The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

Reaction to Hercules's Attack, Total: 18; Effect: d12, happening simultaneously with attack on Hydra Guard B:
Buddy    d6 +
Goon (given up trying to fight)    d4 +
(add to Doom Pool)
Hydra Armor    d6

Hydra Guard C rolled 5,4,3 using d6,d4,d6 ((5,4,3)).

Total: 9, Effect: d6

Extraordinary Success puts stress at d12+ so Hydra Guard C is stressed out

Doom Pool: 6d6, 4d8 + Step = 6d6, 5d8

Don't you have to use an opportunity-activated power stunt on the next action? I didn't think it was necessary to use it as a reaction roll since you didn't do that but do you have to use it on the next action (though it wouldn't have made a difference)?

The Hydra guards' skulls knock together with a satisfying CRACK. As they fall to the ground, they both mutter, in unison, a weak "Hail Hydra."

Doom Pool reaction to Human Torch's attempt to create asset, Total = 11  Effect = d8 (using Doom Pool from how it was when originally would have made the attempt):
Watcher rolled 6,2,6,3,5,5,7 using d6,d6,d6,d6,d6,d6,d8 ((6,2,6,3,5,5,7)).

Total = 13, Effect = d8.

You create the flaming "A" but it doesn't affect your opponents.

The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

The two Hydra guards, skulls thoroughly cracked, fall to the ground under the glow of the Human Torch's flaming "A" in the sky. The street is as still and empty as it was when you got here but now there seems to a certain electricity, nothing from the powers of a supervillain, but a feeling that these goons were just the beginning and that this is going to be a long night.

Next: Spider-Man
And that will be the last action in the round, so pick who goes first in the new round:
Initiative:
Spider-Man
Iron Fist
Hawkeye
Hercules
Human Torch
Iron Man
Black Panther

This is where the action is happening:

Basically the conflict with the thugs was in the alley under the bridge and in front of that building.

Carol is streaking through the sky, the air blurring around her from the speed. She sees the commotion on the ground and recognizes the all-too-familiar shapes and colors of those she has fought side by side with, argued with, and triumphed with.

She lands to the edge of the gathered group, her mask retracting off her face. She realizes this as the familiar sight of a just ended battle, but everyone is on edge and tensed for more. She reacts to the anticipatory energy as she tries to see just who they just battled, but is blocked by a wall of dudes.

She doesn't say anything, she's fought with most of these Avengers long enough that words aren't necessary, but she does give a nod of acknowledgement to those who meet her gaze.

Then add Capt. Marvel to the next round's line-up, to make it:
Initiative:
Spider-Man
Iron Fist
Hawkeye
Hercules
Human Torch
Iron Man
Black Panther
Capt. Marvel

It's still Spider-Man's turn, then picking who is first in the next round.

"You know three Hydra agents could easily turn into a battle with the Struckers, Mentallo, the Fixer, and some Dreadnoughts on loan. We've cut these three heads, wouldn't be surprised to see six more pop up".

Carol starts walking into the building closest to where everyone is standing. She doesn't know if it's where they were from, but searching the area as quickly as possible to stir up the nest is the best course of action.

Currently you and the Hydra thug bodies are gathered in the alley between a warehouse and the Department of Markets.  Of the two, the fish market had some activity during the day, as it does, but the warehouse, where the goons were hanging outside of, is clearly dead, maybe overly so. There's a single access door near where you are but then likely a bigger, utility door in the back, behind a fence, nearer to the river.

That split second between thought and action is all it takes...for Iron Man to join the gathering, flying in low and near silent. But...is it Iron Man? The power core in the suit's chest glows an emerald green, and the usual shiny, reflective red and gold hues of his armor are muted, matte colors of black and gunmetal grey.

Landing, and looking at the bodies of the Hydra Guards, the faceplate of the suit slides open, revealing the sly, smirking face of Tony Stark. "Gee, guys...and Captain Marvel", throwing Captain Marvel an impromptu wave, "...looks like you started the party already. Sorry I'm late."

