Welcome wagon

I am going the thief route. Pretty well rounded with expert scores (15-17) and specializing in one.

Sounds like a yes from at least one, then. Xiu-Xiu is a performer/mage, definitely good at communications and having a lot of general utility. There are a few things I'm going back and forth on, but that part is set.

Hello all, I was thinking an Ice Sorcerer, I still have 50 points left to add more utility.

Welcome wagon

I am thinking tracker / archer supplemented by minor magic.  Seems like that might fit well with the needs of the group so far, though I'm happy to consider other builds if need be.

Xander is an Enchanter, entirely straight mage here.

Welcome wagon

I got an Ice mage who mostly works as a Bounty hunter or Guard when its slow. So he is good at tracking down people and capturing them. I still got 12 points to put in stuff too...

Any healing? I had missed the note at first about Healing being for Priests. Of course, this runs into the whole issue that GURPS Fantasy ran into. If you allow Necromantic spells to non-Priests, then you pretty much open up all of Healing to non-priests because of prerequisites. Not sure what will happen with that...

Oups! Thank you, Jing Xiu-Xiu, notised

Please note the with the exception of Recover & Lend Energy the College of Healing is assigned exclusively to Priests.

only after you mentioned it. Have to re-build :(

Are Recover & Lend Energy counted towards the limit "one college per level of magery"?

My guess is that they go to the 20+IQ. Otherwise that's a pretty painful choice of Colleges.

Re: Welcome wagon

My Druid can probably pick up healing, but it won't be her focus.

Re: Welcome wagon

Oh, does anyone know about the Tech Levels? I know what's posted, but I don't know our default to know if, for example, TL3 would cost 5 CP or give 5 CP.

Re: Welcome wagon

In reply to Jing Xiu-Xiu (msg # 26):

TL and Wealth
• Third World Nations TL2 unless otherwise stated.
• Second World Nations TL3 unless otherwise stated.
• First World Races are TL4 unless otherwise stated.

apart from this I know that your characters chosen race and area of character generation do seem to play a part of what tech you have.  IE a human barbarian in the wild stepps is very unlikely to be TL4 but some scholar in Atlantis... assuming that Atlantis exists.

RPoL works differently than most forums. Most forums count from the beginning to fill pages. RPoL counts from the end backward. So there will be more and more posts on page 1 until we fill it. Then there will be full pages 2 and 3 and a nearly empty new page 1. This is really handy if you want to just look at the recent posts because they're all on the page you're on. It's not as handy when you want to go back to find something because the page it's on will keep varying between two pages. But you can always click on the link to see all the pages at once and do a quick word search on your computer; that will usually get you what you want.
