Kereru rose as Cable left. "Sir," he said, trying to affect a tone of relaxed respect rather than rigid attention.

Looking around at the others, he said, "Well, if the meetings over...?"

In reply to Etera Kereru (msg # 170):

Nish grinned at Etera.  "Yes the meeting is over.  Go do what you were going to do before being dragged here.  You can stay if you wish but it is for more relaxation and not mandatory."

Cesar Soares:
Recognizing Lt. Ch'Idrani as the senior officer in charge of the matter, he stood at the ready and began.

"With your leave, Lieutenant, should I begin checking the logs?"

Ke'Val nodded at the Yeoman.  "Acknowledged,"  he said in courteous tone. Turning to the Soares, he asks, "Ensign, what is your proficiency with the Klingon language? I have a basic fluency, myself, but am curious if you have more experience with translating Klingon."

Re: USS Minerva Park Deck
Steffi plopped her bag down by the pool then removed her gold tunic and was in her red bikini that had caused such grief back at San Fran.

"Don't forget to use the computers if you run into problems, it's accumulated lots of language over the past 100 years."

She joined Nish at the pool and climbed in.

"SQUEEEE   Cold."

Nish laughed at Stephanie and nodded.  "That's to keep you awake!  It is rather cool.  I'm glad now that I didn't wear my swimsuit."

Nish splashed Stephanie by kicking up the water with her foot.

SQUEEE

"Not fair!"

Pushes to far side getting chest deep in center.  Reaches farside to computer controls

"Computer increase water temp 10 degrees."

Heads back to Nish.

"There that should warm our toes up. Brrr."

Nish chuckled at Stephanie's reaction.  "I'm sure I do not know what you are talking about.  I was just testing your reaction speed."  Nish tried to look like she meant it but was sure she wasn't convincing anybody.

Phoebe ans Shan wandered by.

"Lt. Javari, I'm turning your cabin over to the ambassador. I'm sure you'll have no problem finding alternate quarters."

Phoebe grinned.

"Real quick. Like I wasn't sure who to boot, then I recalled the night we met. So it seemed obvious."

"Lt. Trasag, I had the bed in your quarters removed and replaced with a Tellerite model."

Back to Nish.

"Lt Cable was looking a little thick, I think he needs some exercise....Doctor....but just in case, I installed the wider Tellerite bed in his cabin too. Kirk said the Ambassador was coming up tomorrow evening."

In reply to Phoebe LeFurre (msg # 179):

Nish wondered what Phoebe meant at first but then when mentioning Steve just grinned.  "I'm sure he's been slacking.  I'll look into it.  I will get everything out by tonight.  Guess I can't say no when it's Kirk.  Just an Ambassador perhaps, but not Kirk AND an Ambassador."

Looks oddly.

"Oh. Not that Kirk...our Kirk, if you've never met her come up to the bridge and I'll introduce you to my Bridge Bunnies!"

In reply to Phoebe LeFurre (msg # 181):

Nish blushed and laughed.  "We have so many crew that I can't remember if I've met that Kirk or not.  I'll try to make it up to the bridge sometime.  Bridge Bunnies huh?  That's cute."

Nish looked over at Steph and kicked water at her again with a smile.  "Looks like your revenge dunking will have to wait Steph...and just when it was getting warmer.  Next time I'll bring my suit and we can take a swim ok?"

While Nish waited for Steph's reply, she composed a message and sent it to Steve before going back to her room to make sure things were ready to be moved.

Re: USS Minerva Park Deck
Dismissed from a way-too-informal party, Eteru made his exit stage left.  With time, he might feel that comfortable with the crew, but as a security man, he was trained to stay alert and sharp.  Relaxing was something that took... work.

"OK, though swimming will be tough here."

She gets out and towels off. Grabs her tunic and bag and goes back to Steve's abandoned blanket and lies down in the warmish air.

Nish looked at Steph and grinnd.  "Yeah, but I need the basket to tempt Steve to let me stay with him.  Well actually to apologize for just moving in.  I might even have to give back his fuzzy blanket.  I absconded with it earlier and have been holding it hostage."

Nish chuckles.  "It's only temporary and I think Phoebe had figured on this since without asking where I was going to stay at, she increased the size of bed in Steve's cabin."

Nish looked around and grinned.  "So I guess I can blame it on her if it doesn't work out."

Nish wondered if it would work out.  It would be a good test.

Re: USS Minerva Park Deck
Steffi was puzzled, but as an intel expert she thought about it.

"Oh well then, if it was ordered by the 1st officer, then it's just a chore. Wonder if, or what she'll order me to do next?"

Re: USS Minerva Park Deck
In reply to Stephanie Barrows (msg # 190):

Nish grinned.  "What starts out as an chore often turns into something quite enjoyable.  Phoebe assumed, right or wrong, that it would work out.  I know it will, for reasons that I won't mention under the 'don't kiss and tell' rule.  Besides the chore would have been me getting booted from my room for the Ambassador.  Where I chose to stay was on me."

Nish then gave Steph a little wave and started to hum a little tune as she picked up the picnic basket, leaving a few things for Steph to munch on.  She then giggled a bit as she left to go move her things into Steve's quarters.

"Moderate level, sir- non-technical conversation with ease. For technical topics, I might need to make reference. It should not be much issue when using recordings.

I'm told I speak with an accent that sounds... rustic to the ears of a native speaker.

"Then I suggest we review the transmissions together, in case there is something the other might catch." Ke'Val replied after a moment.  "Then after reviewing the recordings we can cross-reference with our intelligence resources. I believe the briefing room would be the appropriate place to conduct our review."  Ke'Val nodded to the Ensign, and then turned to lead the way to the turbolift.
