until sunday, followed by a 24-hour shift at work from monday morning to tuesday morning, so I will most likely be active on tuesday the next time. I might have some time to work on the game on the trip, but I'm not making promises.

Re: General Discussion and OOC

Random thought - how about an IC thread where we can all get to know each character over a few cold ones? Nothing like telling old war stories in the bar and general bullshit. Should keep us busy until the game actually kicks off.