Using the Panther raiment's built in microcomputer and his own senses, the Black Panther begins to compile a map of the surrounding blocks.  Pulling in information from traffic cams, CCTV cameras, power monitoring grids and even briefly tapping into a weather satellite tasked to remain in orbit over the region. He smiled at the last as it was only appropriate since the satellite was using a cheaper and much less effective knock-off of old Wakandan programming encryption.

Quickly, he compiles the data to make a map of the area, modifying it in several places to take into account the findings of his own enhanced senses.  It is not good to be overly reliant on technology.  Technology combined with the teachings of the old ways is the best.

A few of the late-night workers have wandered over from the fish market and are mulling about, seeing what happens next. They're likely Puerto Rican, gabbing to each other quietly in Spanish. Especially when Hercules speaks, they chuckle and natter with each other. A few of them are holding pens.

Additional Scene Distinction: Interested Bystanders
Doom Pool: 6d6, 5d8 - 1d8 = 6d6, 4d8

Approaching the side access door, you notice nothing out of the ordinary. It's a run-down warehouse that has fallen into disrepair over the years but nothing of note if you were driving or flying by. However, getting closer to the door, you notice the locks -- more than one -- are heavy, shiny, and new, with a tiny, red light on top. Which just turned to green.

Iron Fist, Panther, and Me will team up. Finally, Torch and Iron man will take the rear. When we hit trouble work with your squads. Communicate with each other." As Hawkeye finished he cursed himself. He was sounding like Cap. He never wanted to sound like him. He was the lone arrow in the night. A wild card with a bow. Definitely not, the soldier boy type.

I'll buy the two opportunities from you, to add a d8 to the Doom Pool and +1 PP to Black Panther.

Doom Pool (6d6, 4d8 +d8 = 6d6, 5d8) reaction to Black Panther's attempt to create asset, Total: 5, Effect: d6:

Watcher rolled 1,6,6,2,4,2,8,1,7,8,3 using d6,d6,d6,d6,d6,d6,d8,d8,d8,d8,d8 ((1,6,6,2,4,2,8,1,7,8,3)).

Total = 14, Effect = d8.

2 opportunities if you want them.

Going through the system once, then again, Black Panther still can't get a signal through. The Wakandan technology is sound but appropriating cheap, American satellites doesn't work as well. The last time this happened there was a massive, high-pressure weather system in the area, and, as he recalls, that was in the American summer as well. Perhaps it's just as well that the exterior of this area is not completely known, if the objective is inside this building.

Let me know where you are in that alley-way area (https://www.google.com/maps/@4...Q!2e0!7i13312!8i6656). The easiest way would be to state where you are in relation to the door to the warehouse, or toward the farther side of the alley, near the dumpsters closer to the fish market, or the knocked-out Hydra goons roughly between those two points.

From what I've gathered from the posts:
* The Human Torch has shouldered past Capt. Marvel to be first to the door;
* Capt. Marvel is close enough to the door to see the light on the lock;
* Iron Fist is just behind Capt. Marvel;
* Hercules is, presumably, near the Hydra goons;
* Hawkeye is parking his hover bike -- please indicate where;
* Iron Man could be near the Hydra goons;
* Black Panther could be anywhere around there.
Any of these can be adjusted, unless you've made a distinct action to arrive where you are.

The bystanders are mulling about closer to the dumpsters. There are only two cars in that parking lot, on the farthest side. Disregard Spider-Man.

"Really, Clint?", Tony started, standing next to the pile of goons, looking at Hawkeye, with the suit's external speaker on. "Billion Dollar Tin Can? That's not going to fit on a personalized plate...but it'll make a nice Twitter handle." Anticipating his request, the suit's A.I. spoke up in it's sultry, female voice: "Mr. Stark...I'm scanning now." "Good girl, Friday" was all Tony replied, satisfied that the new A.I. was performing well.
