Scene 2c: Venatus est Venator

James blasted the cyborg, still on the floor, hitting it full-on in the chest and in the process spraying the walls red with blood. It still didn't show any sign of pain but its movements appeared impaired by the damage it had incurred from the hunting party.
It attempted to get back up again.

Seeing Vadim down the creature began moving carefully, stepping over the other in a protective manner, as if now guarding him. Hand outreached and eyes focused on the cyborg, Al gave another jerk, using its own inherent psionic abilities to bash the cyborg against a wall as firmly as it could.

10:06, Today: Ai Fujiwara rolled 2 successes using 4d10 with the World of Darkness 3rd ed system with a target of 6.  Telekinetic throw, willpower spend for additional success. ((3,8,2,10))

Scene 2c: Venatus est Venator

The cyborg was rammed headfirst into the wall, it's skin tearing lose on his forehead, making his steel skull bloody apparent. Its eye gleamed red as it growled, not due to pain but sheer frustration. He tried to get up again but his damaged internal systems and probably the chest and shoulder wound caused him to sag back down on the floor. He steeled himself against the incoming attacks, ready to roll out of the way, hoping to find an opening to take down his opponents and escape. James' headshot was nearly sealed shut again.

(he splits his dice pool, using 3 to try to get up and saving 3 to dodge an incoming attack)

(james' turn)

The fact that the HITmark was repairing as fast as he could dole out the damage was hardly comforting but James continued applying the same methods as before. Enough firepower would hoepfully overload its capacity to do so and given the lack of alternatives, the restraints for example being unsuited for a still moving enemy, he continued to shoot.

OC: 4 Successes to hit. If you roll the dodge then roll the damage based off those successes?

The man-machine's primary concern seemed to be to get back up on his feet. He hadn't intended to fight the hunting party and his mission objective was in danger, not to mention his continued existence. He got up, tried to head up the stairs, slipped on his own blood and did an epic faceplant on the concrete stairs.

(it again splits his dicepool between dodge and trying to get back up. And botched both on account of being hindered by already being wounded)

Seeing the target slip, Al took its chance. The beast suddenly charged towards the fallen cyborg, slashing at it furiously with its claws.

Scene 2c: Venatus est Venator

Al ripped into the cyborg with its claws, taking chunks of flesh out of it and painting the walls red with blood. The HITMark tried to kick the abomination off of him but his systems were overwhelmed and his nanites could not cope with the massive damage inflicted by the vicious claws tearing into its abdomen. It fell silent at last but as James noticed the gunshots he had inflicted were still slowly healing, even if the claw wounds inflicted by Al and the shoulder blasted by Vadim before he'd went down were not.

"Nicely done." Nodding to Al as it squatted over the cyborg it had downed James performed a quick sweep of the area for any signs of people attracted by the fight before squatting next to the biological experiment and fishing out the Primium handcuffs that were part of the restraint kit to secure the cyborg. As far as he knew Vadim still had the headset part of the restraints but adding that was the initial priority.

With his ears still ringing from the earlier explosion and unable to hear anything James finished applying the handcuffs before taking out his phone to fire off a text message to base, ++Target HITMark down though potentially capable of recovering. Vadim down, potentially dead. Presently explosion deafened so cannot use comms.++ That done he returned to check on the target, indicating the base of its neck and spine to Al. "If it looks like it'll be getting back up sever the spine." That done he took another quick glance around the room before checking on Vadim.

While he didn't entirely understand words like Spine and Sever Al more or less understood the gist of his human companion, 'strike there if it moves until it stops moving'. He felt hungry and wondered if his prey was edible. It certainly looked edible ...

--> From: Portentum

Richard's CQC training was out of practice.  The breach-and-aim wasn't flawless, but it got him in the room -- aiming, assessing targets, almost pointing his sidearm at Al before identifying him as Al, and only relaxing when he saw the battle was over.

"Ms. Fujiwara, check Mr. Dragomirov," Richard said, pointing the young doctor to their fallen peer, and approaching -- with a bit of caution -- the outsider cyborg.  "Is the deed done, Mr. Ellings?"

