Hey guys, in real-life, I've had a few gut punches.  My mom now needs more looking after.  Her health hasn't declined, thank goodness, but it has become more complicated in terms of time and efforts.

And I need to spend more time making more money.  I'm doing OK on eBay but I'm a long time from the Lear Jet, private Hawaiian island and travelling 'secretary'. ;-)

We aren't bothered too much by this in this game as it was on a back-burner anyway.  But it just means it is going be a bit longer before it returns.   As always, I appreciate y'all's patience. :-)

I'm doing pretty well. I have a new partner, a friend of mine of the last several years, and I'm taking a flight out to see them soon. That's pretty exciting, but also I'm disobeying the very first rule of traveling to Illinois that I've read on every guide to visiting Illinois: do not go in Winter. My Californian body is doing to freeze solid the moment I step off the plane. XD

Celes, a partner who is also a good friend is a rare thing. I'm glad for you.  I hope you didn't freeze in Illinois.  I would suggest my home state of Texas but we have trouble keeping the heat on when it gets cold. :-(

History. It's History with a focus in education. I'd prefer Military History but the college I'm at doesn't offer it and I don't wanna go through a length application period.

And ye, I'm having a pretty good time out here in Illinois! My partner and I have been keeping warm inside and only occasionally heading into town for supplies. Oddly enough I was warm enough getting off the plane that I didn't need to stop to put on my trenchcoat even though it was 13 degrees. Weird. The only issue I've really been having is getting my work done using just my phone and ipad at first, and now a rather slow Chromebook (which at least lets me access desktop-only services). Also finding time to practice music.

Also, half my family lives in Texas. Bexar County was actually named for my family, who founded it, and we have (or at least had) a strong presence in San Antonio, where almost everyone on my mom's side of the family still lives. That's an exciting bit of ooo I have on my birth lottery resume. :P

I'm all right, lots of work. I could never do all that work on a phone, I learned to touchtype really well but I never got the hang of typing on a phone more than slowly.

Hello all,

It has been a time since I have visited or posted.  The reason is that I am now spending my time trying to become a professional (that is, paid) gamemaster.  Money is a little tight and the only way I can now keep up with my hobby of role-playing games is if they are making me money.

And now I am finally ready.  My first pro games are about to begin.  I had to choose based on market factors (and not necessarily my first choices).  I will be shortly starting a James Bond 007 game and a Star Wars D6 game.  A Marvel Masks game might be in the future.  If you are interested, message me. :-)

Otherwise, I shall still drop by RPoL infrequently.  It might be nice to play a game now and then without worrying about running it.