Still in the middle of checking Vadim when the others entered James glanced up at the motion out of the corner of his eyes, spotted the team and relaxed a bit. Fishing out the headpiece to the restraints already on the cyborg he squinted at Richard as the man spoke and pointed to his own ears, "Explosion deaf."

Moving from Vadim to give the actual medic chance to take a look he spoke as he went, "Followed it from the initial encounter, it left a booby trap using Jackie's body. Used some manner of electrical attack to down Vadim after he put some holes into it, Al and I finished it off. Looks to be able to recover from fairly serious injuries but some of them stuck." Kneeling down to secure the headpiece to the cyborg James checked the handcuffs were still secure before doing so.

Ai ascertained that Vadim was unconcious and had suffered external and possibly internal burns and possible nerve damage from the electric current the cyborg had hit him with. Vadim's leftarm was twitching occasionally but at the moment she could not ascertain this was nerve damage or muscular spasms. Patching him up would end up prolonging the healing process and possibly exacerbate any potential internal damage. Stabilizing him for transport might be better. Either way it would likely take at least a day to get him back on his feet.

Richard nodded confirmation and touched his earpiece, letting the two of them get to work.  "+Control, confirming cyborg is down, and provided restraints are being applied.  Agent Fujiwara is working on Agent Dragomirov.    Agent Ellings was deafened by an explosion.  I'll check with him for signs of Agent Tanner -- we are going to need assistance getting everyone out of here.+"

He scanned the room for any sign of Jacki; failing that, he prepared to punch in the question of where she was on his phone and show it to James.

17:12, Today: Richard Jackson rolled 1 success using 2d10 with the World of Darkness 3rd ed system with a target of 6.  per+alertness hunting Jacki.

Fortunately Jacki was near and despite having been barbequed by the cyborg before he dragged her through the sewers was still breathing. She was in a bad shape though, that much was clear to all at first glance.

++This is Light. Return to base. I'm sending two ambulances. It will take the wounded to HQ hospital bay. James, you go with the prisoner. Ai with Vadim. Someone will pick up your vehicles and we'll make up a story for the media later. I'm calling in some favors. The Association is sending two of their people as backup. This thing is snowballing fast. We have lost contact with agent Reyes .. ".

(the cyborg dropped Jacki during the fight on the stairs so I imagine she's slid down during the tussle)

"Patching him up is only going to make this worse. I'll stabilize him for transport. It's looking like external and some internal burns." She reasoned as she began working.
"If you're taking the cyborg back to headquarters, you should probably take Alpha with you as well. You'll need him if the cyborg somehow deals with the restraints." She pointed out.

OC: Missed any reference to Jackie ave for the insinuation about mealtimes from the rat POV earlier. If she's alive a bonus

With the allocation of who was going where and how James had to take a few minutes to work out what was going on, aided mostly by messages on phones and general expressions. Once he had some up with a vague idea about the general setup he gave his own opinion out loud, perhaps too loud given his inability to hear how loud he was speaking still, "Ai with the patients right?I can go with the captive and Al if we need, if we've still got wrapup I can handle that too."

She had a pulse, and that was good enough for now.  "+Control, we have recovered Agent Tanner -- she is alive for now but badly injured.  Awaiting medical personnel for transport of prisoner and casualties.+"

After pointing her out to Ai for triage, Richard glanced to James, pursed his lips and punched buttons on the note-taking app on his phone.  No need to stay.  Cleanup is already inbound.  Our job here is done for now.  We need to debrief and we have a prisoner to have interrogated, plus reinforcements to meet.

Agent Reyes, still out of contact?  Boded very, very ill.

(we can skip the ride home and assume everything worked out alright with regards to getting the wounded out and the prisoner secured in a cell. Great job everyone, despite a very tough start. I'll put up the next scene tonight where everyone, except our missing team member Sandra, is back at HQ.

Everyone, take 6 xp!)
